Worthless Profession: Dragon Tamer

Chapter 429, Journey to the Flying Immortal Ancient Shrine

Lu Fan asked, puzzled. “Why?”

Ye Wuxian solemnly explained. “Although the Flying Immortal Ancient Shrine has the magical effect of helping one constantly  gain Experience Points and enhance a Player’s understanding of their Profession Characteristics, it also has a restriction. That is, each Player can only enter it once, and can stay inside for a maximum of three days. When the time is up, you will be forcibly teleported out, and you can never enter it again.”

“To make best use of it, I would recommend that you wait until after you reach Level 90 before entering the Flying Immortal Ancient Shrine, so that you can maximize the benefits of the Special Secret Realm. As I mentioned before, before Level 90, you only need to kill Monsters to Level Up. But once you undergo your Fourth Profession Change, it becomes very difficult for Players to Level Up purely through Experience Points. At that time, you need to have a deeper understanding of your Profession. It is best to use the Flying Immortal Ancient Shrine at that time. Also with your strength, it won’t take you three years to reach your Fourth Profession Change.”

“In three years, once you reach Level 90 and have your Fourth Profession Change, it won’t be too late to enter the Flying Immortal Ancient Shrine.”

Ye Wuxian’s words caused Lu Fan to fall into deep thought.

Ye Wuxian’s suggestion was definitely the most scientifically reasonable, but the problem was, asking Lu Fan to leave a Divine Grade Treasure Map unclaimed and wait until he reached Level 90, several years later, would be torturous for him.

It was not that he lacked the patience, but rather that he did not think it necessary to place so much importance on this Special Secret Realm to Level Up.

After all, in this world, Secret Realms similar to the Flying Immortal Ancient Shrine must be countless. If he wasted one, he could just find another.

Right now, claiming the Divine Grade Treasure Map would provide a substantial boost to his strength. In comparison, Lu Fan’s interest in the Divine Grade Treasure Map was definitely higher than whatever the Special Secret Realm provided.

After thinking this through, Lu Fan still decided to claim the Divine Grade Treasure Map first!

So, Lu Fan firmly said. “It’s fine, Senior Sister. I’m very interested in this Flying Immortal Ancient Shrine and don’t want to wait until my Fourth Profession Change to go in.”

“If you have time, why don’t you take me to experience this Special Secret Realm? This world is so vast, and although Special Secret Realms are rare, they must not be few in number. I prefer to get everything I can now, rather than wait for the future.”

After Lu Fan finished speaking, Ye Wuxian did not refuse. She just smiled and shook her head. “You. Are you really that curious? Fine, since you want to go to the Flying Immortal Ancient Shrine, I’ll take you there right now.”

Lu Fan looked at Ye Wuxian’s dark circles and said. “Go there now? Senior Sister, why don’t you rest first…”

Ye Wuxian stood up directly. “I’m Level 96. I’ll be fine even if I don’t sleep for ten days. Why are you even worrying about me?”

As she spoke, she grabbed Lu Fan’s arm and pulled him out. “Let’s go. I’ll take you to the Flying Immortal Ancient Shrine first. After you enter the Flying Immortal Ancient Shrine, I’ll come back to rest and continue working on consolidating the three Ancient Noble Families. You can stay in the Flying Immortal Ancient Shrine for three days. Don’t waste it. Make sure to stay the full time before coming out.”

“I understand, Senior Sister.”

The two did not delay. Ye Wuxian directly took Lu Fan away from the Ye Family and headed deeper into the Western Border.

In the outer area of the Western Border, there were seven or eight Third Tier Ancient Noble Families.

The Residences of these Ancient Noble Families were all on the edge of the Western Border, not truly inside the Western Border.

The Map Resources that these Ancient Noble Families had pioneered were also deeper within the Western Border.

Although the Flying Immortal Ancient Shrine was owned by the Ye Family, it was at least two thousand kilometres away from the Ye Family Residence. If ordinary Third Profession Players were exploring this place, facing the High Level Monsters of the Western Border, covering one or two hundred kilometres in a day was already praiseworthy.

A distance of two thousand kilometres would definitely require a Fourth Profession Player to lead the way to cross.

However, this was not applicable to Lu Fan. After all, Fourth Profession Players were like ants to him, let alone the Monsters in the Western Border.

Perhaps, in the deeper parts of the Western Border, those places deemed Forbidden Areas, that his progress would be hindered. But out here, in the outer areas of the Western Border, Lu Fan moved as if walking on flat ground.

He directly summoned the Divine Bone Clone and let it carry him and Ye Wuxian, flying according to the coordinates Ye Wuxian had given him.

Along the way, whenever any unaware Monsters harassed them, the Divine Bone Clone just needed to spew a mouthful of white bone Dragon Breath to kill them, hardly wasting much time.

The Divine Bone Clone flew particularly steadily. If equipped with sofa sofas, it would definitely be a premium flying car.

Ye Wuxian had been busy for a day and two nights, and was already tired. Flying this way, without needing to guard against Monster attacks, allowed her to finally relax. She soon fell asleep, with her head resting on Lu Fan’s shoulder.

Seeing this, Lu Fan smiled without disturbing Ye Wuxian, gently holding her to prevent her head from slipping off his shoulder as she soundly slept.

The scenery of the Western Border was quite nice. Sitting on the Divine Bone Clone, feeling Ye Wuxian’s steady, long breaths beside him, and gazing into the distance was indeed a refreshing experience.

For this journey, the Divine Bone Clone flew for about three hours, and finally reached the coordinates mentioned by Ye Wuxian.

Lu Fan saw an ancient temple at the coordinates that had already collapsed.

This ancient temple was huge, but unfortunately, it was too old and had collapsed, becoming a large ruin.

However, on the ruins, one could clearly see a Secret Realm Entrance.

Beside the ancient temple, there were some living quarters where about twenty or thirty people were stationed, mostly Third Profession Players, with some Second Profession Players as well.

Without a doubt, these people were originally sent by the Huang Family to guard this Secret Realm Entrance. They were to prevent others from accessing it.

These people should already know about the Huang Family being pacified by the Ye Family, so they were now considered people under the Ye Family.

Seeing such a huge Bone Dragon flying in the sky, all twenty or thirty people became vigilant. They were prepared to notify the Ye Family of an enemy attack.

After all, they had not participated in yesterday’s battle and did not know that this Bone Dragon was actually Lu Fan’s Summon, not some Boss as they might have thought.

Lu Fan ordered the Divine Bone Clone to descend, flying to the Secret Realm Entrance.

Sensing that the Divine Bone Clone was descending, Ye Wuxian, who had been sleeping for more than two hours, slowly woke up, with drowsy eyes while wiping the drool from the corner of her mouth.

Such an adorably dazed appearance made her look very cute.
