Chapter 188: The head instructor is jelous

The instructor was an epic-ranked magus. The moment he arrived, he said, ”My friend there, no need to be so hostile. I am the head instructor of this examination.”

He was clearly looking at Ethan’s ancestor who was in the space.

When he said this, the situation calmed a little, but again it caused great surprise. Because Ethan was not alone, there were other candidates too.

When they heard that this man was the head instructor, a great panic and excitement washed over them. If they could win his favour somehow, there might be a chance they would be able to enter that sacred academy.

He said, ”Let me introduce myself. I am Lucas Gray, the head instructor of this admission test.”

Then he looked at Ethan as if to understand why this boy would say such inhuman words before.

So he asked, ”You are Ethan Di Raizel, correct? You said you wanted a 5 km radius of free area for testing your spell. Are you saying you have comprehended the spell?”

Ethan looked at him calmly.

”You are correct, Instructor Lucas. I am Ethan Di Raizel. As for your next question, yes, I have comprehended the spell.”

Lucas instantly lost his cool and said, ”How can that be?” It was quite louder than expected.

He immediately became a little embarrassed and coughed. ”I mean, how can you comprehend the spell so quickly? Did you see any change in the time limit there?”

Ethan was a little confused. ”What time limit? Was there a time limit showing in the token?”

Lucas nodded. It should have sent you a notification.

Ethan scratched the back of his head and said, ”I am sorry, Instructor. I did not notice it. This diagram was a little tough, so I was giving all my concentration there.”

Lucas was speechless.

”A little tough? Boy, even I cannot cast a supreme tier spell. Only the mythical level and above could cast them. You have got the chance of understanding the spell because you are fated, but it is not easy.”

He thought to himself.

Then he looked at Ethan. ”Okay, come with me. I will take you to a deserted area where you can test out your spell.”

Ethan nodded in agreement.

Lucas took Ethan and vanished. Relf was standing there like an abandoned child.

But Edian followed them from behind. Lucas did not stop him either.

Soon they reached a mountain range area. The area was huge.

Lucas said, ”It is the spell testing ground of the Supreme Magus Academy. If you really have mastered the spell, you will instantly become a student of the academy. You will not have to take part in the next phases.”

Ethan asked in confusion, ”Why?”

Lucas said, ”First show me. Then you will get your answers.”

Ethan nodded and stood in his position and activated the diagram he had just comprehended.

Mana started to flow inside his body in that unique pathway. Ethan did not use the mana from his core this time.

And then boom!

Dark clouds gathered over a 2 km range of area, and red lightning started to rain down from the clouds.

The grass and soil burned down to ashes.

It was a magnificent scene of destruction by the crimson lightning.

Huuff! Ethan breathed out the air. He was also quite nervous, as this was the first time he was using a top-tier spell, so he used only 2 km range and did not use 5 km. What if he were to tag a monster?

But what he did not know was that he had already tagged a monster. The highest-tier monster in human skin.

Lucas was standing there in a petrified manner. Sweat was dripping down from his head.

He asked in a shaky voice,

”Boy, which breed of monster are you? When you asked for a free range area, I expected you might be able to show me the mana direction of the diagram and that you were probably afraid of losing control, that is why you asked for such a large place.

But you can actually cast a supreme tier spell without incantation? How the heck can you do such a thing? Even the mythical beings could not use a supreme tier spell without an incantation.”

He looked at Edian in the space.

”Friend, please come out. Let us have a good chat.”

Edian came out with a wary smile. When he heard the words supreme tier spell and then again thought about what that brat did, he could immediately understand why this instructor had such a look on his face.

Edian said, ”Hello, I am Edian Di Raizel, the ancestor of him.”

Lucas looked at Edian with respect.

”God blessed your bloodline, my friend. You have produced a Ruler in your family. Humanity is grateful to you and your family.”

Edian instantly shook his head. He could not take such praise from someone of his own rank.

He said, ”You are too kind, my friend. This brat is just a little bit more talented. That is all.”

But while saying this, Edian felt his chest puffed up 5 meters tall. He felt like Ethan was his own grandson, but the generational gap was around a million years.

Lucas felt so jealous of this bragging old man.

If someone like Ethan had only been born in his family, he would wake up every day laughing out loudly. Sigh!

Ethan was looking at these two old men with confusion in his eyes.

Seeing Ethan’s confusion, Lucas smiled kindly.

”Ethan, let me tell you a secret. What you just learned was not a top-tier spell but a supreme tier. It is 4 tiers higher than the top tier. And you could cast it without an incantation.”

Ethan immediately understood he had overdone it. He thought if he could show off a little bit, that he could cast a top-tier spell without incantation, the academy would prioritise him more. But now that he thought about it, what he had just done was utterly monstrous.

He smiled wryly. ”Am I in trouble?”

Lucas ruffled his hair. ”What are you talking about, little guy? Why would you be in trouble?”
