Master Of None

Chapter 2977. Just A Little Information

Their group did not move as a few races they did not know appeared. Both of light and fire affinities.

They seemed to be sent by the guardians and other powerful followers that moved when asked by the true light sage and the true fire sage. However, they did not ignore the group. They gave nods of acknowledgement and approval but had their duties to focus on.

Solen knew of what Genesis could offer since they had not hidden anything, but clearly, the home that had just been brought here was something that needed attention. Mana flows were shifting and they needed to learn to exist here peacefully and protected before anything.

The good part was that they already had a developed means of protection due to their strength for years and years defending their home, it was even better that they had that level of understanding since they could also manage to help protect the borders of the elemental planes as they expanded here.

The strength of the eyes of sun race were just that high by comparison to some of the races within the deeper elemental planes areas.

”So, will you tell us more about what happened back there?” It was Su’s turn to demand some answers.

While they all grasped on to the fact that they had been watched and guided from the start, they all wanted to know a bit more about what Walker had been given. Especially since he had been speaking to another of the origin race and felt how they had been pushed with chaotic manas.

”I sensed that there was a wall protecting us from chaotic manas. We still ahd chaotic mana around but the entire area should have been more violent, so I thought that we were being guided since we had the ability and chances to learn and fix some things.”

Walker pointed at the melding manas and the new addition to the elemental planes. The home of the eyes of the sun race and their unique form of sun mana was just that much more proof of what they had managed to discover.

”You heard me ask and they gave us a push and this journal as help to learn about the sealing and dungeon crafting skills. They didn’t just hand me something that I could follow and just do everything though, I will need to study and figure it out. This journal is rotting, so it was barely a remnant left behind.”

Walker was a little perturbed by the fact that the paper was degrading and falling apart. It was both dry and soft but the rotten parts of it were just a part of the trouble since the writing had also faded. The entire quality proved that it was older than just about any other book or paper he had held so far. Or maybe it was just left to long in a horrid state without any protection. But he was leaning toward age as the reason for the state it was in.

’Journal of the dungeon sculptor; extremely damaged

This journal was created as the first human born dungeon sculptor took their oath to sacrifice all that they were to research and create dungeons. They expelled their own race, their potential, and their emotions to fully dedicate themselves to forging the path of the dungeon.

They allowed various wills of worlds, elemental planes, and even existence to utilize their mind and body to strive toward crafting dungeons to ensure balance and order within all that would be and was.

After this sacrifice, the body, soul, and mind of the sculpture degraded leaving a remnant behind that is forever held within the first dungeon ever created. As such, this journal is a lost remnant from that era explaining the smaller intricacies of studying and creating dungeon cores without causing severe backlash, change in class, and specifically utilizing elemental planes to achieve a dungeon core.

While this journal has lost ninety percent of its knowledge to time, decay, and mistreatment, it could be considered the greatest remaining evidence and tome holding knowledge about how to handle dungeons. Many would create wars over this within the greater existence that is still unknown to many.

This journal was once held by a powerful guardian origin being after they found it on a shard of an elemental plane consumed by a world eater serpent dragon. They held it and gifted it to a young origin being as a challenge to understand their new skills...’

Walker felt a little odd knowing that this had so much value but that the journal had become something used as a challenge by the origin being that had guarded them. Besides the fact that he was referenced within the journal appraisal itself proving that him receiving this journal was a very big deal.

Many books or items that were referencing people that held it or used it meant that that person had a major value to that item and the other details pertaining to it. Therefore, Walker could only imagine that he would be learning a lot here. That he would be able to do a greater amount with this tiny bit of knowledge than anyone else might.

”They gave up everything that they were, even their race to study dungeons and become a tool that caused balance and harmony within existence? Does that mean there is something beyond existence?” as Remey said it she felt a shiver.

To her, it felt like someone had just looked at her with great malice and threat. To the others, they swore they felt a warning being spoken even though they did not understand or hear a single word.

”I would guess that there is more and the will of existence is giving us a warning not to look in to that just yet.” Gil tried to laugh off the goosebumps on his body and the strange feeling that they were not supposed to even consider such a thing.

”I think that knowledge would be hidden from us. But Walker was allowed to see it so we are being tested and trusted not to move ahead of what we can do right now.” As much as Su wished to ask more questions since they all had them, she trusted the moment and believed in the positive side of everything here.

”I agree. I believe we are being given the chance to learn. I don’t expect myself to craft dungeons, I think, in here, this book will tell me how to take ahold of dungeons a bit better. How to seal them. Fill in the blanks of what I am already learning.

”So let’s look!” Midnight tried to sneak a glance at the book but found her held back by Walker.

”The book is damaged and needs to be cared for before anything. I have no skills to examine it properly and keep it from being further damaged. All of my skills that I have gathered are not specialized enough to deal with this. So I will have the best of the best archivists and restorers work with me when we get back.” Walker could easily isolate the journal within his multi demnsional storage. That was for the best right now.

”Talk about a let down. We almost had answers, you know!” The haughty attitude from Remey was how they all felt. They had been given some answers to what they could use but now they were held back.

Walker did notice he had grown a bit more too though. Specifically the amount of mana stored within his body and the size of the unified multi dimensional storage within him.

He had noticed changes with each interaction, but more so now than before because the manas were balanced and mixed perfectly. They also allowed there to be more changes in that development toward the herbs he had planted and the small insect monsters there. Walker felt like he could bring in slightly larger living monsters if he wanted. Maybe a very young horned rabbit that had yet to grow larger than a cabbage.

That was a thought for later. At the moment, the two golems manifesting were clearly pieces of the true light and true fire sages. They were here to speak with the party after their subordinates had managed to begin relationships with the eyes of the sun race.

It would be a short conversation since the group would head back now that they had made some achievements and also that Walker might have more knowledge to achieve some major goals.

Let alone the fact that staying here would just be causing some trouble for the eyes of the sun race who needed time to adjust to their situation before they considered going to Genesis. That they knew had radically changed and would keep changing. Space and time was necessary for them to grow from here on out.
