Master Of None

Chapter 2976 - 2796. Perfect

”Just like that we are walking to the fire elemental plane which somehow is nearby? It just feels all set up like we have been walking the perfect path.”

Gil had finally said it. While his tone was more like Remey’s, he was making a good point and the slightly sarcastic attitude just seemed to fit in with how things had gone for them in the past couple of days traveling.

”It’s not like that, every time we have come out here we have seen things we never imagined. Just take the eyes of the sun race following behind us. They are literally guiding their own elemental plane which was never possible before today. Something like that could never be just planned. It’s spontaneous.”

As much as they wanted to argue with Su, the romantic aspects of the story seemed too true and pure to argue with. Especially seeing and they had seen something amazing. How they had happened to be in the right place to do the most good.

Yet that was also what struck Walker as odd too.

He couldn’t respond to Gil for a moment even knowing that as they neared the place where the light and fire elemental planes met at the very edge that they were still doing something greater for other people who would most likely be another ally for Genesis one day.

”Let me see then.” Midnight turned her head from the small amount of bickering between Su and Gil that remey appeared to be enjoying as some form of entertainment while poking small comments in here and there. It was only natural for a family to tease and push a little.

Yet Midnight alone noticed Walker stopping and pushing his mana senses out further and further than normal. Even so thin that his internal mana was being used at a shocking rate.

Beyond what he normally used when he was keeping an eye on the whole of Genesis.

He had managed to train his true mana sense much further than that of what even he realized. It was part of his overall strength and even in terms of the origin race something he exceeded in more than the average origin race member. So much so that he noticed the chaotic manas all around them in the distance.

How they were swept away.

Blocked.

Kept from flooding where they moved even though he was not the one causing them to halt in any means whatsoever.

”I would say we are being protected a bit. From the chaotic mana and from the more dangerous things in the vast distance from us. I can barely see the wall around us and everything. Whatever it is keeping that back, it is watching but not interfering. It is giving us an opportunity to grow while also learning.”

He felt like this was the hand of the origin being he had met before.

That brief moment had shown him the grand strength and size of what he was growing toward. Yet it also has given everyone a way to change their perspective in terms of what they were becoming in the longest term they could imagine.

While everyone in the party knew that the world was a priority, they would grow beyond that.

They already had.

They were the first to bond with the elemental planes and begin moving through it and past it. They were also the ones creating the bonds that would help so many more do the same.

Therefore, what else could they consider but the fact that others who were growing the very elemental planes would be looking in on them?

A deep breath and slow sigh later, Walker looked around and at everyone else. ”We are bringing the eyes of the sun race with us because they are not an elemental plane you can craft with. It has a living intelligent race and you most likely do not believe you should tamper with them. But making an alliance with us is the perfect way to help them without doing so directly. It also lets me develop more as what I am and who I am.”

The comment was not loud, but Walker felt like he was shouting it since it did mean so much to him and the others. Let alone the eyes of the sun race.

”I have started to touch on sealing elemental planes, making dungeons, and crafting a multi dimensional storage space that holds every mana within me. A safe place that could help people I find out here while also protecting those who may lose everything. If I could ask for your guidance before we return to Genesis and the world I would appreciate it.”

”I know that some classes and skills are unobtainable to myself and those I stand for and represent daily. I will not force such things on them or myself if it is not safe enough. I just wish to have inspiration and a bit of knowledge so that I may help create places to bring the world and the elemental planes closer together. What is beyond that will come in time.”

He spoke to the nothing around then, but the shift in mana left a single rotten and worn journal suddenly in front of him.

It wasn’t a grand voice of power. Nor was it a shining figure that he thought he would see. He just found what seemed to be a remnant of something long, long forgotten and barely together.

”Thank you. I hope that I can thank you face to face one day when I am strong and knowledgeable enough. And, thank you for helping us meet the eyes of the sun race, they deserve to have more peace and you helped use get them that.” Everyone else felt a warmth in that moment, a proof of being cared for but not coddled.

The origin race clearly had roles grander than just finding elemental planes.

The one that was watching clearly held a role of protection. Potentially a guardian like class to more than just a single elemental plane. Potentially the entirety of the elemental planes. Or maybe just to the young origin beings or intelligent races found out in the unknown.

Despite that, Walker was more glad than anything.

He hadn’t found an origin race member, they had found him. Plus, they had kept some attention on him allowing him to do great things and see amazing things. Being happy and touched by this was nothing more than the baseline for how he and the others felt in this moment.

Yet, there was also a push.

Chaotic mana surged closer proving that with kindness there was also a tougher guidance. Something to push them along to finish their goals and allow for the natural state of the unknown here to return without the influence of another.

They rushed, moved as fast as they could and the sun sigil pulled harder at the elemental plane being guided by frantic eyes of the sun race. Solen only seemed to calm when the first tendrils of fire and light mana made contact with the seal on their home.

The moment that happened it was like a rubberband snapping.

The elemental plane slammed together with a bursting and potent fire and light mana from the elemental planes respectively. Allowing a merging process to begin and the seal Walker believed should have lasted three weeks to be absorbed as the base for the connection. The calming baseline that allowed harmony.

Solen appeared to be awestruck as the others, but even more so, seemed to be communicating with the mixed manas. Understanding their place in this and how blessed they were now.

Walker also didn’t even try to interpret this moment. He didn’t push his mana senses at it. He didn’t worry about the chaotic manas still moving toward them if only extremely slowly now. Instead, he watched.

He and the others watched as the perfect melding of an elemental plane mixed with the two elemental planes forming an entirely new and seemingly permanent border between the light and fire elemental planes with the perfect mixture of manas to make sun mana that might even attract and nourish the life mana within.

A moment that they could remember forever and one that taught them an unspoken lesson.

The broken and damaged journal pushed to the back of Walker’s mind sat in his hand. A memory of something he would study and something he would try to decipher. A remnant relic that was surely important to him but not as important as this moment.

A new race had just joined the elemental planes in the most orderly and perfect unity to the greatest elemental plane ever. And there was so much potential for it to happen again if Walker could organize himself and push toward the growth needed to achieve such things.
