Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

Clearing the City District

Lin Ye communicated with the three teammates through Mia. At this time, some Alienation Creatures affected by the ritual still remained in the city district. These residual Alienation Creatures were all relatively far from Alienation Park, and their degree of Alienation was continuously increasing. Even if Lin Ye didn’t deal with them, they would gradually become part of Alienation Park.

However, due to limited time, Lin Ye could only ask the park’s mascot, the little dinosaur, to take action.

Chess: This place is too terrifying. Those Mutation Structures around us won’t attack us, right?

Chess and the other two had already gathered with Mia. They had been operating on the outskirts of the city district before, not daring to approach the center of the Alienation Ritual at all.

Lin Ye: As long as I still control this area, they won’t attack you. But the previous attack from outside cut off my control over the Alienation zone. If the other side launches that kind of attack again, you’ll have to evacuate from the city district as quickly as possible.

Caris: So we could die here at any moment?

Lin Ye: No, you would become part of the Alienation zone. It would be difficult for you to die even if you wanted to.

Amy: Is that supposed to be comforting us?

Lin Ye: Of course not. What I mean is, if an accident occurs, try to run as fast as you can.Chess: Roger that.

Amy: We are approaching the city center. There seems to be a large Alienation Creature there.

Lin Ye: I know. You can tell this information to the dinosaur walking ahead. Her name is Mia. She will go and deal with that Alienation Creature.

Amy: Okay.

Amy told Mia the location of the Alienation Creature. Mia quickly ran towards the location of the Alienation Creature.

It was a fluid Alienation Creature covered in rotting mutation organs. It was like a flowing swimming pool, with all sorts of bizarre Mutation Structures growing inside the pool water.

Mia wasted no words. She directly ran up and engaged in close-quarters combat with the Alienation Creature, whose size was as large as a football field.

For Mia, there was only one way to use a host body, and that was close-quarters melee combat.

Lin Ye took the opportunity to control the Parasitism creatures following behind Mia to surround the pool monster. The attack method of these Parasitism creatures was also very simple: they divided the pool monster’s body through Parasitism.

The pool monster’s size began to shrink. With Mia attracting firepower at the front, it completely couldn’t spare the attention to deal with the bugs around it.

And as the pool monster’s size continuously decreased, its already blurry self-awareness was further affected by the ritual, gradually becoming part of this Alienation Park.

But the pool monster wasn’t completely powerless to resist. It was brewing some kind of liquid inside its body that could corrupt flesh and blood. Many parts of Mia’s body were stained with that corrupting liquid, leaving spreading rotten wounds.

However, as Mia ate the pool monster’s flesh and blood, the spread of this rot was quickly suppressed. This was the strength of this host body: it could grow by consuming special flesh and blood.

Lin Ye: Tell Mia that the residual Alienation Creatures around are gathering towards you. Also, I just suffered that previous kind of attack again. My control over the city district is now greatly weakened. However, I’ve left you an escape route. As long as you don’t run around randomly, the Alienation Creatures that have already become part of the city district won’t attack you. The Alienation Creatures that went with you will show you the way.

Lin Ye couldn’t possibly be completely unprepared after suffering an attack once before. He had already planned his response in case of another attack.

Chess: Roger that... We are retreating towards Alienation Park!

Caris: Alienation Creatures are blocking our escape route! They seem to be cooperating to hunt us!

Amy: Many Alienation Creatures are approaching!

Lin Ye: Don’t panic. Have Mia lead you to escape via a different route. Her host body has that kind of ability. My Alienation Creatures will cover your retreat.

Lin Ye stood by the window. Although he couldn’t sense the situation in the city district, so far, all the enemy’s arrangements hadn’t exceeded his control.

Except for those vanished anomalous creatures.

’The problem now lies with those vanished anomalous creatures. Who exactly made them disappear? If it was the merchant guilds’ method, then what is their purpose? Where are those anomalous creatures now?’

Lin Ye really disliked this kind of uncertainty, mainly because he couldn’t figure out why the merchant guilds would do something beneficial to him.

If it wasn’t done by the merchant guilds, then who was helping him?

Could it be that those anomalous creatures weren’t planning to complete the festival parade and had escaped somehow?

But Lin Ye hadn’t detected any spatial fluctuations. Moreover, this was a system activity. Could those anomalous creatures really escape before completing it?

They couldn’t have been eaten by Penguin Baby, could they?

Chess: We’ve broken out of the Alienation Creatures’ encirclement! But they keep chasing from behind, and they’re accelerating. We can’t completely shake them off!

Lin Ye: Of course you could escape. I’m not denying your efforts, but your route was planned by me beforehand. That pool monster was also a pre-selected target.

Caris: You already knew those monsters would come to besiege us!

Lin Ye: I didn’t know, nor do I care whether they would come to besiege you, because that point isn’t important. These are all part of the plan. No matter how they act, the outcome is predetermined.

Amy: You considered every possibility?!

Lin Ye: No, I just formulated an action plan for what was highly likely to happen. It’s just that none of them exceeded the scope of the plan.

And those vanished anomalous creatures were not within Lin Ye’s plan.

Chess: So what should we do now?

Lin Ye: Just keep running. Also, there should still be some Alienation Creatures I created remaining near you. Stay close to them.

Amy: Roger that!

Seeing Lin Ye’s message, the three hurriedly picked up one of the Alienation Creatures that had been running alongside them. Those Alienation Creatures didn’t resist, just looked at them curiously.

Caris: Huh? The Alienation Creatures behind us seem to be fighting each other!

Amy: They really are. Is this also part of your plan?

Lin Ye: The instinct of Alienation Creatures is to mutate more powerful mutation organs. Alienation requires sufficient materials and energy. I placed an activated instinct Rule Crystal below that city district area. Those Alienation Creatures are influenced by instinct and will naturally attack each other. Once the effect of the Rule Crystal ends, you can go back and clean up.

Chess: We weren’t affected because of these Alienation Creatures?

Lin Ye: Correct. If I can enhance instinct, naturally I can also suppress it.

Caris: When should we go back?

Lin Ye: Tell Mia about this. She knows when to go back.
