Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

Map Edge

’That library must have a purpose for existing... Someone sealed the library’s doors and windows, and they likely left a way to escape here... Could it be that you can leave from the dangerous areas at the edge of the bookshelf?’

Lin Ye seriously contemplated methods to escape this place. He wasn’t sure if this could resolve the abnormal incident, but trying it would at most just waste one Simulation Attempt.

”What should we do now? Go to other places, or stay here and wait for rescue?”

Landy suddenly spoke up and asked.

”Can we wait for rescue?”

Lin Ye felt it was unlikely. He thought the organization would try to destroy this place.

”... Hard to say.”

Landy also didn’t think anyone would come in looking for them.

”Then we can only go to other areas. I don’t want to wait here to die.”Lin Ye decided to first go take a look at the dangerous area located at the edge of the bookshelf.

They were currently at the location of the book ”Highway Horror.” As long as they passed through one dangerous area, they could reach the edge of the bookshelf.

”Then which place should we go to?”

Landy asked.

”That small restaurant looks relatively safe, what do you think?”

Through the previous simulations, Lin Ye had gained some understanding of Landy. He could guide Landy to cooperate with him.

”Alright, but you have to scout ahead.”

Landy didn’t refuse Lin Ye’s suggestion.

”Fine.”

Lin Ye quickly drove the truck and found the location leading to ”High-End Restaurant.”

The two split up to act. Before long, they successfully opened the gap and entered the interior of the restaurant.

Lin Ye cautiously observed the movements inside the restaurant. This area was extremely quiet; it seemed there was nothing dangerous.

”Should we split up to act? Or explore here first?”

In this simulation, this was Landy’s first time passing through cardboard.

”Split up. If you encounter something dangerous, shout for help loudly. Don’t get captured by a monster.”

Lin Ye looked towards the restaurant’s windows. Something seemed to be watching them there.

”You should worry about yourself.”

Landy walked towards the restaurant’s Back Kitchen.

After the two separated, Lin Ye quickly found the cardboard on the restaurant’s second floor. Just as he pried open the cardboard, a cry for help also sounded from Landy’s side.

Lin Ye rushed towards the Back Kitchen at his fastest speed. When he entered the Back Kitchen, Landy was already submerged by the flesh structure that occupied the entire Back Kitchen.

”Dammit, couldn’t you have held on a little longer?”

Lin Ye charged forward with the Short Knife Landy had given him earlier. Since he was very familiar with these flesh structures, he quickly pulled Landy out from within them.

”Follow me!”

Lin Ye turned and ran. Those flesh structures were already starting to go berserk.

The two quickly ran to the restaurant’s second floor and left this area through the gap.

”Thanks, I almost couldn’t get out.”

Landy spat out saliva and tore at the flesh structures stuck to his body. His mouth was filled with the taste of blood.

”No need to thank me. If you died, I’d be trapped here, so you’d better be careful.”

Lin Ye looked around. They were on an isolated island in a vast sea. The island was only a few hundred square meters, with a lighthouse several dozen meters tall standing at its center.

The sea was a normal blue color. The environment still had no spiritual energy.

Lin Ye walked to the edge of the island. Below the island was a massive Shadow. That Shadow wasn’t moving, nor was it attacking them.

”... What is this?”

Landy also noticed the Shadow in the sea. He lowered his voice, afraid of attracting the Shadow’s attention.

”I don’t know either, but I think we’d better not disturb it.”

In this kind of environment, facing such a massive creature, Lin Ye could only choose to escape from here as soon as possible.

The two began to split up and act. Lin Ye quickly found the cardboard and created a gap in it.

But he wasn’t in a hurry to enter the gap. Since the Shadow below wasn’t attacking them, perhaps they could stay here a while longer.

Lin Ye successfully persuaded Landy. The two began searching for cardboard at different locations on the island. Before long, they successfully found three dangerous areas.

One of these dangerous areas was precisely the small restaurant they had passed through earlier. When they broke through the cardboard, the restaurant’s second floor was already almost completely filled by those flesh structures.

Fortunately, those flesh structures didn’t come over, otherwise they would have had to run for it immediately.

”Two areas we can enter. Which one do we choose?”

Landy also noticed the pattern between these areas.

”No, I plan to go take a look inside the lighthouse.”

Unlike Landy, who didn’t know the regional map, Lin Ye knew this place should connect to three dangerous areas. That made the lighthouse located at the island’s center very strange.

Such an obvious building, yet unrelated to the area structure here, was clearly abnormal.

”Isn’t that locked?”

Landy had wanted to go take a look inside the lighthouse earlier, but the lighthouse’s large door was locked with a thick iron chain.

”You forgot? I’m a D-Class personnel. Lockpicking and robbery are basic skills for D-Class personnel.”

Lin Ye walked near the lighthouse’s large door. He asked Landy for a can of energy drink, then used the Short Knife and the energy drink can to craft a piece of metal wire.

Using the metal wire, Lin Ye spent only a dozen seconds to pick the lock on the thick iron chain.

After opening the large door, the two entered the lighthouse’s interior. Inside were some daily necessities, but they seemed to have been unused for a long time.

The lighthouse had four floors. The first three were living areas, and the top floor was where the lighthouse was activated.

”Should we split up to act here?”

Landy stood at the lighthouse’s top, gazing into the distance at the massive Shadow in the seawater. Just looking at that Shadow gave him a slight sense of fear.

”Mhm, you go down. I think this place might connect to some special location.”

Lin Ye stayed at the top of the tower without moving. Not long after Landy left, he felt the cardboard that appeared beside him.

After the cardboard was broken through, Lin Ye saw a highway on the other side of the gap.

At that moment, Landy returned to the lighthouse’s top. He spotted that highway at a glance.

”Could this be?!”

Landy asked excitedly.

”I don’t know. Maybe it is, maybe it’s just a trap.”

Lin Ye felt the location where this highway appeared was very problematic. But if considering this was the edge of the bookshelf, there also seemed to be a possibility of escaping the abnormal incident from here.

”Then should we go over?”

Landy suppressed the excitement in his heart and asked.

But before Lin Ye could answer, the sky suddenly turned overcast, like the change in sky color before rain. The two simultaneously turned their heads and discovered a giant Humanoid Figure was looking down at them from behind the lighthouse.

Lin Ye grabbed Landy, who wanted to jump into the gap. The timing of the other’s appearance was just too coincidental.
