Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

The spiritual energy condensation device was on the verge of collapse, but before its final breakdown, it performed its duty exceptionally well.

Charging complete, Lin Ye pulled the trigger again, forcibly anchoring himself in place.

The mid-stage alien sensed the high-energy beam and instantly shifted position, only to discover this shot wasn’t aimed at it but at the alien army behind.

Numerous ghouls were pierced through by this shot, including two third-stage ghouls.

The mid-stage alien couldn’t care less about the lives of low-level ghouls—it only wanted to eliminate the enemy in the stronghold quickly and seize that dangerous weapon.

Charging complete, Lin Ye continued firing, this shot clearing another swath of aliens.

Sensing the high-energy beam, the mid-stage alien kept changing positions, believing Lin Ye was clearing the ghoul army just to lower its guard. The closer the distance, the harder to dodge—the final shot would definitely target it.

As the last bullet finished charging, the spiritual energy condensation device collapsed, and the stronghold’s spiritual energy shield completely vanished. The mid-stage alien cautiously approached the stronghold.

Lin Ye opened the sniper scope but didn’t aim at the mid-stage alien. Its reaction speed was extremely fast—it would change position the instant it sensed the high-energy beam.

Unless Lin Ye could predict where it would move next, there was no possibility of hitting it.But this was nearly impossible. Lin Ye had observed its previous position changes—distance, direction, movement... There was no pattern in its shifts.

Taking the final shot at the mid-stage alien would be like randomly guessing one position out of countless possibilities. If the enemy chose to stand still, the chance of hitting would be zero.

So Lin Ye still aimed at the alien army for the final shot.

The Peace Gun’s charge was almost full.

Only if the Peace Gun transformed again would they have a chance to counterattack.

If this shot’s kills couldn’t trigger the Peace Gun’s transformation, Lin Ye would choose to return to the Shelter because staying would be meaningless.

The high-energy beam passed through the alien army, taking out the last two third-stage aliens and numerous first and second-stage aliens. The silver sniper rifle disappeared.

Lines of text different from system notifications appeared before Lin Ye’s eyes.

[Enemy mid-stage unit detected approaching, switch to low-level spiritual energy armament?]

”Yes.”

Some silver-white components materialized around Lin Ye, reassembling on his body to form a complete set of silver-white high-tech full-body combat armor.

Wearing the armor, Lin Ye sensed a connection to a silver-white war fortress larger than Kalan City.

The mid-stage alien charged into the stronghold, triggering numerous rune traps that had no effect on it.

Through the full-view analysis screen of the fully enclosed helmet, Lin Ye could easily see every movement of the mid-stage alien and respond accordingly based on the combat prompts displayed.

The armor analyzed the strength and speed of each enemy movement. As long as the enemy’s actions fell within the armor’s calculations, Lin Ye only needed to make corresponding movements to defeat the opponent.

If Lin Ye couldn’t execute the required movements, he could even relinquish control to the armor, letting it fight for him.

”...Is this how technology changes life?”

Actually, with the armor’s enhancements, Lin Ye’s physical attributes weren’t far from the mid-stage alien’s, but he wanted to experience the high-tech armor, so he let it take control.

While the armor was brutally beating the mid-stage alien, Lin Ye also contemplated what he would do if he encountered similar high-tech enemies.

Before he finished thinking, the mid-stage alien was beaten to death by the armor.

After clearing nearby ghouls, the armor propelled Lin Ye using spiritual energy jets to near Kalan City. Since Lin Ye’s earlier shots had wiped out the third-stage ghouls, the low-level ghoul army had fallen into chaos.

Drawing the armor’s built-in energy-gathering blade, Lin Ye rampaged through the chaotic alien army. In less than ten minutes, the alien forces were scattered.

Lin Ye didn’t pursue them because this armor continuously drained his mental energy and nearby spiritual energy. If not for the decent spiritual energy concentration on the battlefield, his internal energy would have been completely depleted.

Ignoring the army charging out from Kalan City, Lin Ye submitted the mutation organs required for the low-level concentrated nutrient solution extractor mission, filled his loot space to capacity, and quickly ran back to the stronghold.

Returning to the stronghold, Kara was still hiding in the center. After seeing the gruesome state of corpses in those rune traps, she didn’t dare move around recklessly.

”Sir, you’ve returned.”

Kara stood up and saluted. Kalan City was still standing—they had won.

”Mm, should I escort you back?”

Lin Ye led Kara out of the stronghold, absorbing the surrounding spiritual energy.

”No need, the ghouls have all fled. I can return on my own... You saved Kalan City. Won’t you come to the city to see?”

Kara looked curiously at Lin Ye—she still didn’t know who he was.

”We saved Kalan City together. Without your help charging the weapon, I could only have killed some low-level creatures at most. I have other matters to attend to, so I won’t be going.”

Watching Kara leave, Lin Ye took out the Consolidation Potion and drank it in one gulp.

After this battle, his physical condition had reached the first-stage limit—it was time to advance.

A burning sensation spread throughout his body as massive amounts of spiritual energy flooded in, circulating repeatedly within him, strengthening his bones, nerves, flesh, and blood.

The Seed of Spirit grew in the darkness—his mental energy had increased again.

After completing his advancement, Lin Ye chose to return to the Shelter.

Returning to the Shelter, Lin Ye immediately grabbed the fat pigeon standing on Little Black’s head.

”Coo coo?”

”Big brother, could you lend me your ride to play with for a couple days?”

Lin Ye rubbed the pigeon’s plump belly, trying to curry favor.

”Coo coo.”

The pigeon shook its head helplessly.

”Sigh, I knew it would be like this. Fine, next time we meet, please lend me this skill again.”

Lin Ye gave up on his brown-nosing behavior and began organizing the loot from this activity.

What interested him most was the low-level concentrated nutrient solution extractor. He’d obtained the blueprint for this thing long ago but only just completed the blueprint mission now.
