Global Survival: I Got the D-Rank Personnel Simulator

”See you guys tomorrow in the group chat.”

”See you tomorrow in the group.”

”May the big shot bless me to choose a safe station.”

”Wish Old Yu finds a safe toilet.”

Yu Feng: I really thank you for that.

”Ha, I’m dipping out first, you all keep chatting.”

...

Lin Ye, fully armed and holding the fox, leaned against the bedside. The countdown was about to end, and the shelter was so quiet you could hear breathing and heartbeats.

”Chirp chirp.”

”Okay, see you next time.”【00:01】

【00:00】

………………………

This time it was still the old-fashioned train start. Through the window, only the enclosed tunnel was visible, with no view of the outside.

The compartment contained four survivors including Lin Ye, matching exactly with the chat room avatars.

Sitting opposite Lin Ye was a tall woman around 30 years old named Jiang Yu. She wore a heavy lead-gray jumpsuit, carried a very long hunting rifle on her back, and had a gentle smile on her face.

Next to Jiang Yu was an elderly gentleman named Feng Youcai. He appeared to be over 50 years old with graying hair and wore a pair of black-framed glasses.

The survivor sitting opposite Feng Youcai was called Wang Yao, a young woman wearing a black jumpsuit dress and black leather pants, with bangs covering her eyes and a black soft hat on her head.

Feng Youcai: Mr. Lin Ye?

Lin Ye: Yes, I’m Lin Ye.

Jiang Yu: Wow, a celebrity! Let’s take a photo together later.

Wang Yao: Thank you for your spiritual energy circulation diagram. It has truly helped many people.

Lin Ye: You’re welcome.

Feng Youcai: This isn’t just politeness. Collecting all ten Mutation Cards is difficult, but collecting all Mutation Cards and being willing to share them freely—you’re the only one who has done this. Before this, many people could only experiment with circulation paths using their own bodies. These experiments mostly failed, and the consequences of failure were quite severe.

Jiang Yu: Hehe, with Big Shot Lin here, I can relax and take it easy.

Wang Yao: The stronger the survivor’s ability, the more difficult the station mission. You don’t even know that?

Lin Ye: Indeed, the station missions I’ve participated in were quite difficult. There was even one time the system didn’t assign me any teammates. Has that happened to you all?

Jiang Yu: ...Big shot, please don’t scare me.

Wang Yao: That really hasn’t happened.

Feng Youcai: Could it be that the system didn’t assign you teammates to protect the other survivors?

Lin Ye: Could you all not use honorifics? I’m only in my twenties.

Jiang Yu: Okay then.

The chat room popped up two notifications:

【Please choose any station to disembark, survive at that station until the train arrives tomorrow, and leave the station by boarding the train】

【Note: After ten stations, the train will enter the Shallow Sea Area】

A line of system notification appeared before Lin Ye’s eyes:

【Acquired special skill: Cunning】

【Cunning】

【When you tell a reasonable piece of false information, if everyone present believes this information, then this false information will become true information (1/1)】

【Note: Deception? No, I only speak truth】

’Doesn’t feel as useful as Inspiration...’

Lin Ye wanted to go back and discuss with the fox, but tomorrow would be time to draw new cards.

Soon, the first station arrived.

It was still a station introduction similar to a movie poster:

Four friends go camping in the wilderness together, awaiting them is a long-planned conspiracy. Will they survive to see the sun the next day?

Below the text was a wilderness campsite where four abstract figures holding skewers were roasting meat around a campfire. Beyond the firelight, shadows proliferated.

Lin Ye: Not bad. Although there’s not much information, the environment seems good. But with only one picture it’s hard to say. Should we go to the next station?

Thinking of that city under the Red Moon, Lin Ye decided to listen to his teammates’ opinions.

Feng Youcai: A long-planned conspiracy... doesn’t feel good.

Jiang Yu: I’m fine with anything. The roasted meat looks delicious.

Wang Yao: Let’s check the next station. We still have eight choices left.

Lin Ye: That works too.

Ten minutes later, the train arrived at the second station.

Station introduction:

Your friend won a travel package from some tour group, so you and your friends happily board the tour group’s bus, even though none of you have heard of the destination.

Below the text was a moving bus. At the end of the road stood a luxury hotel built among the mountains.

Lin Ye: This one isn’t bad either. Why do I feel like this round’s stations aren’t very difficult?

It wasn’t that Lin Ye wanted to encounter high-difficulty stations—he just felt somewhat unaccustomed to it.

Jiang Yu: Let’s go with this one. I’ve never stayed in a luxury hotel before.

Feng Youcai: Not going to look further? I don’t have objections either.

Wang Yao: The enemies might be the tour group. My talent ability can collect information, but I need to control the tour group staff first.

Lin Ye: Don’t jump to conclusions. The enemies might not be obvious. The tour group might just be a facade. Put your weapons away. Let’s first pretend to be ordinary tourists.

Feng Youcai: Let’s disembark first.

The four disembarked from the train and entered the light green portal at the exit one by one. Lin Ye lost consciousness.

【Station selection completed. Additional tasks obtained, optional】

【1. Eliminate enemies. Receive rewards based on enemy numbers and strength】

【2. Protect other tourists in the tour group. Help them escape the resort hotel. Receive rewards based on number of survivors】

【3. Find and eliminate the mastermind behind the scenes】

The chat room popped up three additional tasks. Lin Ye woke up inside the moving bus.

He sat in the window seat of the last row, with Jiang Yu sitting beside him.

Feng Youcai and Wang Yao sat together, diagonally in front of them.

Besides them, the bus contained 16 passengers, one driver, and one tour guide.

Lin Ye scanned quickly, memorizing the general appearance of every passenger in the vehicle.

The 16 passengers consisted of two couples, a senior tour group of eight elderly people, a solo male traveler with professional camera equipment, and three students on a graduation trip.

Lin Ye: First, conceal your identities. Don’t attract others’ attention.

Jiang Yu: Then how about we disguise as siblings?

Lin Ye: Okay, sister.

Feng Youcai: We could disguise as father and daughter, if you don’t mind.

Wang Yao: That works. I happen to be in my rebellious phase and don’t want to talk to my dad.

Feng Youcai: Sigh, if I had a daughter she’d probably be about your age... Never mind, let’s not talk about that. My talent ability is related to close combat. If I get close, I can quickly eliminate ordinary third-tier spiritual energy users.

Lin Ye: My talent ability is a support type that’s unusable now, but my combat ability is decent. I can also handle ordinary third-tier opponents.

Wang Yao: I can hypnotize and control enemies through eye contact, but it doesn’t work on people with high mental energy.

Jiang Yu: My talent ability is related to hunting. I can track prey and also eliminate prey.

Lin Ye: Then we’ll split into two groups later. You two will be responsible for gathering information inside the hotel. We’ll check the surrounding terrain outside the hotel. Old Feng, I’m entrusting Wang Yao to you.

Feng Youcai: Received.
