Ling Tian Sword God

Chapter 1403: Chapter 1402: Two Sword Technique

”Congratulations, Ling Chen.”

At this time, Jue Mingxiang and Snow Princess, along with others, approached and offered their congratulations to Ling Chen with cupped hands.

Although Source Yoshihiro and Liusheng Bushou were somewhat reluctant, they too stepped forward and cupped their fists towards Ling Chen.

Ling Chen’s gaze fell upon Gongben Yeliang, and the meaning in his eyes was very clear.

Understanding Ling Chen’s intentions, a gleam suddenly flashed in Gongben Yeliang’s eyes, realizing that the other planned to spar right here with him.

What was there to be afraid of, he had long wanted to test himself against Ling Chen.

After all, even though Ling Chen had reached higher levels in Sword Prison, it didn’t mean his strength was necessarily superior. In terms of actual combat ability, it wasn’t simply who reached more levels in Sword Prison that determined strength. He was confident that his Two Sword Technique would not be inferior to Ling Chen’s Swordsmanship.

”Alright, let’s begin then.”

A curve appeared at the corner of Ling Chen’s mouth, and he promptly removed the sword scabbard from his waist, gesturing in a void towards Gongben Yeliang, saying, ”Make your move.”

”What’s this supposed to mean?”

Seeing this scene, Source Yoshihiro and the others were rather surprised. Ling Chen seemed not intent on drawing his sword, planning to use only a sword scabbard to face Gongben Yeliang?

This was too much disdain for Gongben Yeliang, wasn’t it?

”Ling Chen, don’t be too arrogant!”

Gongben Yeliang’s face darkened; what a joke he thought it was. He considered himself of the same level of genius as Ling Chen, yet Ling Chen didn’t regard him as a threat at all, wishing to battle using merely a sword scabbard. Wasn’t this laughable?

”Draw your sword immediately if you want suspense in this duel; otherwise, you’re inviting humiliation on yourself!”

Gongben Yeliang said coldly.

”That’s not necessarily true.”

Ling Chen shook his head, ”If I draw my sword, you wouldn’t last three moves, and there would be no suspense whatsoever. Not drawing the sword adds a bit of suspense to the duel.”

”Ha, well, don’t blame me for being impolite then!”

Furious, Gongben Yeliang chuckled bitterly, drawing the twin swords from his waist in anger. He wanted to see where Ling Chen’s so-called suspense lay!

With twin swords drawn, Gongben Yeliang came attacking Ling Chen, his twin swords almost simultaneously swung with extreme coordination, slicing towards Ling Chen’s throat.

Ling Chen remained undisturbed, the sword scabbard in his hand directly blocking and deflecting Gongben Yeliang’s twin swords with a spin, leaving no room for advancement.

”Dual Blade Style, Reverse Slash!”

Gongben Yeliang shouted loudly, his twin swords emitted red and blue glow, almost at the moment of breaking open Ling Chen’s sword scabbard, slashing towards Ling Chen’s vital points!

However, Ling Chen seemed to have anticipated Gongben Yeliang’s move, and the sword scabbard had already precisely struck, continuously blocking Gongben Yeliang’s twin swords.

”Let’s see how long you can block!”

Gaining the upper hand, Gongben Yeliang’s sword speed suddenly increased, his twin swords like lightning continually struck towards Ling Chen, aggressively pressing.

At this moment, Ling Chen’s left hand removed the Red Sky Sword Scabbard from his waist, using both hands and two sword scabbards in battle.

”Is Ling Chen also familiar with Dual Sword Stream?”

Watching the sparks flying in the air, everyone was taken aback. To use two swords in perfect coordination was the essence of Dual Sword Stream, similar to the principle of the Two Sword Technique.

”Brandishing Great Axe before an expert!”

Seeing this, Gongben Yeliang laughed, Ling Chen employing Dual Sword Stream before him, a descendant of the Gongben Family, was akin to displaying poor craftsmanship before an expert—utterly ridiculous.

This fellow was outrageously arrogant, using a sword scabbard, and employing this mediocre Dual Sword Stream to fight him, attempting to humiliate him, a successor of the Two Sword Technique, perhaps deluded.

Suddenly accelerating his assaults, Gongben Yeliang quickly overwhelmed Ling Chen, claiming absolute superiority.

”Ling Chen underestimated Gongben Yeliang, not drawing his sword and merely using sword scabbards and even employing Dual Sword Stream against him.”

Snow Princess shook her head; as even she thought Ling Chen was too dismissive of Gongben Yeliang. The Gongben Family was the progenitor of the Two Sword Technique. Ling Chen imagining conquering Gongben Yeliang with Dual Sword Stream seemed implausible.

However, Snow Princess did not realize Ling Chen didn’t aim to humiliate Gongben Yeliang nor had the leisure for such thoughts. Ling Chen’s use of Dual Sword Stream was simply to get closer to Gongben Yeliang’s Two Sword Technique and during the bout refine his own Dual Sword Stream for immediate effectiveness!

”Dual Blade Style, Sky Spirit Flash!”

After gaining complete dominance, Gongben Yeliang’s attacks grew increasingly fierce. Suddenly, he flashed above Ling Chen and struck down with his swords simultaneously. The red and blue blades emitted a brilliant cross in mid-air, fiercely slashing down upon Ling Chen!

Confronted with the fierce red and blue blade light from above, Ling Chen’s gaze suddenly sharpened, and he, too, crossed his two sword scabbards into a cross shape to block!

Bang!

The red and blue cross blade aura clashed with the cross sword aura emitted by Ling Chen’s sword scabbards, instantly exploding in a weave of brilliance. Yet, Ling Chen’s sword scabbard-emitted cross sword aura was nearly overwhelmed, consumed, and Gongben Yeliang’s red and blue cross blade aura swiftly slashed towards Ling Chen!

Unable to evade, Ling Chen’s body was struck by the red and blue cross blade aura, causing him to retreat, his feet dragging two startling trails across the ground.

Watching Ling Chen being forcibly slashed back, Gongben Yeliang’s grin curved slightly, daring to underestimate him—this was the outcome.

”Ling Chen’s arrogance brought his defeat.”

Jue Mingxiang shook her head, not surprised by Ling Chen’s defeat at Gongben Yeliang’s hands. After all, Gongben Yeliang was the most powerful among them, and Ling Chen didn’t regard Gongben Yeliang as a threat, so arrogance and defeat were unsurprising.

”Serves him right.”

Source Yoshihiro and others showed schadenfreude expressions; Ling Chen’s navigation in Sword Prison reaching the fifteenth floor symbolized the Nine Provinces youth generation overwhelming the Yingzhou youth generation, yet losing to Gongben Yeliang here clearly redeemed a slight for the entire Yingzhou youth generation.

However, Ling Chen, who was sent flying, steadied his form, coming to a halt. A thin smoke rose from him, yet he wasn’t severely injured; most of Gongben Yeliang’s force was dissipated, with negligible impact channeled onto Ling Chen.

”So, this is the correct method of the Two Sword Technique.”

Though appearing rather disheveled, Ling Chen felt pleased rather than angry, smiling because he had firsthand experienced Gongben Yeliang’s Two Sword Technique style and aura, suddenly gaining insight into the stagnated Dual Sword Stream, and feeling a slight enlightenment.
