Ling Tian Sword God

Chapter 467: Chapter 466: Prison Cell_1

”Very well. It seems the Xuan Mang Sect has thought things through.”

Han Tong bowed slightly. But his heart was filled with cold laughter. To think these two men intended to restrict him—it was simply wishful thinking.

”Let’s go!”

He gestured to the Blood Refining Sect disciples, and the group entered the Blood Refining Sect’s mountain gate.

”Hmph! Insignificant whelps, daring to defy our sect.”

After Han Tong had walked further away, the Xuan Mang Sect expert also sneered, ”If this weren’t the Blood Refining Sect’s territory, I would have dismembered you long ago.”

His eyes glinted with a cold light, and then the Xuan Mang Sect expert vanished.

「」

Meanwhile, Ling Chen and his group had been led by Han Tong into the dungeon. The dungeon was dark and damp, its moldy smell mingling with the stench of blood.

The other Blood Refining Sect disciples had already escorted the ordinary people away at some point during the journey, leaving only Ling Chen, Yao Yingying, Han Tong, and the two Myriad Beasts Sect disciples.

”You two have worked hard. You can leave the rest to me now,” Han Tong said with a chuckle, looking at the two Myriad Beasts Sect disciples.

”The Xuan Mang Sect expert instructed us to see these two locked into the dungeon. Furthermore, we are to guard them and prevent anyone from approaching,” the two Myriad Beasts Sect disciples replied.

”Is that so?” Han Tong nodded and cupped his fists. ”Well then, I shall take my leave first.”

With that, he walked past the two Myriad Beasts Sect disciples. However, when he was halfway past them, he suddenly spun around. Several Hidden Weapons appeared in his hands, shooting toward the backs of the two disciples.

SQUELCH! SQUELCH!

The Hidden Weapons struck their backs, instantly creating two bloody holes. THUD! THUD! The two Myriad Beasts Sect disciples collapsed, lifeless.

”You two fools. I originally intended to spare your dog lives. But since you were so eager to die, don’t blame me for being ruthless.” A cold glint flashed in Han Tong’s eyes. Ling Chen and Yao Yingying were captives he had worked hard to obtain; naturally, he would be the one to act, to absorb their Essence Blood and enhance his own power.

”For the sake of you two, I’ve even offended the Xuan Mang Sect. You two had better not disappoint me. Help me break through to become a Grandmaster of the Eight-level Realm!” Han Tong gazed at Ling Chen and Yao Yingying with fervent eyes. Absorbing the Essence Blood from these two should allow his Blood Assimilation Technique to reach a higher level. Advancing to the Great Grandmaster Eighth Layer shouldn’t be too difficult.

”Now, who should I start with?” A sadistic smile spread across Han Tong’s face, making him look exceptionally sinister.

”Cough, cough...” Ling Chen suddenly began to cough violently. Clutching his chest, he said, ”I fell seriously ill a few days ago. My blood isn’t healthy right now; I’m afraid it might be contagious.”

”In that case, I’ll start with this woman.” Han Tong’s gaze shifted. His face contorted into a vicious expression as he walked towards Yao Yingying.

”Dustless, you...!” Yao Yingying’s expression changed. She hadn’t expected Ling Chen to be so shameless! She then forced a smile and said, ”I’ve also lost a lot of blood recently. Why not wait a few more days until my vital energy is restored...?”

”I can’t wait that long! Today, I will drain your blood and increase my power!” Han Tong was already impatient. He opened his mouth, revealing his sharp, white teeth, and lunged at Yao Yingying’s tender neck.

Yao Yingying screamed, her face deathly pale, and she squeezed her eyes shut. However, no sharp pain came from her neck. She cautiously opened her eyes and saw Han Tong’s head resting on her shoulder, his own eyes wide and unseeing.

Ling Chen extended his middle finger and prodded Han Tong between the eyebrows. With a THUD, Han Tong’s entire body fell.

”Dead?” Yao Yingying was startled. She saw a Blood Cave in Han Tong’s back—he had clearly been pierced through the heart by a sword.

By then, Ling Chen had already wiped the blood from his Thunder Shadow Sword and sheathed it. After a quick search of Han Tong’s body, he found the dungeon key. He then glanced at Yao Yingying and said, ”Stop screaming. Let’s go.”

Yao Yingying, however, was still in shock. Startled by Ling Chen’s voice, she finally snapped back to her senses and exclaimed in astonishment, ”You killed Han Tong?” Her gaze then fell on the broken chains on the ground, and she added with even more surprise, ”When did you break free? Weren’t you poisoned?”

Her gaze returned to Han Tong’s corpse, and her heart pounded with turmoil. This Dustless... he was definitely no ordinary person! To kill Han Tong, a Great Master of the Seventh Realm, so easily and stealthily... Just who on earth was this guy?

”We can talk about that later,” Ling Chen replied indifferently. He then looked at Yao Yingying. ”Didn’t you say you need to save your sister? Are we going or not?”

”Yes, of course, we save her!” Yao Yingying quickly scanned their surroundings, temporarily suppressing her curiosity about Ling Chen, and began to head deeper into the dungeon.

The deeper part of the dungeon was quite spacious. Several Blood Refining Sect disciples were on guard there, but Ling Chen had already dealt with them silently.

”Save us... Please, save us...” The people imprisoned behind the cell doors were emaciated and deathly pale, clearly suffering from severe malnutrition and on the verge of death.

Ling Chen opened the cell doors one by one, freeing all the prisoners. These people had been imprisoned for a long time. Upon being rescued, they surged towards the dungeon exit like a pack of starving wolves.

”Where is my sister? My sister and over a dozen disciples of the Saint Witch Religion came to the Blood Refining Sect’s territory before I did. They’ve been missing for almost a month! The Blood Refining Sect must have captured them!” Yao Yingying had reached the last prison cell and freed everyone, but she hadn’t seen anyone from the Saint Witch Religion. Her expression turned grim.

”Perhaps they’re being held elsewhere,” Ling Chen said. He walked over to a wall and scanned the area. Finally, his gaze fell upon a stone platform, on which rested a beast’s head carving.

He reached out, pressed down on the beast’s head, and then twisted it abruptly. RUMBLE! A stone door suddenly appeared in the wall before them. It slid upwards, revealing the space within.

So, there was a hidden chamber here!

Ling Chen and Yao Yingying entered. It was a completely sealed prison chamber, holding at least forty to fifty people. They wore a variety of attire, clearly experts from other Demon Path Sects.

However, the largest group consisted of Saint Witch Religion disciples, about a dozen of them. All were pale, clearly having had a significant amount of their Essence Blood drained, leaving their vital energies weak and depleted.

To think that the seemingly insignificant Blood Refining Sect had actually captured so many people.

Ling Chen’s gaze swept across the room, and he immediately spotted a familiar figure carrying a Long Spear on her back. It was Yao Fang, one of the Ten Outstanding Talents of the Demonic Sect, known as the ”Demon Flame Gun.”
