Demon Cultivator in Abyssal Era

Chapter 95: Chapter 93: Blood Demon Minion

Ten minutes later, Chu Xiu arrived in front of the target apartment building.

With a wave of his hand, several Yin Ghosts rushed into the building, scattering to search for any trace of life.

Soon, a roar echoed as a three-meter-tall blood-red monster dropped from the roof, charging towards Chu Xiu!

This was a powerful Level 3 Warrior Tier monster! Even if a Warrior Tier Professional came, they would have to deal with it cautiously!

However, before it could approach Chu Xiu, the Frenzied Celestial Demon Hand punched out!

”Bang!”

Instantly, the bones of the blood-red monster were crushed into fragments, and with another punch, it was hammered into the ground like a lump of mud!

Its internal organs shattered, blood gushed from every wound, and it breathed weakly, a look of human-like terror in its eyes.

Chu Xiu marveled, ”As expected of a Warrior Tier Corpse Demon, it survived two hits from my Frenzied Celestial Demon Hand and still isn’t dead!”

”But you’re quite rude, didn’t even say hello.”

With that, another punch came down, exploding the blood-red monster’s head, leaving it lifeless.

The rewards were not bad; a few more kills and he could level up. Most importantly, these monsters were generous with Cause and Effect Points.

Chu Xiu collected the loot, hurriedly moving to the next location, fearing others might claim the monsters first.

Fortunately, his worries were unfounded. He had marked eight locations in total; while some Warrior Tier monsters were gone, there were no signs of new battles, likely having died during the Blood Moon Ceremony.

The Warrior Tier monsters that remained were easily dispatched by him with a few punches, offering no challenge at all.

During this time, he even encountered a surprise attack from a Warrior Tier monster, making Chu Xiu sigh in relief at his earlier decision to cautiously develop in the apartment building.

If Chu Xiu had encountered a Warrior Tier monster back then, especially caught off guard, he would likely have faced disaster.

He then countered with a punch, killing the ambusher.

Under Chu Xiu’s command, the Ghostly Legion expanded rapidly, sweeping through locations with terrifying power.

Less than three hours into the Abyss, Chu Xiu added nearly ten more Yin Ghosts, upgrading the Evil Soul Banner by one level, now able to hold up to 65 Yin Ghosts!

”Forming a ghostly army is just around the corner.”

Thinking this, Chu Xiu cheerfully headed to the final marked location.

This was an abandoned construction building, marked as the most dangerous in Chu Xiu’s prior investigation.

He hadn’t actually seen any monsters inside, only saw a blood-red tentacle suddenly sweep out from within, dragging in a Warrior Tier monster bird!

The giant creature, with wingspan over ten meters, was caught by the tentacle and wedged into a window just one meter wide, then forcefully had its bones broken by the tentacle’s monster strength and was pulled through the small opening!

”This is definitely an Elite Warrior Tier, and at quite a high level!”

”I hope it brings some surprises.”

Every encounter ending in a few punches made him feel lacking in excitement.

Even though Chu Xiu thought this way, he remained vigilant, sending two Yin Ghosts to scout ahead, cautiously following behind as he slowly explored upwards.

As he climbed the abandoned concrete stairs, after just two floors, a stench hit Chu Xiu’s nostrils.

His brow furrowed, glancing upwards, he saw a massive Heavy Armor Corpse Ghost carcass, its flesh and organs mostly devoured, leaving only the rotten hide draped over the bones.

Continuing upwards, he encountered more Corpse Ghost bodies, including varieties he had never seen before, some piled in corners, others hurled with monster strength against walls, flattened into smears.

The dwellers of this abandoned building were like people carelessly discarding takeout wherever they ate.

”Do Corpse Ghosts have no sense of smell, or do they just prefer this scent?”

Chu Xiu wrinkled his nose in disgust.

Just as he silently remarked, a sharp shriek suddenly pierced his ears! It was the wind pressure sound of air compressed to the extreme!

Before Chu Xiu could react, a blood-red slender tentacle rapidly shot out along the wall, wrapping around Chu Xiu’s body!

In the next moment, the tentacle contracted with great force, and Chu Xiu felt like a hooked fish, his entire body swiftly pulled upwards!

”Hmph!”

A cold gleam flashed in Chu Xiu’s eyes. He grabbed the tentacle with a reverse grip, as two Celestial Demon Hands appeared behind him, connecting directly to his back, like two arms growing from his back, bracing against the walls to firmly anchor Chu Xiu!

Immediately afterward, he swung the Yin Wind Banner, and a powerful Yin Wind Blade, with power reaching 30, severed the tentacle!

At the moment the blood-red tentacle broke, a hair-raising shriek echoed from the building above, followed by the rapid retreat of the tentacle. Then came the sound of hurried footsteps, and before a breath had passed, a shadow suddenly charged out, clawing at Chu Xiu!

”Clang!!!”

The two Celestial Demon Hands extended, protecting Chu Xiu within, as the sharp claws scraped against the Celestial Demon Hand, producing a teeth-on-edge metallic scraping sound.

Through the crossing of the Celestial Demon Hands, Chu Xiu got a clear view of the attacker.

This was a creature almost indistinguishable from an ordinary person in stature, but with a face devoid of features, only an ear-to-ear slit of a mouth filled with layers of jagged teeth. Its skin was vampire-pale, constantly seeping blood-colored sweat, and from its tailbone sprouted five slender red tentacles, one of which had been severed, with fresh blood continually flowing from the wound.

The panel before his eyes made Chu Xiu glance surprisingly at this bizarre creature.

”I didn’t expect this wicked place to have creatures other than Corpse Demons?”

Even the strange birds here are mutated Corpse Demons.

But considering the ”God” ruling this area is a being called the ”Endless Blood Pool,” it didn’t seem so surprising.

Without further thoughts, Chu Xiu focused his attention on the creature in front of him.

Though this Blood Demon Minion was merely a servant of the Blood Demon, the stats on the panel showed its strength was not to be underestimated, bringing a grave expression to Chu Xiu’s face.

Just as he was analyzing the opponent’s information, a sharp screech rang out, and the Blood Demon Minion launched another attack!

Its form moved with agile ease, leaping onto a nearby wall, instantly bypassing the defense of the Celestial Demon Hand. Its strong legs pushed off, cracking the cement wall beneath it like a spider’s web, propelling it towards Chu Xiu like a bullet!

”Such speed!”

Chu Xiu was startled, but he reacted quickly, turning his body into position while the Celestial Demon Hand behind him rapidly Frenzied!

Accompanied by a deafening sonic boom, a fist powered by 216 points of strength thundered forth!

However, just as the Frenzied Celestial Demon Hand was about to hit the Blood Demon Minion, five tentacles from behind it pushed forcefully on the ground, changing its incoming trajectory smoothly, narrowly avoiding the blow!

”Tch.”

Witnessing this scene, Chu Xiu couldn’t help but click his tongue in annoyance.

This Blood Demon Minion was precisely the kind of enemy Chu Xiu least wanted to face!

He had discovered that when the Celestial Demon Hand leveled up, it became more specialized; though the Frenzied Celestial Demon Hand possessed an impressive 216 points of strength, its increased size and mass resulted in a slower punch, making it less effective against agile opponents.

Yet Chu Xiu quickly realigned his mindset.

”Though the Frenzied Celestial Demon Hand is thrilling, I mustn’t rely on it.”

”The three forms of the Celestial Demon Hand were designed to handle different foes!”

Convinced, he decisively deactivated the Frenzied state; the two Celestial Demon Hands no longer attacked, instead protecting Chu Xiu like shields.

Meanwhile, he flicked his finger, launching a slender crimson nail sharply forward!

It was the [Blood Curse Bone-Piercing Nail]!

The Blood Curse Bone-Piercing Nail sped forth astonishingly fast, breaking the sound barrier almost instantly, tearing through the air in a straight path!

The Blood Demon Minion, just having landed, barely had time to steady itself before being struck directly, a thumb-sized bloody hole blooming in its chest! Blood gushed forth!

”Screee!”

Taken aback and furious, the Blood Demon Minion shrieked and swiftly evaded, but a second [Blood Curse Bone-Piercing Nail] sped forth, piercing its thigh!

”Thud!”

The Blood Demon Minion collapsed to the ground; just as Chu Xiu prepared to fire a third Blood Curse Bone-Piercing Nail, its rear tentacles moved swiftly, dragging its injured body behind a load-bearing wall.

Chu Xiu did not rush to pursue but internally praised his prior decision to unlock the [Blood Curse Bone-Piercing Nail]. For enemies rich in defense, the Frenzied Celestial Demon Hand was the go-to, but for nimble foes like the one before him, the swift Blood Curse Bone-Piercing Nail was perfect.

Chu Xiu estimated the nail’s speed to be at least 800m/s, with armor-piercing power rivaling that of a Barrett’s incendiary armor-piercing bullet!

In fact, if he detonated the Blood Curse, this Warrior Tier Level 6 creature would have long been obliterated. But that was his trump card, not to be wasted on such an enemy.

Flipping his wrist, a sharp Bone Spear appeared in Chu Xiu’s hand. He then invoked Mist Step, striding after the Blood Demon Minion.

The subsequent battle was akin to an eagle chasing a chick; Chu Xiu pursued the Blood Demon Minion relentlessly, repeatedly attacking with Bone-Piercing Nails.

During this, the creature even attempted to use its blood manipulation talent, forming blood arrows from the wound’s blood to attack Chu Xiu.

The blood arrows were quite potent, being a life talent of a warrior-tier elite and likely one of the skills undetected by Nether Demon Eyes.

However, the Pain Elder’s Robe showed its worth; as the blood arrows approached Chu Xiu, they lost 40% of their kinetic energy, failing to penetrate the Bone Armor’s defense even upon hitting him.

Thus, the scene turned into a one-sided assault. Though the Blood Demon Minion’s overrecovery trait prolonged the encounter, Chu Xiu ultimately prevailed, shooting a Bone-Piercing Nail through its head when the opportunity arose.
