Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Aside from the foot attachments, the other pieces were too large, and the metal couldn’t utilize that much super dense material, resulting in not much defensive power, but they were still somewhat useful.

Jia Yan tried on the foot gear and moved his wings a bit, feeling quite good. Although it didn’t fit perfectly, it still increased his defensive power by about twenty percent.

Especially the foot equipment, it’s quite strong. If it pierced, it might be possible to assassinate a Middle Level Existence in Star River like the one just encountered.

Perhaps it was just by chance that the battle here yielded such gains, otherwise, how could there be items so compatible with Jia Yan? Jia Yan checked, and even the Black Sheep didn’t have such good things.

For an existence like him, acquiring something that could enhance his power by twenty percent is almost as good as a Divine Artifact. Moreover, Jia Yan thought that when these items mutate next time, they could be devoured as good nutritional supplements.

”Excellent, the remaining will be exchanged for Advanced Energy for my short-term cultivation, it’s more than enough. Originally fighting a Middle Level Existence in Star River, such huge rewards...”

Jia Yan thought, with a glint of light in his eyes.

”Uh, Mister Jia Yan, don’t think about fighting them again. Just because this battle went smoothly, it doesn’t mean the next will be. After all, they didn’t know your strength before, but now they do. Next time you fight, they definitely won’t use the same Middle Level Existence of Star River against you.”

The Star River middle-stage individual who accompanied Jia Yan to exchange items was somewhat speechless upon seeing Jia Yan so uplifted.

Jia Yan seemed too battle-hungry. Before, in the Insect Queen’s Power, he wasn’t so high-profile. Even when he became famous, he wasn’t involved in too many battles. It was assumed he wasn’t such a battle maniac, but now it seems that’s not the case.

”I understand, thank you very much.”

After exchanging a few more words with the other, Jia Yan quickly established a rapport and then both returned to their respective bases.

Jia Yan’s base, which is said to be a residence, actually had no house, or rather, it was just a base. Building a house for a mid-level Galaxy Existence spanning twenty to thirty kilometers would be too costly.

However, Jia Yan didn’t mind. At least this so-called residence was surrounded by something like twisted fog as walls, along with various energy shields, so unless someone used force, it was practically impossible for outsiders to know what he was doing inside.

”Alright, let’s take another look at these items now.”

”In addition, I need to recall that today was my first time taking action against a Galaxy Level in the Central Starfield of the Milky Way; understanding the differences here will be helpful for future battles.”

Jia Yan didn’t assume that defeating a Middle Level Existence in Star River meant understanding the Galaxy Level in the Central Starfield of the Milky Way.

He still didn’t understand the principles behind the opponent’s few moves during the battle. Although he used overwhelmingly superior strength to crush the opponent, if it were another with similar strength next time, the areas he didn’t understand might become the key to his downfall.

So, solving these uncertainties wasn’t a trivial matter for Jia Yan.

Thus, in his designated Twisted Territory, Jia Yan engaged in cultivation and reflection.

Meanwhile, the opponent’s Starry Sky showed no movement at all, likely thrown into chaos by such a newcomer enemy as Jia Yan.

This period of calmness lasted for quite some time.

To the forces of the Insect Queen, this tranquility was beneficial. After all, as Outsiders who occupied this territory, each extra day was an extra day of tax income and benefits, which were extremely important to them.

Moreover, if the battle became not worth pursuing, the Insect Queen’s side would definitely implement a ’scorched earth’ policy, ruthlessly confiscating the occupied lands. However, whether that was worth doing without turning their forces into rats despised in the entire Central Starfield of the Milky Way would rely heavily on the actual circumstances. If it meant becoming such misfits, they dared not act.

Time gradually passed, both camps turned into a scene of tranquility, a rarity on a battlefield where continuous combat was the norm. Especially for the Stellar and Respect-Level Beings on the Insect Queen’s side, it seemed like a holiday, as many usually tense beings couldn’t help but smile.

After all, every day on this battlefield, they had gains, acquiring points and the like.

They thought that if the war would never restart, that would be perfect.

Unfortunately, such a situation couldn’t last indefinitely.

The native forces, being occupied by Outsiders for a long time without being able to repel them, would be a disgrace if told to others.

Hence, they must recover their territory rapidly, even securing a small victory to stabilize their morale would be good.
