Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

”There are several ways to earn energy with the Insect Clan Queen. Firstly, one can engage in battles on all sides, which, bluntly speaking, means seizing resources and territories, a venture with significant risks. As for the second way, it’s sitting tight in the already claimed territories, but the yields from this are very low.”

”Actually, there’s a third way—doing trades, management, and protection tasks, all of which can earn decent returns, but these require a lot of professional skills and abilities.”

”Now that the Insect Clan Queen has just established a foothold in this starry sky, she doesn’t quite dare to expand or claim lands externally. Conquests certainly bear immense risks, but if I don’t engage in these tasks, it seems there are no other significant rewards.”

Jia Yan had made up his mind to undertake those seemingly dangerous conquest tasks.

Because he possessed little of his own, even those tasks he could perform yield too little; for a mid-level Galaxy Existence like him, the return would not even cover the costs. So, at this stage, undertaking those conquest tasks is the only way to obtain reasonable rewards for himself.

As for existences like the Black Sheep, because they already resemble the Insect Clan Queen, they can’t move lightly. A small action could trigger a massive conflict, potentially leading to war, so they dare not act. Only second-tier existences like Jia Yan can step forward to hold the front lines.

However, existences like Jia Yan are already the top-tier among those who can act; above him are existences of the level of the Black Sheep.

”Let me see where the Insect Clan Queen and her forces have progressed recently.”

Jia Yan was checking the Insect Clan Queen’s war fronts and battle outcomes.

In fact, he had already reviewed this intelligence upon returning to the Energy Circle, as one couldn’t settle down to cultivate properly without understanding the situation.

”Concerning recent battles, our side should not truly aim to occupy the territories of two Domain Lords, as the subsequent risks are too great.”

Jia Yan took a look—within this starry sky, the areas truly belonging to the forces of the Insect Clan Queen are limited to this Energy Circle spanning millions of kilometers, and even this Energy Circle in some sense belongs to another; it was merely taken over by force from the Insect Clan Queen.

As for the so-called conquest territories, it’s merely the commerce rights of the territories belonging to the more severely injured of the two Domain Lord Creatures taken over in battle, not their administrative rights.

For the forces of the Insect Clan Queen, arriving at the Central Starfield of the Milky Way aims to seek future opportunities, not to carry out territorial expansions in the peripheral regions. This is not their primary objective, nor the result the Insect Clan Queen desires.

If her ambition were such a small thing, not so many Strong Ones would follow her, not even Jia Yan would.

”From the perspective of the seized commerce rights, this territory is vast, now encompassing two Stellar Systems with commercial operation rights over more than fifty planets. Although there are many Galaxy and Stellar levels present, initially, we only want their commerce rights. Frankly speaking, it’s to make a quick buck. Secondly, we don’t aim for too many casualties, so the resistance isn’t that intense.”

Jia Yan noticed that in these two Stellar Systems, the battles concentrated on just a few areas, with one advancing very slowly, while others progressed rapidly.

”Unlike regular wars outside, in the Central Milky Way, wars truly mean high stakes. In the outer areas, having Galaxy Level participants is more than common, but even vast stretches of the starry sky can occur without the engagement of Galaxy Level due to their overwhelming strength. Stellar level wars, to Galaxy Level existences, are just child’s play, not worth their consideration.”

”But in the Central Star Domain of the Milky Way, it’s different. Even at the starry sky’s edge of this domain, every Stellar System becomes a focus of contention. It is not uncommon for Galaxy Level existences to compete and die here. For instance, between those two Stellar Systems, our Domain Lord engaged in battle with a heavy injury, while two Galaxy Levels died on the opponent’s side, and we lost one Galaxy Level on ours.”

Jia Yan was extremely solemn, observing those two Stellar Systems—over fifty planets. Each one was embroiled in massive battles. Particularly, in the most challenging area, three Galaxy Levels went but still couldn’t push forward.

After considering, he felt that his strength might still offer some advantage over the front-line combatants, so he should head to this most difficult location.

”As for whether the enemy will deploy extremely powerful Galaxy Levels, it’s not impossible. But as long as the enemy hasn’t reached a Domain Master Level Existence, I shouldn’t face too much danger. After all, I’ve observed that the Domain Lord of this starfield, who was severely wounded by the Insect Clan Queen, needs time to heal—at least a year or two before fully capable of action. He probably won’t risk aggravating his injuries to eliminate a newly engaged Galaxy Level like me.”

Thoughtfully, Jia Yan felt he should still be relatively safe. Hence, he tapped the giant screen on the planet.

This screen connects to the external network, and there’s a large dedicated network within the Insect Clan Queen’s Energy Circle where thousands of dedicated members can accept tasks and chat online. However, thousands chatting together prove pointless, as most members slip out to large external networks for conversation. Jia Yan even found Galaxy Level beings indulging in games within the Insect Clan Queen’s Energy Circle. Although it’s unclear if they assume their Galaxy Level identity in the game, likely they don’t.
