Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

The speculation and dread from the outside world were of no concern to Jia Yan.

In subspace, his true body, after addressing the issues with the avatar battle, once again immersed himself in cultivation.

The Yin-Yang Dao he developed required quite a lot of external resources.

Moreover, he needed to experiment with some unique technologies and ideas, further increasing this demand.

In fact, outside this space of Jia Yan’s, there have always been battleships continuously delivering supplies here.

The battleships responsible for transportation never knew the purpose of their mission; they just delivered supplies here and then returned to continue the next transportation. As such, they couldn’t go home nor contact the outside world.

Jia Yan’s real address was something no one could disclose, for enemies were targeting him.

But this period was soon coming to an end.

Jia Yan always felt like his true body was a rat, constantly running around, and such days were unacceptable.

That’s why he was diligently cultivating, waiting for the chance to completely obliterate those forces that made him hide and undermined the hard-earned development of Orion’s Arm.

Although it’s hard to say he would annihilate them all, Jia Yan knew he had a chance to defeat them, or even to the point where in the future, they wouldn’t dare to come to Orion’s Arm, shivering at the mention of his name.

”Soon, I’m not far from appearing publicly completely, and by then, my strength will... make everyone take notice again, won’t it? Ha.”

Jia Yan chuckled.

He could hardly believe his own tenacity.

Always growing in adversity without being defeated by it and constantly turning adversity into an advantage, this is something other strong ones find unimaginable.

Yet Jia Yan achieved it, not only so but also grew through many hardships to reach the Galaxy Level today.

To many young people, Jia Yan’s past would likely be an enviable exemplar of power.

However, within Orion Arm, no faction published books on Jia Yan’s life story.

After all, to Orion Arm, Jia Yan’s past was a bit unusual; he appeared in battle several times under multiple identities as a Giant Mosquito on Earth and other Orion’s Arm powers, raising questions, and he didn’t want Earth people to know he was the same Giant Mosquito, so such books could never be published.

Even if it were a well-known secret, Jia Yan didn’t want to publicly reveal this secret.

At least the incident of the Mosquito Patriarch having an entire race behind him, let’s leave that as a fictitious existence.

Thus, regarding Jia Yan, the Giant Mosquito, it’s through unknown channels that many starfields around have depicted him more completely, with some information even pinpointing him as ’an Earth native’.

Of course, such information and books are strictly forbidden for import and reading within Orion Arm, though many anecdotes or articles might mention it online. These articles are frequently deleted shortly after posting because the regulators aren’t sure of Jia Yan’s attitude; if he’s displeased, it would be trouble, so they treat it as a ban.

In fact, Jia Yan had reached this point, and he didn’t care about whether or not his origins would be known.

Public opinion means nothing to a strong being; the real issue is the strength.

With adequate strength, there’s no need to worry about any problems, akin to if Jia Yan were now a Peak of the galaxy existence revered throughout the Milky Way, what would he fear?

Perhaps at that level, even if all the strong ones from the Milky Way came to besiege him, he wouldn’t fear, let alone public opinion.

Unfortunately, he hasn’t reached that level yet.

”I still lack two points right now.”

Jia Yan continued cultivating his Yin-Yang Dao, trying to enhance his strength while reflecting on his combat power weaknesses.

Firstly, his strength—there’s not much to be done about this because, at this stage, rapidly increasing strength is hard.

Secondly, the endurance of his explosive power.

The Meteorite explosion power of the Yin-Yang Dao, for Jia Yan, was a reliable source of strength, and this latest avatar attempt even managed to drive away a Galaxy Level being, demonstrating its practical use.

But this power has a glaring flaw: its lack of endurance.

There are only so many meteorites, and using all his time to convert them is unrealistic, so if a battle breaks out imminently, he’d certainly run into a situation of no available meteorites.

Another major issue with this meteorite power is that Jia Yan discovered the explosive Yin-Yang Dao power they carried gradually dissipates. In about half a year, the power dwindles to half of its original, and within a year, the matter-antimatter power nearly vanishes completely.

This significantly complicates Jia Yan’s circumstances. Even if he has the time and energy to gradually convert many meteorites, they can only maintain their potency for a short while, and their explosive power after six months is nearly ineffective.

Moreover, to handle battles that could occur at any time, he has to periodically replenish, wasting a lot of cultivation time.

”These few weaknesses are the biggest problems, and they are not easy to solve in the short term.”
