Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2386: Chapter 48: Promotion Success (6)

Beside this cocoon-like giant entity, amid the undulating arcs, there was a technological creation. Although this creation was designed to be highly adapted to subspace, in the Fourth-Degree Subspace, it was still on the verge of being shattered into pieces by the crushing forces due to the lack of human protection.

Inside this entity, voices calling for help began to emerge.

Some were from the Taiya Country’s military, some from communication channels, and some personally from Kama.

But all this went unheard as the Master was in a cocoon state.

No one knew how much time had passed, but this cocoon-like being still showed no signs of life.

It seemed as if he had died.

Yet, just as the fleet of arriving Star River Level beings reached the outskirts of Taiya Country...

Thump!

Thump!

Thump thump thump!!

From within the cocoon, rhythmic sound waves began to pulse, gradually increasing in volume.

In the subspace interior, where there should be no sound, where even causing a slight tremor was difficult, a fearsome sound wave appeared at that instant.

This sound wave caused significant tremors in the twisted subspace interior, shaking it to the point where it could no longer remain twisted.

Keep in mind this is the Fourth-Degree Subspace, and generally, Stellar level beings sustain injuries here. Yet, the mere presence of this sound wave caused the Fourth-Degree Subspace to vibrate.

If an external being were to witness this, they would surely be astounded, for this event was beyond what ordinary subspace talents could explain.

The feeling of strength from the tremor now had a positive and a negative sense, and if this dual force appeared in the distorted subspace exterior, it would trigger explosions. What’s even more extraordinary is that this force sensation seemed not to emanate voluntarily from the being inside the cocoon, but leveraged a trace of natural force without consuming much of its own energy, causing immense external vibrations.

This is undeniably a new discovery. If a being with this power appeared in the universe, their combat endurance would be terrifyingly high, and because the explosive force created by this dual force is akin to complete combustion, its potency would be far scarier than ordinary forces.

Yet, this overwhelmingly terrifying power that could overturn existing systems was still nascent, weaker even compared to typical Stellar level senses.

Of course, this is also because the owner of this energy unconsciously emitted the power. If he used the power himself, to what extent it would reach is unfathomable.

Meanwhile, outside, while Taiya Country’s military and a few titular high-ranking officials attempted to make contact with the arriving massive fleet and Star River Level leaders...

Thump thump thump!

The sound waves expanded once again.

In the subspace interior, the enormous cocoon seemed to herald an awakening.

”Hmm...”

”Have I not fully mutated yet? I’ve already awakened in the cocoon state...”

Jia Yan awoke within the subspace, maintaining his cocoon state.

He was quite astonished as similar conditions had been rare throughout his mutation experiences.

Yet, rare did not mean it hadn’t happened before; during the Era of Earth Conquest, he had encountered similar situations and even managed to slay numerous Metal Monsters while in cocoon form.

The situation was similar now, as Jia Yan, upon awakening, immediately checked his body.

”Still in the mutation process, but my brain has fully gained activities, and the internal body organization is in the process of reconstruction. But now, other than brainwave power, I have no weapons for attack...”

Jia Yan observed his own body while reflecting.

His cocooned body wouldn’t be surprising if it turned out several times larger than before.

The cocoon exterior, also far from small, was a hefty thirty kilometers long, tightly encapsulating his body’s shell—a solidity evident from its mere appearance.

”This is probably... the Fourth-Degree Subspace?”

Jia Yan perceived the situation outside. Though he couldn’t see, his brainwave power functioned equivalently to eyesight. After all, at such a powerful strong platinum level, eyes no longer held significant importance for him.

Jia Yan merely felt that through the period of evolutionary mutation, his brainwave power had undergone immense enhancement.

”Just how strong exactly, I don’t know, as my body isn’t fully developed, and my overall strength hasn’t reached its peak state yet.”

Jia Yan silently assessed his strength.

Before he had time to observe more, he suddenly noticed the communicator hovering beside his ’cocoon’ was blinking with numerous urgent messages.

”Hmm? Isn’t this communicator only for use in very urgent situations? Why are there so many messages?”

Jia Yan was taken aback, then quickly used his brainwave power to activate the communicator.

”Lord Jia Yan, an assassin is leading several Star River Level existences to attack our Taiya Country. We’ve already dispatched representatives to try and buy time, but they have no intention of negotiating or mediating. Now the situation is on the brink of war.”

”Lord, urgent help needed.”

Upon hearing the recent messages, Jia Yan’s expression changed slightly.

As the figure who elevated Taiya Country to its current status, Jia Yan earnestly hoped Taiya Country wouldn’t meet its end as a fading civilization.

”Several Star River Levels? And led by that assassin, there’s absolutely no possibility of compromise.”

Jia Yan had long anticipated that his strength would certainly attract considerable attention from the Star River Level beings. However, he initially thought his rapid promotion would catch them off-guard, yet he never expected that assassin to so swiftly gather a Star River Level team and attack Taiya Country already.

Of course, he knew their target was neither the small Taiya Country nor the fact he was recuperating and making breakthroughs there, but himself.

”Are they aware of my promotion, or do they think I’m preparing for one?”

Jia Yan contemplated how they would time their strike with his awakening post-promotion.

However, after consideration, he surmised that their timing was mere coincidence, not deliberate.

”But this coincidence is too fitting. If I were still in a mindless mutation state, I wouldn’t be this troubled even if Taiya Country were destroyed. But now that I’ve awakened, and my body hasn’t reached its pinnacle, I don’t even know whether my promotion has succeeded. How should I even go out and fight in this condition?”

Jia Yan was troubled.

The arrivals were of several Star River Level existences. Even if he had fully mutated to Galactic-level strength, he wasn’t sure if he could drive away multiple Star River Level existences.

And in this state where even he was uncertain of his own strength, but surely far weaker than his standard form, should he dare venture out?

”What to do...”

Jia Yan pondered deeply.

But just as he was thinking, the communicator sent another message.

”Another communication?”

Jia Yan was helpless, sure of being urged, but he had no choice but to answer.

But this time, besides urging him, there was another message that made Jia Yan’s expression change drastically, making him feel a tingling sensation on his scalp.

”Little Ruo Ruo went to play on the battlefield’s outskirts? That naughty child is too mischievous.”

This message resolved Jia Yan’s hesitation, prompting him to go to battle.

”Sigh, first I’ll check if I possess control capability in my current state. If it’s like before in the cocoon state, and I can exert some control, my priority is to retrieve Little Ruo Ruo.”
