Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2368: Chapter 39: Promotion Opportunity!

”Cultivating within the subspace, despite the surrounding fluctuations of subspace, is not a bad thing for me; rather, it’s a good thing.”

Jia Yan looked around at his environment. For Jia Yan, he had long been accustomed to the feeling of cultivating within the subspace. After all, as one with subspace talent, he gradually became familiar with the deep subspace, and in this situation, being in the shallower parts of the subspace felt no different from being out in the external world. It was as if he were a fish in water, and even the faint subspace fluctuations within the shallower areas allowed him to gain unique insights and experiences regarding the subspace and certain powers within his body.

”Now let’s see what method I should use to break through to Galactic-level strength...”

Jia Yan was always thinking about what way his strength should reach the Galaxy Level.

Even though his last battle with the assassin didn’t have much gain, there were still some harvests. Otherwise, it would have been a wasted effort of gaining experience in the battle against a Galaxy-level opponent.

Some experiences Jia Yan gained last time, is that the existence of the Galaxy level seems to have a way of operating Brainwave Power that differs slightly from beings below the Stellar level.

This is very normal, even the Stellar level itself differs from the Semi-permanent Star Level or weaker dignitaries and others.

Once a certain level of strength is reached, one uses the comprehension and energy utilization method at that level, which is extremely common for strong ones.

Yet Jia Yan felt a different nuance within this.

”The assassin always hid his killing move, even towards the end when he knew he couldn’t defeat me. He used some misleading tactics so that I wouldn’t grasp more of the Galaxy-level strength. Indeed, these mixed tactics made me somewhat confused and uncertain about earlier feelings of battle. But he did still leave some gaps within these confusions...”

Jia Yan pondered deeply.

The assassin’s approach posed a significant challenge to Jia Yan. Although from the assassin’s perspective, the consideration at that time was quite normal; when he couldn’t defeat Jia Yan, it was possible that they were in a draw state. If Jia Yan’s perception of the Galaxy level continued to elevate from there, it would benefit the enemy, and for the assassin, it would be akin to digging his own grave; naturally, he wouldn’t do that.

Yet Jia Yan now finding ways to counter his actions seems somewhat difficult.

”Fortunately, at least on certain major aspects, he has already directed me toward the path to Galaxy-level strength.”

Jia Yan kept thinking. Even though the assassin had pointed out large directions, Jia Yan still found himself troubled by the misguided directions and irregular power fluctuations and felt the assassin likely had set certain traps towards the end. Otherwise, why would Jia Yan keep pondering on a dead-end?

”No, this path won’t work either. If following his power release method at that time and continuing, it would surely neutralize the Brainwave Power and cause self-injury.”

”But isn’t it right? What if neutralization was successful below? Perhaps that’s the correct path? Want to give it a try? No... wrong, trying might lead to injury, which aligns with his intentions.”

Jia Yan was entangled in such dead ends repeatedly, even suffering minor injuries from attempting impossible paths.

”It’s not working. The assassin’s final approach was too effective. Could it be that I must look for another Galaxy-level battle? But the risk is enormous. The success last time was circumstantial. Next time, perhaps the Galaxy Level is at full strength, or maybe the opponent’s power is just right to counter me; then I’m doomed.”

Jia Yan knew that attempting a battle with Galaxy Level required immense courage and understanding of the opponent’s power. Although he verbally claims not to have much intelligence on the assassin’s strength, he actually had considerable understanding of his power before the battle started; otherwise, it wouldn’t have been possible to defeat him.

So doing it again poses too many risks. Jia Yan isn’t willing to take such chances.

Besides, even if there’s another opportunity to battle to a draw, if the opponent mimics the assassin’s deceptive tactics, wouldn’t Jia Yan be wasting half a day?

”What then? Every day my strength stays at the peak of Stellar, the danger increases. Now I’ve provoked two Galaxy levels—one being the assassin, and the other being the nominal leader of the Northern Star Domain, also the Master of Serka. Although he might not care for the minor Northern Star Domain, being thus humiliated by a mere peak of Stellar level, even I wouldn’t tolerate it. How could he not be enraged?”

Jia Yan knows his own risks, and he’s well aware these two surely are plotting ways to deal with him. Keen observers have long realized that Jia Yan, the Evolutionary Creature, has formidable potential that, once ascending to Galaxy Level, would be a formidable existence challenging the true pinnacle beings within the Starfield—those Lords of the Domain.

If Jia Yan reached greater strength, for the assassin and the leader organism, it would be an intolerable pain, so they will surely act while Jia Yan’s strength hasn’t yet improved.

This is Jia Yan’s greatest concern and the reason for his urgency in wanting to ascend.

”What should I do then? Or perhaps without other guidance, relying only on my current understanding of certain Galaxy-level directions, can I find the correct path... hmm?!”

Suddenly, in his pondering, Jia Yan trembled fiercely.

He thought of a possibility or perhaps he suddenly had an epiphany.

”No, I’m stuck in a vicious cycle, wanting to follow others’ paths. Yet I’ve forgotten I’m not traversing the path of ordinary strong ones; I even have created a new ’Yin Yang Path’. Why am I still thinking of walking others’ old paths in this situation? Am I really so fearful?”

After a pause, Jia Yan felt self-disdain for always belittling his own creation of the Yin Yang Path, even barely having the thought of ascending to the Galaxy Level through this new path, feeling extremely self-reproachful.

In fact, on Earth and in the Orion Arm, and even in the Country of Taia within the Northern Star Domain, Jia Yan’s Yin Yang Path has long begun teaching, with many talented youngsters considering Jia Yan’s Yin Yang Path as a sacred scripture with no doubts toward it.

Yet perhaps they would never have thought that the very creator of the Yin Yang Path preparing for Galaxy-level ascension—Jia Yan himself—would actually look down on the Yin Yang Path to such an extent. Even during his ascension, not a single thought of relying on the Yin Yang Path to pave a new path arose.

”Ha, how could I dismiss such a good path of Yin Yang Dao, especially when the whole principle is well-rooted in my mind, yet I keep wanting to rely on others’ power and paths? Truth be told, I probably trust my own Yin Yang Path less than others do!”

With a bitter smile, Jia Yan then abruptly adjusted his mindset.

”Right, I can’t be like this. Since I’ve created the Yin Yang Path, I must lead by example, forge a true road from Yin Yang Path even to Galaxy Level—the supposedly strongest level in the Universe—so that it completes the path fully and paves the way for future followers. Only then will the Yin Yang Path be a truly legitimate new path...”

Jia Yan finally made up his mind.

”Let’s begin with the Yin Yang Path’s mindset to break through, especially with the insights gained from the battle against the assassin as the foundation. My chance of ascending and the Yin Yang Path’s guidance will surely be beneficial!”
