Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2136: Chapter 5: How Is This Possible...?

”No matter how advanced the system is, or any unorthodox methods, it’s still a newly established one. Besides, I just don’t believe that this system can allow a Stellar level with average Talent to withstand my attack.”

Wu Da’s face was grim, and he increased his attack force slightly.

Puff.

The force of their clash suddenly exploded in the universe.

Then both sides’ combat moves created astonishing fluctuations in space, destroying all particles around them.

Under such explosive power, Jia Yan Squad’s subordinates were intensely nervous as they watched the scorpion creatures, who appeared a bit battered at a glance.

Fortunately, they survived.

After a ground-shaking clash, he stumbled backward and flew hundreds of kilometers before barely stopping himself.

If his attack had not been equally powerful and astonishing, he would have been undoubtedly dead by now.

”Huh? Still alive, huh?”

Wu Da also retreated several steps, but compared to that creature, his retreat was insignificant.

His shock came from the fact that the scorpion creature didn’t die from his attack.

Ignoring the Talent gap, just the Level difference between them was immense. Typically, a Stellar Mid-Tier Peak Existence could annihilate a newly achieved Stellar Middle Level creature in a few moves, yet he couldn’t eliminate this newly reached Stellar Middle Level member of Jia Yan’s squad in one hit. This revelation greatly altered his perception of Jia Yan’s squad.

”A nobody is already this formidable; the others might be even more powerful if I step up...”

”No wonder Jia Yan wants them to fight me while he hides behind, avoiding possible risks. Such despicable tactics.”

”Never mind, since my goal of rescuing this youngster is achieved, I’ll retreat. The deaths of these others are unavoidable.”

Wu Da immediately prepared for escape.

He exchanged a glance with the descendant of the important figure he rescued, hastily fleeing toward the rear space.

”Trying to escape?”

Several members of Jia Yan’s squad were especially concerned with Wu Da, the enemy who had been pursuing them from the outside. They could allow others to escape, but Wu Da must not. So they pursued relentlessly, determined to intercept him.

”I’m escaping because I don’t want pointless battles. If you seek death, I’ll accompany you later.”

Wu Da did not stop and mindlessly fight with Jia Yan’s subordinates due to pride.

He understood well that, regardless of winning or losing against them, he would eventually face Jia Yan. Winning would still be extremely risky, potentially leading to his annihilation by Jia Yan.

Hence, escaping was the best course of action.

”Now it’s my turn to play a chase game with them. Unfortunately, the roles are reversed; we’re the ones fleeing, and they’re the pursuers. Evolutionary Creature, is it such a terrifying existence? He hasn’t even lifted a finger, and already I’m left with nowhere to run...”

Wu Da seemed to grasp something, noticing that those members of Jia Yan’s squad appeared respectful to Jia Yan, with their sense of Strength also emanating from him. Thus, he realized that this Cultivation method might indeed be Jia Yan’s own creation. If he could create such combat abilities, what would his current power be?

”Could it be... he no longer cares about battles of our Level? No, no, I can’t think like that; he must also be a creature around Stellar Middle Level Middle period. If he reached a strength stronger than Stellar Middle Level Middle period, how could I possibly handle it?”

Wu Da was absolutely unwilling to believe that, compared to their last encounter where Jia Yan was nearly hunted down, he now couldn’t be matched. So he fantasized that Jia Yan’s strength was close to his subordinates, which was why he didn’t participate directly but let his subordinates fight him instead.

”Flee. As long as we’re alive, it’s not a defeat.”

Wu Da turned back, speaking to the rescued, equally battered Senior’s descendant.

”Yes, Lord.”

This descendant showed no aura of being a Strong One’s offspring, responding continuously, which was why Wu Da favored him.

However, the escape route in front had already been intercepted by a member of Jia Yan’s squad.

”Hmph, trying to block us alone? Don’t know what death means.”

Wu Da felt a flicker of rage at the Jia Yan Squad member daring to block them. Normally, a Stellar Middle Level was beneath his notice, even if their power seemed slightly stronger than typical newly promoted Stellar Middle Level creatures.

”Wu Da, you enjoyed chasing us before, right? Now it’s our turn.”

The interceptor was Jia Yan’s subordinate with the strongest defensive power. Previously, his research direction was different from other creatures who focused on increasing offensive power; instead, he utilized Jia Yan’s Yin-Yang Dao to enhance his Defense.

Thus, he became Jia Yan’s subordinate with the most astonishing Defense.

As Wu Da approached, he had already set up his Defense. His goal wasn’t to annihilate Wu Da; he knew his power couldn’t achieve that. But he was confident in stalling Wu Da for a while, given his strength lay in Defense.

Boom.

Their offense and defense collided instantly.

The sudden impact made the defensive expert from Jia Yan’s squad feel a heart-pounding shock.

”As expected of Wu Da, his power surpasses ours. Unfortunately, he misjudged my strength; I can take this hit!”

This defensive subordinate showed no retreat against Wu Da’s attack.

However, his body bore some damage. If he didn’t know that his allies were soon to arrive, he wouldn’t risk injury to continue blocking Wu Da.

”What? Still blocking? How can this be a newly advanced Stellar Middle Level? It’s at least a Stellar Middle Level Middle period!”

Wu Da almost popped his eyes out from the shock.

He never imagined that Jia Yan’s subordinates, who typically appeared weak and remarkably ordinary in Talent, would reach such terrifying strength upon advancing to Stellar Middle Level.

This made him feel that such power wasn’t due to their inherent Talent.

Thus, the reason could only be Jia Yan!

Jia Yan’s strength and Talent, which he admitted being the most exceptional he had seen, reportedly soared upon reaching Stellar Class Late Level. This was why the Stellar Academy supported his relentless quest to hunt Jia Yan, even after losing so many Genius Stellar levels.

In fact, the more Stellar levels Jia Yan killed, the more fearful they were, intensifying their resolve to annihilate him.

Unfortunately, they misjudged Jia Yan’s rapid progress, as the Stellar Academy’s attitude towards Evolutionary Creatures and their terrifying potential wasn’t sufficiently serious. If this Starfield’s Strong Ones had known of Jia Yan, investigated, and realized his power and horrific grade as an enemy, they might have been prepared.

Of course, it’s all hypothetical now, and Wu Da had no chance of reporting his findings and insights back to the Stellar Academy.

In fact, his death wouldn’t be caused by Jia Yan, as he hadn’t even lifted a hand.

”Wu Da, nowhere to run now? Die.”
