Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2128: Chapter 1: Old Friend?

”Hmm?”

As several stellar-level beings thought it best to stay calm, that late-stage stellar creature suddenly froze.

Because he saw, with full expectation that the fleet of shadows would quickly pass through his territory, but contrary to his wishes, the gigantic fleet was actually slowly coming to a stop.

No, it shouldn’t be described as slow, as it flew out from an extremely fast subspace, dropping its speed below the speed of light, which was an astonishingly quick deceleration.

”What? They are actually stopping, this...”

All the stellar-level beings were stunned.

”What should we do? It’s impossible, isn’t it? This huge super fleet, reportedly traveled at least hundreds of light-years without stopping, is actually stopping in such a remote corner?”

”And it’s the remotest of remote, this so-called Northern Star Domain, in the area we govern, is just a small corner, and it’s stopping here, what should we do?”

The several stellar-level subordinates felt extremely worried about the stopping massive fleet.

”No need to think too much, if the visitors have any malicious intent, we will act according to the circumstances.” The leader of the late-stage stellar creatures, who had been in a high position for a long time, said calmly, causing all the subordinates to feel relieved.

After all, the extremely fast fleet had put too much pressure on them.

”Huh? Although the vessels of this fleet have a style different from our battleships, however you look at it, judging by their propulsion and hull data, it’s impossible for them to have such flight speed.”

The group of stellar-level beings, seeing the approaching fleet clearly, couldn’t hide their strange expressions.

Because earlier, what were clearly very fast battleships and spaceships were seen up close, only to find their exteriors were shockingly inadequate.

Generally speaking, warships and spacecraft, like ancient race cars on Earth, have different appearances and sounds if they are more powerful. The same is true for battleships, even if you can’t hear them, you can still judge their grade by their appearance.

This arriving fleet appeared so ordinary, even with some of them being quite plain commercial ships without any combat ability. Even if they initiated a group flight mode, pushing their engines to the brink of explosion, they couldn’t possibly exceed the speed of light by so much.

While a group of stellar-level beings were suspicious, a voice unexpectedly sounded beside them.

”Gentlemen, what do you mean by gathering on the side of the fleet I lead?”

This voice felt like it was whispered into their ears, indicating that the one speaking had already come extremely close to them.

”Who?”

”How can so many people approach us without us noticing?”

In that instant, all the stellar-level beings, including the late-stage stellar one, felt a chilling sensation, and in a moment of shock, one of the stellar beings lashed out towards the source of the voice.

But their attack hit nothing, not reaching the visitor, or rather, the visitor had yet to reveal themselves.

”Don’t attack, could it be that you are the leader of that fleet?”

Suddenly, the late-stage stellar creature stopped the subordinates about to take further action, then looked towards a certain space location.

The place he looked was exactly where the speaking creature was hiding in subspace just now.

Seeing that they had exposed their presence, the creature wasn’t surprised, merely smiling slightly, and gradually their form emerged from the cosmic north vista.

”What is this?”

It was the first time for these stellar-level beings to witness such a form of emergence by a creature, feeling a chill run directly to their brain.

”Space Talent? It reached such a level? How come I’ve never heard of it? No, recently there has been talk of some strong subspace organisms... could it be him.”

The late-stage stellar creature suddenly recalled something.

The other stellar-level beings weren’t foolish either; once he thought of it, they too suddenly realized this.

”Could it be, Mister Jia Yan?”

Feeling that the huge creature before their eyes was the same stellar late-stage power as himself, this late-stage stellar creature thought that if the person before him was whom he was thinking of, then he dared not truly consider them to be an ordinary creature like himself.

”Oh? You know me?”

The large black creature seemed a bit surprised.

This creature’s form was that of an enormous mosquito, with a long proboscis, and his power was firmly situated at the stellar late-stage level.

Yes, this was Jia Yan.

He seemed much stronger than when he had left the Divine Spirit Major Domain.

After all, this had been a long journey over a year in the making.

If he hadn’t constantly needed to think about the semi-subspace flight mode of the fleet outside, he might have improved even faster during this time.

Even Jia Yan himself vaguely felt the notion of stopping after reaching the stellar level for evolutionary creatures seemed irrelevant. Others find it harder the higher they go, but he found it smoother, with his daily improvement amounting to the power of an Honorable level being, and this was an Honorable level.

”It really is Lord Jia Yan.”

The late-stage stellar creature’s attitude changed instantly upon hearing Jia Yan’s admission, even addressing him as Lord Jia Yan.

Because he understood the significance of an evolutionary creature reaching the late-stage stellar level.

Countless individuals had been trembling with fear due to the emergence of this existence lately.

”My lord, are you returning this time to seek Her Majesty the Queen of Taiya Country in the Northern Star Domain?”

This stellar being seemed to have researched Jia Yan’s past, questioning whether he was there to see Taiya Country.

He feared hearing Jia Yan say otherwise.

If not, it might indicate a potential conflict, and he couldn’t guarantee that the present stellar-level beings could withstand Jia Yan. Considering Jia Yan’s illustrious past and the rumors about his prowess, he thought it likely.

There was even the possibility of their defeat...

”Yes, I’m here to visit old friends, but why are you all here? Are you here to welcome us?”

Jia Yan appeared perplexed, as none of the starfields they crossed had given them such a grand reception.

”No, my lord, though we are indeed somewhat curious about your fleet, we are mainly here to monitor some guests... no, outsiders from the Stellar Academy, Lord Jia Yan, they seem to be here to find you in Taiya Country...”

”Hmm? From the Stellar Academy? Coming for me... could they be my ’old friends’? Have they caused any damage in Taiya Country?”

Jia Yan paused, quickly asking.

The beings from the Stellar Academy seeking him in a place like Taiya Country seemed to him like the pursuing party, and none other.

Moreover, investigating Taiya Country? That wouldn’t do, as Jia Yan still needed Taiya Country’s help in repairing the Adisa.

”No, Lord Jia Yan, these beings from the Stellar Academy might be wary of your reputation and dare not disrupt Taiya Country.”
