Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1820: Chapter 18: Five Days Later, I’ll Take Action Myself

Over a hundred stellar-level creatures appeared like demons and devils roaming everywhere, appearing on countless battlefields...

Thus, the ordinary divine armies faced a situation of extreme despair.

Although they were fighting the ordinary armies of the Stellar Alliance valiantly and occasionally even suppressing the opponent, something terrifying soon happened.

In the war between their ordinary armies, a stellar-level strongman appeared in the battle. With just one move, half the ordinary army was injured or killed. After two moves, except for a few extremely powerful demigods barely clinging to life, the entire army was annihilated.

Yet, with the appearance of the stellar-level strongman, none of their divine lords appeared?

This left the soldiers who believed in the divine spirits in anguish. To resist such a situation was futile—stellar-level beings had appeared, and who could stop them? Could ordinary soldiers stop them?

On the other hand, if they didn’t resist, and the divine spirits dealt with them later, they would still face death. Moreover, they believed in the divine spirit, and if the divine spirit wanted them to die, they were already prepared for that.

But being prepared doesn’t mean fighting a stellar-level powerhouse! Isn’t that equivalent to fighting other divine spirits?

Many soldiers couldn’t even distinguish between divine spirits and stellar-level strongmen. They only knew this was a widely impacted god war, and many ordinary soldiers didn’t even understand that this planet was a sphere. They just believed the evil god was attacking their divine spirit’s territory, and they had to fight back to the death, otherwise, their family and friends would all die.

”Why is this happening, my god, why have you abandoned us?”

As demigods, some beings did not simply trust ordinary divine spirits.

Even if they nominally believed in a particular divine spirit, most had already caught the divine spirit’s eye and become close to them, aware of the true nature of these so-called divine spirits.

Just like stellar-level strongmen, divine spirits were merely a group of powerful creatures in the universe.

So when they saw the Stellar Alliance rampaging through their armies, all the demigod-level powerhouses panicked, not understanding why their master had abandoned them.

Even as they worried and doubted the purpose of this war, the stellar-level creatures still regarded them, just below the stellar-level combat power, as priority targets for eradication.

Despite the vast gulf in strength—a difference like that between semi-stellar-level powerhouses and stellar-level strongmen—stellar-level creatures had no better targets, so the war turned into a spectacle where stellar-level strongmen competed to annihilate demigod beings.

Soon, the divine army was disappearing at an unbelievable speed.

Without divine support to resist stellar-level strongmen, ordinary armies, no matter how numerous, even if there were many semi-stellar-level powerhouses, could not resist a single stellar-level being, let alone over a hundred stellar-level strongmen present on the entire planet battlefield.

In merely five days, the entire battle situation changed instantly. The stellar-level strongman’s army swiftly devoured endless lands, and even the ordinary armies couldn’t keep up with their marches, resorting to using some stellar-level strongmen’s transport battleships to quickly reach another distant battlefield.

If not for the slow pace of transportation, the advance might have been even faster.

”Couldn’t even hold on for half a month; that ordinary army, though numbering in the billions, was so ineffective...”

On this planet, from the divine spirit’s final palace, already visible from afar, recognized as the strongest divine spirit’s main palace on the planet, gathered numerous divine spirits.

They watched the army attacking from afar, with each stellar-level strongman exterminating ordinary armies, and some even sneered at the thought of them joining the fight, showing no fear of their interference.

However, the divine spirits did not enter the battle, allowing the stellar-level strongmen attacking at their doorstep to act even more recklessly.

Only a very few ordinary biological armies managed to flee frantically to this main palace.

”Gods, it’s not us who failed in the fight; it’s those false gods who are too despicable. They even intervened in our ordinary creatures’ battles—that’s simply the act of an evil god.”

A demigod-level powerhouse, wounded, trembled as he complained to a group of divine spirits.

”Indeed, it’s not your fault. Step back.”

A divine spirit spoke indifferently, and even though the demigod powerhouse was gravely injured and wanted to question why the divine spirits did not intervene, he held back his words, unable to speak.

The fear of the divine spirit prevented him from asking such harsh questions, especially seeing the palace filled with countless massive divine spirits, each radiating terrifying power that struck him with awe, making him even more fearful to speak.

It was the first time he realized there were so many divine spirits on this planet, seemingly far more than the stellar-level strongmen.

”This must be the divine spirits testing us mere mortals. If we strive, we might be reborn within the realm of gods in the future.”

Such was the belief among the ordinary soldiers.

However, those immensely powerful Divine Spirits they were talking about, in this moment, are nothing like the calm and composed beings that ordinary soldiers speak of.

”It’s only been five days, counting the previous days we held on, we still have eight days until the Senior arrives. What should we do? They’ve already reached the palace, without deep defenses, are we really going to just hide?”

”It’s not going to work, even hiding won’t help. Who knows when they might launch a full attack?”

”It’s not entirely impossible. We have so many here, do they really dare to attack us? Even that Jia Yan doesn’t have the courage. If he does, we can make him taste the combined power of a hundred and fifty Divine Spirits in unison.”

”Exactly, our Divine Spirits’ power can be accumulated. Unlike those Stellar Level Strong Ones, if we join forces, we might even be able to wipe out a Middle-order Powerhouse. If Jia Yan dares to show up, he will be asking for trouble.”

One by one, the Divine Spirits inside the main palace started to carefully discuss the current battle situation.

At this point, for them, it was nearly the end of the road.

Initially, they thought the ordinary soldier armies would surely be able to hold out longer, but with Stellar Level Strong Ones joining the fight, all their hopes vanished, as this was practically akin to cheating.

Especially when a group of over a hundred Stellar Level Strong Ones, comparable in numbers to their own depleted ranks, teamed up, the kind of power and terrifying combat energy were beyond what ordinary soldier armies could withstand.

”Forget it, let’s stick to the defense strategy. Presumably, they wouldn’t dare to attack in one go. The Stellar Level creatures are far from as united as we Divine Spirits are.”

”Exactly, they might dare to fight our subordinates’ armies, but who dares to storm our headquarters with a group of Divine Spirits inside? Even if we can’t win, we can take a few down with us in death. No one knows who might perish, would they still dare to come? They certainly don’t have the ’all for one’ mindset.”

The Divine Spirit Creatures were right.

When a group of Stellar Level creatures attacked the last domain on the planet, which was the lair of the most terrifying Divine Spirit Powerhouse on the entire Divine Spirit Star, they found out that this domain always kept out of their detection range, and it actually gathered so many Divine Spirit Creatures.

”Lord, those creatures from the Divinity Alliance have all gathered in a single domain. What should we do now?”

A large number of Stellar Level Strong Ones, after wiping out the last non-escaped Divine ordinary army, gathered at a palace in the enemy-occupied territory.

Inside this palace, a powerful creature lay quietly.

Its entire body was dark, its slender mouthparts somewhat unsettling, and it was none other than Jia Yan.

”They have all gathered together?”

Jia Yan spoke calmly.

”Indeed, they’ve all gathered inside the palace of that once strongest Divine Spirit. If we force an attack, the losses could be significant, knowing if they don’t come out, even if we can get inside, it would still be costly.”

An unfamiliar Stellar Level Strong One, emitting terrifying waves but speaking with utmost respect to Jia Yan.

This Stellar Level creature was the top leader of the Stellar Level Alliance on this planet. Though not the strongest among Stellar Level Strong Ones, his decent planning and foresight got him voted as the temporary leader of the Stellar Level Strong Ones.

Of course, he dared not show any airs in front of Jia Yan.

Knowing this creature could independently defeat a group of Divine Spirits, the Stellar Level side understood that even against their conglomerate of Stellar Level Strong Ones, Jia Yan’s strength could likely single-handedly overwhelm a group, thus he dared not provoke.

”I understand. In seven, no, five days, five days later, I will personally take action. Understood?”

Jia Yan spoke calmly.

Though he didn’t know when the Strong Ones from Stellar Academy might arrive, he sensed immense pressure and decided to act himself.

However, acting personally now was not guaranteeing safety, so he needed time for cultivation.

”Understood, Lord. I’ll go make arrangements now. I very much hope to witness your power firsthand someday.” The Stellar Level Strong One quickly nodded respectfully, then retreated.

After his departure, Jia Yan slightly shook his head with a heavy heart.

”Originally at least seven days were needed, but with time being tight, I’ll have to compress it into five days. I hope within five days, the Strong Ones from Stellar Academy don’t attack.”

Jia Yan’s guess wasn’t wrong. A faint stream of light had already flown from outside the Universe into the Galaxy where this massive planet resided.
