Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1790: Chapter 38: Yellow Sand God

Just as Jia Yan anticipated, within the Yellow Sand God master’s city, a creature that appeared to be completely made of sand hesitated.

”There seem to be some fluctuations outside, likely indicating the arrival of Jia Yan’s stellar-level strong ones. What should I do now?”

He was extremely upset. As the principal frontline of the cosmic war with the seven stellar powers, his territory has borne the brunt of over half the attacks by armies. Not only the thirty thousand troops attacking from outside, but within his entire territory, no less than two million allied army forces are engaged in combat.

He sought assistance from the God system behind him, but the reinforcements from the God system were thwarted by small stellar-level raids.

Without divine intervention, his territory was on the verge of falling.

His frustrations were evident; everyone knew this was a deliberate ploy by the enemy, tempting divine spirits to intervene, thereby revealing the divine system’s strategic moves and reactions.

But knowing was futile—how to break this impasse was the real question.

”I’ve lost the ordinary creatures in my territory; thus, the source of power of faith is gone. Even if there’s a chance to reclaim the territory in the future, countless ordinary creatures could perish. After all, stellar-level strong ones aren’t concerned about the fate of ordinary creatures, and eventually, the loss will be mine.”

His current worry and distress stemmed from this point. Temporarily losing territory, even his palace, isn’t too significant for a Divine Spirit Powerhouse.

The crucial aspect is the faithful ordinary citizens. Each divine spirit strives to maintain their domain and win genuine faith from their citizens, thereby obtaining the power of faith. Otherwise, the power of faith would be impure.

This relates to the realm of spiritual matters. Jia Yan has yet to immerse deeply in these matters, whereas it’s paramount for divine spirits.

Therefore, the Yellow Sand God hesitated to abandon his precious citizens.

”Should I fight or not? Fighting might deter them with the threat of sudden God system reinforcements retreating them?”

The Yellow Sand God was in constant contemplation.

While Jia Yan and others in the sky quietly observed the situation unfolding below.

”The Yellow Sand God hasn’t shown up yet; he is likely still struggling,” a stellar-level creature remarked coldly.

”This highlights the downside of divine spirits: once they’re grounded in a place, it becomes difficult for them to relocate, as opposed to our stellar-level freedom.”

The stellar-level creatures disparaged the God-Tier Powerhouses as much as possible.

The Flower God Luo Longsi felt embarrassed, having rebelled against the divine system—speaking up for them felt inappropriate, yet staying silent felt uneasy.

Regardless, she remained a divine spirit with divine crystals; she still belonged strictly within the God’s domain, so not speaking for the divine system was deeply disquieting for her.

Thankfully, she didn’t speak up, instead, Jia Yan unusually voiced fairness in favor of the God system.

”Saying that isn’t right; the God system has stood its ground in the universe for so long for good reason. Although their weak points are numerous, and their strength lags slightly behind our universe strongman system, they have one advantage, that is...”

”The powerhouses within the God system have a significantly higher probability of achieving star river level power. Although most star river-level god spirits remain at the bottom, their sheer numbers represent significant power, which truly explains their extended endurance in the universe.”

Jia Yan’s statements led to a period of silence among the stellar-level creatures, as they listened without retort.

Because Jia Yan was right: no matter the shortcomings of the God system’s creatures, it can’t be denied that, even if their power trails the same level of stellar slightly, it’s not by much. As their initial strength burgeons, they might even annihilate same-level stellar strong ones completely. So even if weaker, they aren’t by such a drastic margin.

Moreover, the probability of God system’s powerhouses achieving galaxy-level power, or promotion to the middle stellar period, synonymous with middle divine spirit strength, far exceeds the promotion chance for stellar-level strong ones.

In such circumstances, if not for the vastly larger number of universe strongmen compared to the divine system, along with true top-tier power far exceeding divine spirits’, restricting them to within the Divine Spirit Major Domain—otherwise, what would universe-tier strongmen have to be proud of?

”Uh, that’s indeed true. As I heard last time—a mere fifty years ago—a God system powerhouse on this God Spirit Planet advanced to middle divine spirit strength, annihilating nearly half the universe system’s strongmen before calmly returning to the divine domain, wherein no universe powerhouses succeeded in elevating on this God Spirit Planet.”

A stellar-level creature refrained from disrespecting divine spirit creatures, sighing deeply as he spoke.

”Hmm? Such a recent occurrence, a divine spirit creature advancing here?”

The unintentional statement stirred Jia Yan, whose expression subtly stiffened upon hearing it.

If such a recent leap occurred here, wouldn’t that imply a certain potential for a divine spirit promotion to transpire within this God Spirit Planet?

Especially under the common circumstances of conflicts—a stronger proficiency of any form of powerhouse emerges, and should Jia Yan be incautiously entangled with an emerging middle divine spirit on this large, star-level planet without existing middle stellar strength resistances, it would be highly displeasing.

”Lord Jia Yan, don’t worry. That divine spirit was indeed possessed of notable talent; I can assure you that there’s currently no divine spirit with such talent on this God Spirit Planet. However, with some existing at the early stage peak, it’s unclear whether they might experience breakthroughs amidst warfare.”

The words of the Flower God made Jia Yan slightly relaxed. It turns out that a breakthrough for a Divine Spirit is not such a simple matter.

However, since this possibility exists, he must consider this in his future battles.

After all, he is not too worried about combat power at the early stellar level now, but if a middle-level stellar power suddenly appears, that would be troublesome, especially since, within the Deity System, there are many helpers. If a few early-stage ones team up with a middle-level one, even he would only be able to escape.

Of course, for now, he just needs to be on guard. After all, whether a middle-level stellar-strength Divine Spirit will appear is still uncertain.

”Hm, my lord, the Yellow Sand God is on the move.”

”He really intends to resist.”

Just as Jia Yan was deep in thought, his subordinate reported to him.

Jia Yan slightly released his brainwave power to take a look. Indeed, beneath the vast ground, the three hundred thousand allied armies at the stellar level had already defeated the Yellow Sand God’s army and with roars of anger, were advancing towards the main city of the Yellow Sand God.

Even though the people in these troops knew what lay within the palace, creatures within the stellar system inherently had less fear of Godling Powerhouses. Even if they called the stellar-level strongmen ruling their domain Divine Spirits, their educational system frequently mentioned that all gods were fake. Even the strongest lord within their territories was merely a powerful being in the universe. Calling them gods was just a title.

So, the fear of Divine Spirits for this army was not as overwhelming. Moreover, their leader also said that the Yellow Sand God might not dare to act. Even if he did, the true masters behind the army—the stellar-level beings—would intervene.

With so many assurances, how could the army be afraid?

Boom!!

However, the creatures of the army surely misunderstood the stellar-level powerhouses’ intention of protecting the army.

When the first creature of the stellar-level forces, laughing wildly, stepped into the already-opened gates of the Yellow Sand God’s main city,

A tremendous divine might, the brainwave power reaching the strength of a stellar-level powerhouse, erupted and instantly pulverized the ordinary soldier who dared to step into the main city’s territory.

”He’s making a move! Hmph, go down and deal with him.”

Seeing this from afar, Jia Yan knew that the Yellow Sand God had taken action.

Then he had the first subdued Heavenly Bull Monster go down to confront this enraged Divine Spirit.

”Yes, my lord.” Tian Niu Lang nodded to Jia Yan and flew towards the land of Yellow Sand City without any fear.

As a stellar-level powerhouse, fearing Jia Yan was reasonable.,but wanting Tian Niu Monster to fear a Divine with merely three minutes of combat power—how could he be scared?

”Yellow Sand God, as a being with stellar-level combat power, you attack ordinary armies. You made the first move, so don’t blame me for annihilating you.”

Tian Niu Lang’s voice echoed through the heavens, and then he appeared from the hidden sky, instantly rushing towards the Yellow Sand God’s main city.

”Tian Niu Lang, I never thought you would be so willing to be Jia Yan’s lackey. Weren’t you famous for being steadfast? Now, you’re actually skilled at licking your master’s toes.”

The Yellow Sand God’s figure also appeared above the main city. When he unleashed that powerful force just now, he knew a stellar-level powerhouse would definitely step in to fight him. He had no intention of avoiding the fight but faced it head-on.

In his view, the god system behind him would definitely intervene, so he was not afraid and prepared to fight, intending to make the opponent back off after a battle.

He needed his territory desperately. Without it, his strength would rapidly decline.

Thud!

Though the two powerhouses were exchanging harsh words, when it came to battle, there was no hesitation.

Their brainwave powers collided, instantly detonating the entire sky.

If the Yellow Sand God hadn’t intentionally protected the city below, his splendid main city and palace might have vanished by now.

The Yellow Sand God’s body, resembling a creature like a fox about a kilometer long, had yellow sand vaguely swirling across its surface, which presumably was related to his name.

”The attack pattern of this Yellow Sand God is quite interesting.”

Jia Yan watched the battle below with a faintly intrigued expression from high above.

Stellar-level battles are, after all, stellar-level battles. Even though Jia Yan was confident of triumphing over the two fighting beasts, learning something from their fight was quite normal.
