Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1754: Chapter 2: Divine Kingdom Plate

Rocaso City, as the most western city under the Northern God’s territory, has always been one of the more prosperous cities.

On this day, countless creatures came to Rocaso City for trade and commerce. Naturally, many battles and conflicts also occurred.

”Haha, that kid earlier actually tried to reason with me, yet with just one hit from me, he couldn’t get up from the ground.”

A roaring beast looked exactly like a dog-headed humanoid, with a body similar to humans but covered in fur and a head entirely resembling a dog’s.

Its stature was over two meters tall.

Suddenly, a massive shadow came beside him.

The dog-headed humanoid was startled, then saw a gigantic scorpion monster over fifty meters long walking past him.

”Sword Saint Level! I can’t believe I encountered a Sword Saint Level expert; scared the life out of me.”

The dog-headed humanoid, who had earlier been quite arrogant, was terrified in an instant, and its dog head drooped down, not daring to breathe.

Moreover, what shocked him even more was that the enormous terrifying scorpion, over fifty meters long, was actually following behind a creature that didn’t even seem taller than it.

Could that shadow be a human? The dog-headed humanoid was slightly amazed, but quickly dismissed the thought that the scorpion monster might be a subordinate of a human.

Indeed, the one passing by him was Jia Yan along with the scorpion creature.

”Bes, is there really no technology on this planet?”

While walking, Jia Yan kept observing everything around him while persistently asking questions.

The Bes he referred to was naturally that scorpion creature following by his side.

”Lord, although everyone on this planet knows about technology, we do not like those things, and neither do the Divine Spirits. On this Star of the Gods, we prefer martial power. Don’t you think, Lord, that personal valor is most important?”

The scorpion creature replied.

Jia Yan sighed and shook his head.

He wondered whether all this was intentional by those Divine Spirits or if the Realm of the Gods was truly like this. Surely, the Realm of the Gods couldn’t be like this; without technology, even a large domain couldn’t develop.

”But this planet indeed matches my expectations — a lot of surprising things.”

”Especially...”

While walking, Jia Yan lifted his gaze and glanced at the protective shield-like thing hanging above the city.

Such a thing was entirely new to Jia Yan; he had never seen it before or even heard of it.

Of course, this was because Jia Yan hadn’t been in the Stellar Battlefield for long, and this was his first visit to the surrounding area of the Stellar Academy. Given more time in this area, he would surely encounter more extraordinary alien civilization artifacts.

”This defense shield, in the way I perceive it, seems to vaguely contain certain unique domain forces, seemingly beneficial to my domain...”

Jia Yan glanced briefly and then looked away.

He sensed that the protective shield above his head felt like an already employed domain, which had minimal effect on him. If he could get something unused like this, it might have a much bigger impact on him.

”I wonder if this planet has more surprises besides this one?”

Upon witnessing the first surprising thing, Jia Yan became increasingly curious about this planet.

Of course, including the protective shield-like thing, Jia Yan did not believe he couldn’t get it. After all, even if the avatar was weak, he still had his true body, didn’t he?

”Earlier, I sensed the city’s strongest being had merely semi-permanent star level beginner strength, only slightly stronger than this scorpion creature beside me.”

Jia Yan casually probed the city’s strongest power, yet the other party did not notice his probe.

After all, for his avatar, exterminating an average semi-permanent star level being was just one or two strikes; such ordinary semi-permanent star level creatures could naturally not detect his probe.

But Jia Yan still detected something different.

”The creatures here have a power level subtly different from what I know, and their cultivation paths are not entirely the same. How can a semi-permanent star level already have some sense of domain?”

When Jia Yan first detected this matter, he was greatly shocked. Even his true body’s domain wasn’t perfected yet; how could a semi-permanent star level already possess a domain — what does this mean?

However, after he carefully inspected, he was relieved.

Because the domain held by the city’s semi-permanent star level was not the same path as the domain he comprehended. Even if they were similar, in details, there were many differences.

For instance, the other party’s domain felt lifeless, with no vitality at all, extremely inflexible.

And Jia Yan’s domain is that of a true Stellar Level Strong One, flexible and diverse, compared to the other’s domain, it’s dozens to hundreds of times stronger.

”However, I can vaguely sense that the power levels on this planet are actually related to domains, and their Divine Spirit Domain force does not speak of domains, but rather...

Divine Kingdom?

”Divine Kingdom huh? I wonder what the domain of those so-called Divine Spirits’ Divine Kingdom would look like...”

Jia Yan thought lightly, but didn’t notice that the scorpion creature beside him was attracted by a group that had also appeared in this city.

”What’s wrong.”

Jia Yan stopped and asked.

Following the scorpion monster’s gaze, Jia Yan saw a group that looked extremely imposing passing through the city’s wide path. The creatures along the road didn’t dare provoke them, all avoiding them.

”Lord God Envoy, this is a group of creatures from the force that exterminated my kind. But they are certainly not the masterminds, rather just subordinates carrying out tasks.” The scorpion creature replied.

”Oh, so do you want to annihilate them?” Jia Yan didn’t care too much, this scorpion creature was a good guide for him, and it seemed to have some request for him, so even wiping out this group wouldn’t mean much to him.

Of course, if it were to conflict with a Divine Spirit, he wasn’t willing, as his True Body over there shouldn’t be interrupted.

”Forget it, Lord, we should avoid them for now.”

The scorpion creature lowered its head; there were still several groups of scorpions on this planet, so the other party probably wouldn’t suspect it to be a survivor of the scorpion tribe they just exterminated.

”Haha, exterminating that scorpion tribe has quite a few benefits; just the complete Divine Kingdom Plate is worth a lot.”

”What are you laughing about? This has to be handed in, do you still dare to keep it for yourself?”

A group of creatures passed through the area where Jia Yan and Bes were without paying attention, none noticing Bes by the roadside.

Of course, a few did glance at Bes, noting his distinctive scorpion tribe appearance, but thought he shouldn’t belong to the tribe they just wiped out, so they let it go.

After all, even though the Scorpion Tribe might mostly be a weak species on this planet, there were one or two backed by Divine Spirits, and they didn’t want to provoke unnecessary trouble.

”Bastards, to steal my tribe’s Divine Kingdom Plate!” Bes almost erupted at that moment but sensibly held back.

”Eh, what is that Divine Kingdom Plate they mentioned?”

Jia Yan suddenly asked Bes, standing beside him, about the term he was most curious about.

”Lord, the Divine Kingdom Plate is...” Bes didn’t know how to describe it, still treating Jia Yan as an unenlightened outsider.

”Oh, right, it’s like the Divine Kingdom Shield of this city, but what my tribe has isn’t as impressive.”

He pointed to the city’s protective shield above them.

”Hmph, to steal your tribe’s Divine Kingdom Plate, that’s downright revolting. Don’t worry, I’ll get it back for you.”

Upon hearing these words, Bes felt the Lord God Envoy before him suddenly change his expression completely, revealing a momentarily angry face.

He was taken aback, then understood that the Lord didn’t intend to stand up for him, but rather had his eyes on the Divine Kingdom Plate.

”Indeed, they slaughtered my tribe; it’s outrageous. I beg the Lord to stand up for me.” Bes quickly put on a pitiful expression, earnestly pleading with Jia Yan.

”I can make a move and bear the consequences for you, but about that Divine Kingdom Plate...” Jia Yan turned his head, his eyes flashing slightly, looking at this scorpion tribe creature.

”Such a precious treasure, it’s a hot potato for me to hold. It should, of course, be managed by the Lord. Besides, I was planning to offer it to the Lord as a gift of gratitude.”

Hearing Bes being so tactful, Jia Yan internally praised him as teachable. Of course, if the other party had refused, he wouldn’t have given up on seizing the Divine Kingdom Plate. It would just result in further dealings with Bes, as there would be a fracture between them.

Since Bes’s attitude was decent for now, it warranted helping him vent his grievances.

”Alright then, let’s explore this city a bit, and follow them once they exit the city.” Jia Yan wasn’t keen on outright actions, as he was an Outsider and didn’t wish to expose himself to other Strong Ones or forces before understanding this world.

”Uh, Lord, Rocaso City is so vast; if they leave, we might not be able to keep track of them or catch up.” The scorpion creature said, hesitant.

”Rest assured, this city isn’t that big. As soon as they exit, I’ll know, and you can take me sightseeing in the meantime.”

Jia Yan’s response left the scorpion creature feeling peculiar.

In the scorpion creature’s perception, even though Jia Yan’s cultivation system was different, he was, in essence, similar to it, meaning they were both of the ’Sword Saint’ level.

A Sword Saint is indeed a powerful figure, but psychic power wise, they can’t possibly manage everything about this city all the time, can they?

It looked at Jia Yan a bit doubtfully, but seeing his confidence, it had no choice but to accept his words. After all, it didn’t plan on collecting any ’interests’ from that force at the moment.
