Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1642: Chapter 8: Jia Yan Pays His Respects

Among the Bella clan, whose faces resemble Earth people but are much larger in stature, many reminisce about the days more than a decade ago.

Those were the days just after the unrest in the Country of Taia had ended.

Although those days were tough and occasional battles emerged at the border, at least back then, Taia was not bullied and even respected by many small countries.

But over the past decade, the ’Lord Jia Yan’ who once protected Taia, left at some unknown time, and the Earth Fleet gradually transformed into the ’Taiya National Fleet.’

Though everything seemed better, Taia’s status seemed to have reverted to how it was over twenty years ago, becoming a presence in the central area that everyone could bully. Some countries or forces seeking technology workers would directly come to Taia to ask for them, and once those people left, whether they lived or died, no one knew.

So at this moment, the entire lower layer of Taia harbored a stomach full of resentment towards the royal family, led by Kama.

But what they didn’t know was that Kama and the other high-ranking members also felt helpless and sorrowful.

”No one knows that our Taia Country offended too many powers and nations in that battle more than ten years ago. This whole time has been spent mending relationships, or else the Bella’s last nation would have perished...”

Inside the Taia Nation Palace, Kama opened the internet and saw countless netizens madly cursing her, feeling a deep sorrow in her heart.

Being misunderstood like this felt terrible, but she had to endure it.

”However, soon our Taia Country won’t need to fear anything because the person who once brought us prestige is about to return...”

Thinking of that person, Kama felt a wave of complex emotions.

She admitted that even though they weren’t of the same species, she had developed a slightly different feeling for that person beyond a subordinate relationship back then.

Over the years, instead of decreasing, this emotion had only deepened in her heart.

Unfortunately, Kama understood that she would not receive a response.

”But it’ll be good just to see him, and soon I’ll be able to... What should I wear? Although it might not be to his liking, given the species difference, I still need to dress nicely.”

Just as Kama’s mind wandered, a guard at the door suddenly reported a visitor, causing her good mood to vanish instantly.

”Lord, Lord Heise of the Red Hall’s forces requests an audience.”

Hearing the guard’s report, Kama felt like she had swallowed a fly, utterly disgusted.

But knowing what kind of power the Red Hall was, she had no choice but to reluctantly receive the visitor despite her disgust.

”Very well, please bring Lord Heise in.”

Soon, within the Taia Nation Palace Hall, a creature with a proud stride slowly entered the hall.

”Greetings, Emperor Kama.” Although the creature greeted respectfully, its demeanor lacked any true respect, merely going through the motions.

”Lord Heise, no need for formalities. What brings you here this time?”

Though Kama internally resented seeing him, she had no choice but to present a gracious appearance, smiling as she assessed him.

Even though Heise was a monster, his actual race belonged to a humanoid giant race. Upon seeing Kama’s beautiful appearance and expression, he almost became dazzled and agitated as if about to rush towards Kama.

But knowing the location, even if he was confident he could abduct Kama from the Taia Palace, the impact would be too significant, so he restrained himself.

”Emperor Kama, I came this time to discuss the matter of renting scientists.” He suppressed the desire in his eyes and spoke with a slightly pressing tone.

”Hmm? It’s about renting scientists again. Didn’t the emperor agree to lend you ten scientists? Isn’t that enough?”

Upon hearing his words, Kama’s expression changed entirely.

It’s known that the power behind Heise, the Red Hall, has come several times over the years to rent scientists from Taia. Not only would they demand more each time, but those scientists taken also went missing, with no news of their status, leading the people at Taia’s lower levels to scold the royal family for their incompetence.

Could it be that borrowing ten more isn’t enough this time?!

Sure enough, Heise lightly shook his head after hearing Kama’s words.

”Yes, after reporting this rental message, another request came from above. Since our country’s significant military technology needs extensive scientific talent, they want me to ask Emperor Kama for a quota of fifty people.”

”Fifty people? That’s impossible!”

As soon as he said this, Kama stood up in rage.

Even though she wanted to be humble, this request was too excessive!

Fifty top-notch scientific talents, even though the Country of Taia will certainly not provide their most powerful scientists, the number of fifty people, even if they’re second-rate scientific talents, is enough to drain the core technological strength of the entire Country of Taia.

To exaggerate a bit, if these fifty people were taken away in an instant, the Country of Taia might experience technological gaps in certain areas.

So Kama is absolutely impossible to agree.

”Emperor Kama, this is a reasonable request from my force. Don’t forget, if you don’t agree, my country can retaliate against yours in many ways, you should consider well. I’ll come again the day after tomorrow to hear your response, I hope you’ll think it through.”

Heise saw Kama’s entire body trembling with anger, a kind of pleasure in manipulating a high-status woman arose, and after throwing out such words, he directly stepped out of the hall.

And behind him, Kama had already slapped a nearby high platform flying!

”Unbearable, simply unendurable.”

Kama seemed to think of something, then opened the communicator, but no matter how she called, she couldn’t get a response from the other side.

”Let me check the intel, was Master Jia Yan’s avatar still on Weird Star before? Sigh, if that’s the case, no matter how fast he is, he couldn’t possibly get here in such a short time, it’s not like a catapult method.”

Kama was helpless, as the emperor of a technological nation, she understood very well that even if Jia Yan was in the Northern Star Domain at this moment, it is certainly impossible to reach the Country of Taia in two or three days. After all, there’s a small half light-year distance in between.

Of course, she didn’t know that Jia Yan also had a very excellent technological ability helper in the Genius Battlefield, and that helper’s technological strength might exceed that of a group of scientists here in the Country of Taia, perhaps even much stronger.

Because the superfast battleship he’s riding in now could shock those on the Taia side if they saw it.

And with this super speed method, a small half light-year is nothing, he could indeed arrive in two days.

Kama over here didn’t even know that Jia Yan was already heading towards her location.

”Without Master Jia Yan coming over, it looks like I can only first resort to temporary compliance, negotiate good terms with Heise, but this puts us in a passive position. Even if Master arrives in the future, with an agreement there, it’s not that straightforward to break it.”

”Damn it, if only I had something definitive to outright refuse Heise.”

Kama was extremely angry, but she also had no way out.

Because that Heise alone is a huge threat, at this moment being on Taya Star is like a walking terror weapon, if truly refused, there’s a chance he could be enraged on the spot, and then destroy her along with the entire Taya Star.

”This Heise is a Secondary Level Strong One, to have dispatched such a strong one, what great ambition the Power of the Red Pavilion has for My TaYa Nation.”

Kama shook her head, she had already made up her mind, to delay as much as possible in two days, if really impossible to delay, then agree to the opponent’s terms.

Two days passed quickly.

During these two days, Kama called Master Jia Yan’s communicator again and again, but no matter how brilliant that quantum communicator was, she couldn’t communicate with Jia Yan who was in Subspace, so all her hopes were unanswered.

And practically giving Kama no opportunity, Heise announced his request for a meeting as soon as the two days were up.

The same place, the same two beings. But this time, from the very start, Kama glared at the opponent with eyes full of anger, no longer retaining her previous queenly demeanor.

She was originally such a woman, especially at this moment being bullied terribly by others, if it were her in the past, she would have fought desperately.

But now she bears the lives of over thirty billion Bella clan members, apart from glaring at the opponent, she dared not make any other moves.

”Alright, Emperor Kama, I’ve already given you two days. Now can you give me your answer.”

The Giant stood before Kama, his wrinkled face blooming with a look seemingly well-dressed.

He was in a good mood because today was the day he would push Kama to a dead end, as instructions had already come down, even if Kama agrees to his terms, afterwards he would request higher-level scientific tasks from his force, demanding more talents and resources from Kama.

Such demands are beyond what the Country of Taia can bear, Kama will certainly refuse.

And in that case, he could act, and even the top had agreed with him, the useless Kama would become his plaything.

On other forces’ aspect, the Red Hall had already made arrangements, even if they swallow the Country of Taia, it wouldn’t have significant impacts.

Being able to capture a female emperor for one’s own plaything is a very interesting thing. Just thinking about it made Heise the Giant Monster almost excited.

”I agree...”

Just as Kama, in resignation, realized she could not resist the opponent’s request and was about to agree. Suddenly, outside the door, a seemingly ecstatic soldier’s report sound rang out!

”Jia Yan... pays respect!”

What?! Kama’s eyes suddenly widened!
