Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1611: Chapter 8: What the Hell Are You Catching!

The Tianhe Force is a medium and small power within the Central Star District of the Genius Battlefield.

Thinking from the perspective of forces on the periphery of the battlefield, the powers in the central area of the Genius Battlefield surely lead a very comfortable life. After all, they not only enjoy tributes from external forces but also receive significant attention from the official of the genius battle domain. Such a force surely wouldn’t have too many obstacles to development.

But what the outside world doesn’t know is that, in reality, the forces in the Central Star Area aren’t having such an easy time, especially the medium and small-sized forces, which almost have to depend on the larger forces and the Dark Realm, living a life that could be described as extremely difficult.

”Sigh, that Dark Realm has turned even worse, demanding that we tribute more resources.”

”How can it be like this? Didn’t we agree last time, and now we are financially tight, don’t they even understand waiting for us for a while...?”

”You all know that our force’s Dark Realm was startled by an assassin last time, and as a result, the assassin hasn’t appeared in our Starfield for a long time, so the Dark Realm, out of shame and anger, took revenge on us...”

”Life is getting worse, and Jia Yan has been nowhere for over a decade, probably by his Talent now, his Power could match an Intermediate Talent Semi-permanent Star Level Strong One, right?”

In the Tianhe Force, the leaders seemed like wilted vegetables, chatting with some helplessness.

The profits gained by the Tianhe Force due to Tian Rongguang’s promotion to a Semi-permanent Star Level were already exhausted after over twenty years of digestion. The surrounding forces have also grasped the resources of the Tianhe Force, especially understanding that besides Tian Rongguang, who recently got promoted to a high-level talent semi-permanent star, there are only some not very strong intermediates, thus their fear of the Tianhe Force has diminished significantly.

Originally full of confidence, wanting to turn into a medium-sized force, the Tianhe Force has had very difficult and aggrieved times these years.

”Forget it, last time Lord Tian Rongguang went into that Dark Realm to resist but got injured; now he is still recovering from his injuries. We are already doing well acting like a Retractable Turtle, as long as we don’t provoke the Dark Realm into a direct attack on us.”

Among the few high-level Elders, the Foreign Affairs Elder Tiantesu also shook his head with a wry smile.

He couldn’t help but recall more than a decade ago, back then, when the decision-making Elder of their Tianhe Force, Tian Rongguang, just got promoted to a Semi-permanent Star Level, the entire force was full of self-confidence, and they were even nurturing several outstanding high-talent geniuses. Even the presumably high-talent Jia Yan was within the Tianhe Force.

Who could have thought that such a thriving force would decline to such a point within such a short span? Not only was Tian Rongguang injured, but Jia Yan also went missing. Among the other few geniuses, one got killed and the others saw things going poorly, and with fewer resources, directly switched allegiance to other forces.

This is truly ’when the tree falls, the monkeys scatter.’

The entire council hall fell into silence; no one wanted to speak due to the pressure.

”Sir Tiantesu, there is an intelligence report from the star transmission body.”

Suddenly, Tiantesu’s communicator rang. Normally, you couldn’t take calls during such meetings, but with the current atmosphere, no one said anything, so Tiantesu accepted the call.

”Hmm? An intelligence report? Could it be some subordinate force sending personnel over again? Hmm, I’ll go take a look.”

Tiantesu nodded and, ignoring the assembled Elders, headed towards the outside.

He knew that no matter how much time he gave this group, they wouldn’t come to any conclusion, ultimately leaving the injured Tian Rongguang to make the final decision.

”Such a nice Tianhe Force, why do I feel it has fallen even before Tian Rongguang achieved the Semi-permanent Star Level?” Tiantesu thought to himself as he walked.

Upon reaching the reception area for guests, he noticed no one had arrived yet. He inquired about the situation.

”Elder Sir, the visitor claimed to be a person from our force but hasn’t returned for a long time. We don’t know if he’s telling the truth, especially since our detector can’t identify his appearance.”

A Secondary Level creature respectfully spoke to Tiantesu.

Ordinary creatures still didn’t understand the high-level concerns. Though everyone realized the Tianhe Force was declining, since it was a force from the Central Star Area, common creatures wouldn’t believe that such a massive Tianhe Force would simply fade away.

”He claims to be from our force, and your detector cannot identify him? Your system data has been updated for ten years; it seems he is at least a person from over ten years ago, let me see.”

Tiantesu understood that in the Genius Battlefield there are many such creatures because geniuses need real combat and experience to increase their strength, so cases of geniuses leaving several years before returning were common in all major forces, though the more likely scenario was that genius had died.

And this is why major forces cleaned their databases every ten years.

”If it is someone from the force who left ten years ago, in ten years, there should be some strength that might be useful.”

He opened the panel and saw the staff member in the reception area pointing at a flying creature on the panel’s screen, saying to him, ”Elder Sir, it’s him, do you recognize him?”

”Uh...”

The personnel in charge saw Tiantesu took a glance at the figure on the panel, and his entire body froze.

”What’s wrong? Is there something peculiar about this creature? I’ll order the defense ships at the edge of our force to capture him immediately!” The person in charge was startled, then said with a sinister tone.

”Capture? You fool, do you know who he is? Catch my ass!”

Tian Tesu nearly jumped up. He was too familiar with the owner of that figure; back in the day, he felt incredibly proud just for having hosted this being.

You must know the owner of this figure was a topic among the geniuses in the Central Star Area back then.

”Jia Yan! He’s still alive, and he’s returned to our Tianhe Force!”

Tian Tesu hurriedly passed the news he received to the elders and the injured Tian Rongguang, not caring about their reactions, he prepared an exceedingly grand ship welcoming ceremony and went to the edge of their force to welcome Jia Yan, who had been intercepted.

After a moment of hesitation, he also sent a message to Xiaoya from the Mermaid tribe.

Standing alone at the edge of the Tianhe Force, Jia Yan looked at this familiar force, almost feeling like a lifetime had passed.

Back then, when he came to the Tianhe Force, he was directly received with high-level hospitality. In this force, he received great care, which helped him overcome the initial adaptation period upon entering the Central Star Area.

Although he left the Tianhe Force later, he still considered himself a part of it. After all, a day as a teacher, a lifetime as a father, especially the guidance from Tian Rongguang, even now, he could see the ’Shadow’ in his battles; this was a very important help.

”I don’t even know why they couldn’t retrieve my information, maybe it’s because I haven’t returned for too long, and the data has been erased.”

Jia Yan gave a wry smile, not angry, and continued to wait.

Soon after, the entire Starry Sky suddenly lit up.

Dozens of huge and powerfully oppressive battleships, draped in flags, emitted lights that illuminated the entire Starry Sky.

If any creature who hadn’t seen this scene would certainly be startled, thinking the Tianhe Force intended to make a move against them.

But Jia Yan had witnessed a similar scene many years ago and smiled knowingly. Because he knew, the other party recognized him.

Before long, amid the sound of several hundred ceremonial salutes, a massive welcoming ship approximately ten kilometers long arrived at Jia Yan’s location.

”Haha, I was wondering why I felt so happy today, it’s because Jia Yan, you’ve returned. Welcome, welcome.”

From within the battleship, Tian Tesu quickly flew out.

After more than a decade had passed, his appearance remained unchanged, though his aura was slightly stronger.

In contrast, Jia Yan’s change was significant. Although the aura he exuded was still at the Venerable level, his physique had increased manifold; even Tian Tesu, with Intermediate Talent at Semi-permanent Star Level, felt slightly astonished.

”Hehe, Elder Tian Tesu, we meet again.” Jia Yan smiled, chatting with him as they entered the welcoming ship.

”Hey, do you know who this is? I can’t gauge his strength, but it seems Elder Tian Tesu cares a lot about him.”

”I don’t understand either. We’ve been in the Tianhe Force for years and yet don’t know him; he must be one of the seniors of our force.”

”Haha, don’t you know? This person was a legendary figure in the Tianhe Force over a decade ago, who battled against many renowned geniuses. Let me tell you...”

A multitude of Tianhe Force creatures began talking extensively about Jia Yan. Among them were some newly joined members and others who had personally witnessed Jia Yan’s glorious days in the Tianhe Force.

Countless creatures recalled Jia Yan’s past deeds, leaving newcomers in awe.

A powerful genius from the War against Perpetual Stars Academy who fought against formidable geniuses in the Central Star Area without any defeat. Moreover, among those geniuses, some have now reached extremely formidable power levels.

”So, our Tianhe Force once had such an amazing genius senior. Impressive.”

Virtually all the fresh members of the force felt astonished by what Jia Yan had achieved.

Simultaneously, their hearts gained a sliver of confidence in facing the current crisis within the force, all because such a terrifying genius had returned. Even if his power was not enough to rival the high-level talent semi-permanent star strong ones, he was a genius. The official of the genius battle domain would certainly not allow the destruction of the force behind such a genius.

”Jia Yan, ahem, although you just came back, it’s hard for me to ask you for anything, but...” Inside the welcoming ship, Tian Tesu hesitated to speak.
