”The Venerable level battle has concluded, and now it’s time for what everyone has been looking forward to even more—the Secondary Powerhouse battles. The competition continues and will become even more spectacular!”

Just as Jia Yan had acknowledged the announcement, these several monsters also heard that the holographic screen of the arena displayed the end of today’s Venerable level battles, and up next were the battles of the Secondary Powerhouse level warriors.

”The first match, Jia Yan versus the White Ape Clan’s Ape Dance!”

And whether by coincidence or not, the first match of the Secondary Powerhouse battle happened to be Jia Yan fighting against a Secondary Powerhouse who was a White Ape Clan member!

”Hehe, it’s my turn, thank you for your encouragement; now I’m going up.”

Jia Yan looked at the screen, not too surprised. After loosening up his body, he stepped confidently towards the high platform.

A group of Dignitaries did not expect Jia Yan to leave as soon as he said he would, without any fuss or warm-up, as if taking on a Secondary Powerhouse was a very ordinary fight for him, showing no worry at all.

”See? This is what a powerful Genius looks like. We geniuses might be influential in the outside world, but in the Genius Battlefield, we fall far short of such talent.”

The Leopard Monster watched Jia Yan, a hint of envy appearing in its expression.

The other great Dignitaries showed the same expression.

Outside the Starry Sky, in the Genius Battlefield, every genius commands the utmost attention, embodying unparalleled confidence. However, upon entering the Genius Battlefield, the true geniuses and the weaker geniuses start to show their differences; most geniuses become mediocre, while a few truly powerful ones become Intermediate or even High-level Geniuses.

Of course, top-tier geniuses shine brightly even outside, standing out almost immediately upon entering the Genius Battlefield. Compared to such elite geniuses, these great Dignitaries didn’t dare to expect to match them even from the outside world.

To them, Jia Yan now seemed like a genius of perhaps Intermediate Genius strength.

”Hehe, did you see that VIP room? It’s said that today, one of our 132 Star Zone’s Intermediate Genius Powerhouses is watching from up there. I wonder what kind of expression this genius will have after seeing Brother Jia Yan.”

One of the Dignitaries gestured for the strong ones to look at the VIP room on the high platform, a curious look crossing their faces.

”I’ve heard about it too. I think, maybe the other party will come out and have a battle with Lord Jia Yan. However, we still don’t know Lord Jia Yan’s strength. This genius made a move a few days ago and easily defeated a Secondary Powerhouse. Moreover, his power fluctuation reached the Peak of Venerables; I’m afraid Lord Jia Yan might still be a bit behind.”

Another Powerhouse expressed a less optimistic view of Jia Yan, and the surrounding Dignitaries seemed to agree with this opinion.

After all, Jia Yan’s biggest disadvantage was that his Brainwave Power Level was only between the initial to mid-Venerable period. Although a warrior’s strength is not measured solely by Brainwave Power, anyone with weaker Brainwave Power is certainly a lot weaker, especially among genius warriors. Missing that power could mean a world of difference. Although Jia Yan might also be an Intermediate Genius in their eyes, if someone has more Energy than Jia Yan, it makes sense they would be stronger.

As they were discussing, Jia Yan had already calmly arrived at the center of the ring.

”You lad, daring to challenge me with the body of a Venerable? Do you know what that implies?”

The opponent, a white Monkey Monster, upon seeing Jia Yan’s entrance, let his roughly three hundred meters tall body crack with the sound of popping bones, as if a fierce emotion was brewing within.

”Haha, the White Ape Clan seems to possess a talent for turning anger into strength. This challenge by a Venerable level monster has clearly angered him. It seems this newcomer challenger is in some danger.”

In the commentator’s booth on the high platform, a Secondary Powerhouse commented on the fight and casually expressed a not-so-optimistic outlook on Jia Yan’s chances.

Naturally, no one holds much hope for a Venerable challenging a Secondary Powerhouse, because the overall strength is significantly weaker, especially for a genius powerhouse—small deficits in energy make a substantial proportional difference in strength.

Jia Yan’s strength is not yet at the Peak of Venerables, clearly indicating he is far weaker than this Secondary Powerhouse.

”Although Ape Dance of the White Ape Clan is said to be the weakest among Secondary Powerhouses, his strength is not genuinely weak. It’s only because he often gets too emotionally worked up and ends up killing his opponents, which results in his low ranking in the battles across various Star Zones. This Venerable level newcomer is in a tight spot.”

The Tornado Force’s Star Zone battle commentators, both of them, thought little of Jia Yan’s chances after assessing his situation. Going back and forth in their discussion about how too many of the current young newcomers act recklessly, it seemed as if they had already concluded that Jia Yan was doomed to lose.

”Senior, hello. Even though I may not win against you, I won’t surrender.”

After hearing his opponent’s words in the arena, Jia Yan didn’t bother saying much else. Merely calling his opponent ”Senior” was already giving enough respect to a Secondary Powerhouse.

”Roar, dare not listen to my words, you shall die!”

The white Ape Monster roared angrily, then punched out!

Jia Yan, several kilometers away, could feel a gust of punch wind coming his way, nearly destabilizing his footing.

The gap in Brainwave Power cannot be made up with mere strength. Although Jia Yan fancied that his strength was superior to the opponent’s, in terms of brute force, he was bound to be significantly inferior.

”Hmph, you think you can kill me with just one punch?”

Seeing that the White Ape Monster was not holding back at all, Jia Yan coldly snorted. If he had been just an ordinary Genius Powerhouse, perhaps he would have been killed by a single hit. With a stomp, he stepped into the Subspace.

”Eh, Space Talent?”

The White Ape Monster noticed Jia Yan entering the Subspace, his expression changing slightly as his eyes darted around, detecting something peculiar in the space, and threw a punch directly in that direction!

Boom!

The heaven and earth trembled.

But in the direction of his strike, all that could be seen was a huge impact crater stretching two to three kilometers, with no sign of Jia Yan being blasted out of the subspace.

Right behind this powerhouse, a pale forelimb reached out.

Pfft!

Blood spurted from the mouth of the White ape monster.

”You!”

He looked at his chest, penetrated by a single blow from his opponent, disbelief coloring his expression.

But Jia Yan behind him did not give him much chance to react.

”You want me dead? Go to hell yourself!”

Accompanied by Jia Yan’s indifferent voice, his Brainwave Power coursed through the forelimb and unleashed a terrifying force directly inside his opponent’s viscera!

Pfft pfft pfft!

Blood splattered again, filling the entire arena with a ghastly scene.

The gigantic White ape monster couldn’t stop it, and collapsed onto the ground.

”Eh! A single blow?”

Above the arena, the Lizard monster from the VIP box was also momentarily stunned by Jia Yan’s one-hit-kill technique.

But he quickly came back to his senses.

”Haha, very good, this is worth lifting a finger to point out to him. Set it up for me, I’ll go into the arena shortly to fight with a few Secondary Powerhouses. Arrange for our encounter in the top ten battles. Not bad, I quite like this Jia Yan. I look forward to seeing if he can withstand more than two of my moves.”

Following the words of this Lizard monster, the schedule for Jia Yan’s battles was set.

And the strength manifested by Jia Yan caused a small commotion among the entire bench of Secondary Powerhouse contestants.

”This Venerable Jia Yan, where does he come from? So strong. I’ve fought with that White ape twice, and although I won both times, they were hard-fought victories. On one occasion, I even won because he lost his senses, and the referee declared me the winner.”

A Secondary Powerhouse looked at Jia Yan exiting the field, asking with grave concern to a companion.

He was fairly matched with that White ape monster, so facing Jia Yan, he too might suffer a one-blow defeat.

Losing was one thing, but seeing Jia Yan bold enough to directly kill the White ape monster, he feared that he might be killed in a single blow as well. Genius fighters cherish their lives even more than other Strong Ones, for although they may be weak here, once out in the Genius Battlefield, they are all incredible geniuses.

”Haha, he’s just lucky. Don’t you all know the strength of that Ape dance? Against a fighter with Space Talent, he hardly has any understanding. Perhaps it was just luck that the attack was launched from a blind spot in his perception?”

”That’s right, this kid, I saw the fluctuation of Brainwave Power he released. He’s not even at the Peak of Venerables, and we, a few Secondary Powerhouses, are indeed powerful beings, and he poses no threat at all.”

A few Secondary Powerhouses, even after witnessing Jia Yan’s prowess firsthand, still found numerous excuses to prove they were stronger than Jia Yan.

After all, this group of Strong Ones are proud, and coupled with the fact that Jia Yan’s previous blow merely happened to kill the White ape monster without any special speed or attack technique, they still believed Jia Yan’s strength wasn’t too formidable.

Of course, they still paid attention to a Venerable capable of killing a Secondary existence.

”Lord Jia Yan, you are too powerful.”

When Jia Yan stepped down from the battle arena, several acquainted Dignitaries surrounded him, expressing shock and reverence as if Jia Yan had accomplished something unimaginable.

The Leopard Monster showed even more respect towards Jia Yan.

”Lord, the White ape monster you’ve just killed is Ape dance from the White ape clan. He held a high status in his clan. As you know, it’s quite rare to see a death in the Star Zone battles, to avoid retaliation from the opponent’s faction. Though theoretically, they are not supposed to retaliate, in reality, countless such incidents have occurred. Please be careful, the White ape clan has contestants at both Secondary and Semi-permanent Star Levels. Even if they can’t confront you in this Star Zone battle, once you leave and re-join the Tornado Force, chances are you might be ambushed by them.”

”Oh? Ambushed? Hehe, thank you for the warning.”

Jia Yan, initially startled, nodded indifferently with an expression that others couldn’t discern.

The surrounding monsters were all unsure whether Jia Yan was afraid or not.
