Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1281: Chapter 34 Semi-Finals! [Subscribe to the official version]

(Uh, the title is wrong, it’s ’Half-Year Challenge’, Bu Yue was careless, sorry.)

As a future strong one, even though Jia Yan admitted that his current level of power wasn’t on par with King Er and Wolf Star, the presence and demeanor of the strong and the genius should not be lost, especially under the current circumstances. If he were to flee now, especially with Wolf Star undoubtedly on his side, it would be too cowardly!

”King Er, whether you accept it or not, it does not affect the final outcome of the fight. Are you planning to act dishonestly?” Wolf Star flew past Jia Yan, then stopped in front of him, showing a faint intent to protect.

”Of course, I wouldn’t act dishonestly, but the move that Jia Yan just used, I don’t think it was his own power. How could a person at the Lord Level transcend subspace? Even someone with the same space talent could not capture it. I think it’s impossible. He must have used some underhanded tactic,” King Er claimed, confronting Wolf Star without any significant fear of the so-called strongest person in the star zone.

The truth is, the two sides had never actually fought, and almost no one knew the current extent of King Er’s strength.

”King Er.”

Before Wolf Star could reply, a young voice sounded from behind them.

All the strong ones turned their gaze only to find that it was Jia Yan who had spoken up!

”Jia Yan dares to butt in when two semi-permanent star level powerhouses are speaking? Does he think that talent alone can decide everything?”

”Laughable, the strong are the strong. Just because you have good talent, you think you can cross two major levels and talk to semi-permanent star level powerhouses? It’s like asking for death.”

Several semi-permanent star level powerhouses from different forces, especially those who helped King Er’s Forces, now looked somewhat sinister and were unhappy with Jia Yan’s disrespect.

But Jia Yan paid no attention to these words, and slowly continued to speak.

”If you think I cheated, then come see for yourself if I did.”

As Jia Yan spoke, there was a trace of ruthlessness in his expression. To challenge a legendary figure in the star zone directly was audacious!

”But not right now, King Er, give me half a year. In half a year’s time, I’ll come to your Er Tian’s Forces myself, to demonstrate this spatial energy to you, and at the same time see if King Er’s strength is as formidable as the rumors say. What do you think?”

This statement from Jia Yan was like a thunderclap, shocking all the onlookers outside of the battle circle, as well as the viewers who witnessed this scene through the broadcast, causing them all to gape in astonishment.

Not only had he challenged a secondary powerhouse and won, but he also spoke words bold enough to drop jaws.

And now, he unleashed even more shocking words, facing the challenge of a semi-permanent star level powerhouse—the strongest in the 215 Star Zone, perhaps on an equal footing with Wolf Star, Er Tian’s Church Dean—’King Er’!?

This seemed like a fantasy, he was only a dignitary, and even though he spoke of half a year later, no one who saw his current energy would believe he could advance to secondary level in half a year. That meant he was planning to challenge King Er with the status of a dignitary?

It was not just wishful thinking, it was almost insanity!

”Hahaha, Jia Yan, am I hearing this right? You want to challenge me in half a year? Just half a year, are you sure you didn’t mean ten years?”

King Er was initially taken aback, and then burst into loud laughter. He had been very keen on having Jia Yan join because his forces could be promoted to an intermediate genius power with the addition of a high-level genius, and more so because Jia Yan was a high-level genius, inevitably a cornerstone for Er Tian’s Forces in the future.

But now he was starting to change his mind, because Jia Yan was an outrageous being, thinking of challenging him, the top semi-permanent star level of the 215 Star Zone, in half a year with the status of a dignitary? That was too much of a joke. Such an unreliable genius, even if a high-level one, would only be a scourge to his power.

In fact, he believed that even if Jia Yan had ten years to advance to secondary level, he did not think Jia Yan could challenge him.

”Yes! King Er, just state if you dare to take up the challenge,” Jia Yan said solemnly, unfazed by the laughter.

Jia Yan’s current manner held a hint of madness; although he wasn’t sure if he could actually fight King Er in half a year’s time, he didn’t believe it would necessarily end in a crushing defeat.

In life, one must always have a spirit of adventure; not only could it resolve the current crisis, but it could also push him forward. Jia Yan felt his progress was too slow. If he spent too much time in the genius battlefield, then how much more time would it take to aspire to even greater strength after reaching the stellar level someday?

If he didn’t take a leap now to motivate himself, gradually that spirit might fade away in the future.

”Jia Yan! Since an esteemed high-level genius like you say so, then I’ll wait for you to come to my Er Tian’s Forces to meet your end in half a year! Also, if you lose to me in half a year, then my Er Tian’s Forces will level your Wu Ci Power, even with Wolf Star backing you up, it will be useless, understand?”

King Er laughed angrily, and then with a human-like skull in his gaze, radiated a chilling and ferocious light.

Faced with the prospect of involving Wu Ci Power, Jia Yan was unsure how to respond, but it was Lord Bi Huangfu who spoke up at this moment.

”Accepted, we of the Wu Ci Power will accompany you.”

Jia Yan paused, turned around, and saw Lord Bi Huangfu with a serious face, but his glance at Jia Yan conveyed a comforting gesture.

”Good! Very well then, Jia Yan, Wu Ci Power, I won’t trouble you now, see you in half a year. Hope you don’t scare and run away. Goodbye!”

After revealing a terrifying glint in his eyes, King Er turned around, led a group of Er Tian’s Forces powerhouses, boarded the battleship, and left.

The forces supporting Er Tian’s Forces boarded their battleships and then drifted away.

”Jia Yan, if there’s anything in the future, you can still come to me. See you again in half a year.” Wolf Star glanced back at Jia Yan, then flew off without showing any emotion, leaving with his people on the battleship.

All the major forces left as well.

In an instant, the bustling starry sky had become completely deserted.

”Jia Yan, at least Er Tian’s Forces is a major force in a star zone; they wouldn’t resort to slaughter and return. We’re safe, for now, let’s go back.”

Bi Huangfu approached Jia Yan, advising him as he gazed into the far reaches of the starry sky.

But he found that Jia Yan wasn’t looking in the direction where Er Tian’s Forces or the Wolf Star Force had left.

Instead, he was staring into the distant starry sky, seemingly with a special expression.

He paused for a moment, then heard Jia Yan inexplicably ask, ”Lord Bi Huangfu, how big do you think this universe is?”

”Uh... it’s probably very big, I guess. The creatures of our Milky Way fight and die, only confined to the Milky Way. Even for a Galactic Level Powerhouse, in the grand scheme of the universe, we are still just little bugs.” Bi Huangfu said.

”Yes, even a Galactic Level Powerhouse is just a little bug.” Nobody knew what Jia Yan was thinking at the moment.

Then Jia Yan turned his head back, as if the previous conversation had never happened, and flew back.

”Lord Bi Huangfu, I need your full cooperation with Wu Ci Power for the preparations of the battle half a year from now. Are you willing?” he asked while flying.

”No problem.” Bi Huangfu promptly replied, then hesitated a bit as he looked at Jia Yan and asked, ”But... are you really confident that you can keep your life under King Naer’s hand half a year from now?”

”Keep my life?” Jia Yan glanced at Bi Huangfu indifferently, then shook his head.

Just when Bi Huangfu thought he meant no guarranty, he heard Jia Yan continue to say: ”Wrong, it’s not about keeping my life; it’s about defeating him!”

”You...” Bi Huangfu’s face froze, and just as he was about to say something, Jia Yan stopped him with a few words.

”This universe, it’s vast. Don’t you agree, Lord Bi Huangfu?” Jia Yan said.

Following Jia Yan’s gaze, Bi Huangfu also looked towards the dark universe in front of him.

Then, as if he vaguely grasped Jia Yan’s thoughts, yet understood nothing at all, he momentarily found himself unable to utter any of the advice or thoughts he had wanted to express.

Meanwhile, in the main base of Wu Ci Power’s star body, at the gathering place for the Dignitaries, each genius venerable of Wu Ci Power looked dumbfounded.

Not only those venerables who worshiped Jia Yan were stunned, but even the new venerables who were extremely uncomfortable with Jia Yan were frozen in shock.

When Jia Yan declared the half-year pact with the strongest member of Er Tian’s Forces, King Er, and thus ended the agreement war, almost everyone in the gathering place of the venerables seemed to breathe a sigh of relief due to the disappearance of immense pressure.

”Haha, kid, did you just say Lord Jia Yan is all talk no action? Come on, get out of the star body. After we welcome Lord Jia Yan, let’s have a fight with me!” said the genius who participated in the star zone war, dragging a new genius who had been extremely scornful of Jia Yan, snarling fiercely.

That new genius knew by now that Jia Yan was not an opponent he could even imagine, and the genius grabbing him also seemed to be not so simple a presence.

To his talent, within Wu Ci Power, he was just an average genius after all.

”I I I I...” He wanted to say something, but nothing came out.

”What’s with ’I’? Get out and welcome the Lords, then fight. If I don’t make you cry for mercy, I won’t stop!”

This small episode was unknown to Jia Yan as well as the other Secondary Powerhouses of Wu Ci Power.

To them, the other Dignitaries were inconsequential; the entire Wu Ci Power was now plunged into the huge predicament of Jia Yan’s fight against King Er half a year later.

Leaving them aside, Jia Yan himself returned to his room.

”Half a year later, challenging the top Semi-permanent star level strong one in the star zone...” Jia Yan thought about this proposition, and the pressure in his heart almost made him feel a thrill.

”Heh, that’s the feeling I want! I’ve been living a little too leisurely lately. I wonder, how far can the pressure this fellow gives me push me?!” he thought lightly.

The goal, half a year later!
