Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 445: Chapter 6: War in the Desert! [Seeking Authentic Subscription]_1

Step, step, step, step...

The sound gradually faded away, from being crystal clear to barely audible.

”Are you really from the Empire!?”

In the house, the woman who had just escaped, immediately questioned the few beings who looked like Auster people, who had greeted her.

She had striking red hair under the fold of her garment, furthermore her appearance was delicate and exquisite, and her body was so perfect that any additional or less inch would dilute her perfection. She was the epitome of an extremely perfect figure.

That was Daphne.

”We are from the Empire, but we have been transformed into this appearance because of our mission, are you really Miss Daphne from Earth?!”

Among the few who greeted her, a doubt-filled counter-question came. They couldn’t believe that she was Daphne.

This woman had sent out a secret signal claiming to be a representative of the Empire from a planet with intelligent life in the distant Solar System.

This had caused a minor ripple in the Empire’s power, after all, her story was too bizarre and wonderful. A representative of the Empire who could not travel across galaxies had managed to reach their planet, something that many of them still couldn’t fathom.

”Yes, I am really from Earth. If you do not believe, we can conduct a life signal confirmation test! But please speed up the process, I have urgent matters to report to the upper echelons of the Empire!” Daphne appeared to have finally confirmed her safety. Her expression eased from the previous tension, revealing a touch of enchantment.

The people from the Empire, confounded, listened to Daphne’s words.

Lifesign confirmation tests are a must, after all, they couldn’t just take the word of anyone claiming to be from the Empire.

As Daphne looked at the ring of Empire people who appeared as Auster people moving about, a corner of her rosy lips raised into a smile triggered by her recent escape...

”Master ... now that I have finally returned to the embrace of the Empire, it’s time to repay you for your previous actions!” With the thought of Big Mosquito’s ruthless attack on her at the last moment, the little bit of fondness she originally had for Big Mosquito was completely consumed.

Big Mosquito, several thousand kilometers away, was oblivious of everything that was happening in the city. As an extremely unique existence in the convoy, it only followed the pace of the convoy slowly.

A hulking object, akin to a small hill, crawled on top of the vehicle. Beside it was Lulu, who had gradually gotten used to the small figure of Big Mosquito.

”So you’re always moving along the equator on this planet?” While listening to Lulu’s words, Big Mosquito asked surprisingly.

”Yes, only near the equator can our plants grow better! But because of this, the Sheriffs take advantage of it. Whenever they want money, they rob us. Such things have happened before, but none of the instances were as severe as this time. They are all bad people!”

As the bunny-eared girl thought back to the Sheriffs, she seemed full of frustration.

The pouting look made Jia Yan chuckle.

It had been over three days since Jia Yan and the convoy had been traveling along the edge of the forest. Three days on this planet was nearly two weeks on Earth. Therefore, by this point, Jia Yan had a good understanding of the weird group.

They were a group that cultivated toxic plants on the planet and were mostly ”go with the flow” type. The small city they had previously stopped at was just a temporary resting place for them, and they usually didn’t stay in one place for more than a month. This was because the ecological environment of the place would be destroyed once they harvested the toxic plants they had cultivated. This necessitated their move to a new location.

There were many small convoys like this one. Lulu told him that there were over twenty to thirty other convoys that they had interacted with.

In a broader range, there were even more similar convoys, either hidden or visible, with an unknown exact number.

”Excuse me, sir, our leader has something to discuss with you. Do you have some time?!”

A sudden, quiet voice surfaced behind Jia Yan.

Jia Yan was not too surprised, as being a powerful organism and with Mosquito’s powerful infrared detection ability, if any organism could quietly approach him, it must be a more potent one. And the one approaching him now definitely didn’t fall into the category of potent!

He turned around and saw an onion-looking being behind him.

This lifeform had a head that resembled an onion and seemed to possess inherent toxins. If they encountered a life-threatening situation, they would spray out the venom that they had cultivated for many years, which could sometimes work wonders!

However, such things were trivial to Big Mosquito, and after hearing about it from Lulu a few days ago, he forgot about it.
