The rabbit-eared alien in Jia Yan’s front leg was shivering, seemingly extremely terrified.

Jia Yan didn’t really intend to save her. Rather, if he didn’t intervene, this small alien would inevitably perish in the crossfire. After that, it would be much more difficult to negotiate with the alien life forms below.

Attacks came one after another, but the Big Mosquito’s compound eyes, gleaming with an alert glint, betrayed no emotions.

He knew that these attacks posed little harm to him. He wouldn’t feel a thing even without the bluish defense, his ordinary exoskeleton defense was sufficient in handling them.

He currently stood on the largest vehicle in the entire convoy. This vehicle was essentially a fallen high-rise building from a small town that had been converted into a massive transport. At this moment, it was the largest vehicle in the convoy!

Aliens on the smaller vehicles were holding their weapons and attacking Jia Yan, treating him as an enemy.

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!——

Wave after wave of attacks lit up. The weapon they mainly used discharged a grey light. However, when it hit the Big Mosquito’s airborne body, it only created a light effect and didn’t inflict any real harm!

It seemed that these arms were probably not even as powerful as earth’s large caliber sniper rifles.

Nonetheless, they could fire continuously. Perhaps, their energy endurance was cumulatively robust compared to Earth’s gunpowder weapons.

Jia Yan was analyzing the combat power of this place when he noticed some individuals moving artillery towards him while they were firing. Seeing this, his compound eyes filled with gravity.

Although he was confident he could withstand such gunfire, the risk was too great. He didn’t come to wage war but rather to cooperate with them!

”Please stop!”

Jia Yan unleashed his brainwave power. By now, he had gained a more intuitive understanding of the combat power of the life forms below.

Of course, the attacks from below didn’t come to an immediate halt. Reluctantly, Jia Yan had to take flight, and then continued to use his brainwave power to communicate.

”I am not here to harm you. I am here to negotiate. Please stop attacking!”

His Auster language bore a heavy accent, but listeners could still understand him.

”Stop!” From the attacking convoy on the ground, a life form that resembled a frog issued an order.

Jia Yan noted that apart from the Austers, who resembled humans, frog-like creatures were prevalent on this planet. He wasn’t sure if there was a special reason for this.

It turned out that the leader of this convoy was this frog-like creature. After it issued a command, the attacks gradually ceased.

Suspicious of Jia Yan, the convoy allowed him to fly to the ground.

He headed towards the frog-like creature.

Around him were about five to six hundred vehicles of various sizes. Given the vast size of the convoy, only a fraction of them had attacked Jia Yan earlier, and some convoy members didn’t realize anything had happened. This was indicative of how vast this convoy was!

Even this was the state of the convoy after being attacked by the sheriff’s aircraft. Initially, it was much larger.

Boom, boom, boom, boom!——

The Big Mosquito landed gently. All life forms around him retreated from this area, leaving only the vehicle carrying the frog-like convoy leader.

From what he could see, the convoy leader was the bravest among them.

Jia Yan also noticed that this frogman showed traces of Brainwave Power, perhaps one of the reasons why he could lead such a vast convoy.

After landing, Jia Yan released the little rabbit-eared alien from his grip. This tiny extraterrestrial being measuring about fifty centimeters didn’t suffer any injuries in his grip, though she was immensely frightened.

With tears streaming down her face — not unlike a human child — she ran towards the convoy.

Poor Lulu, she was terrified to death.

Having only been in the Grey-Yellow Star for about two years, equivalent to about eight years of human life, she had never witnessed such horrifying scenes. The giant flying monster had held her in its grasp, and it scared her.

Watching the little rabbit-eared alien hopping briskly forward using its short and sturdy hind legs, Jia Yan found it hilarious. Surely, people on Earth would find such creatures adorable.

”Mighty life form, we appreciate your help in saving us from the attacks of the sheriff’s flying vehicles. May I ask why you have intercepted our convoy?”

The frogman leader hiding in the vehicle wore a serious expression on his frog face. Although Jia Yan couldn’t discern whether he was scared, anyone who managed to survive from the clutches of numerous sheriffs would likely harbor some fear.
