Beyond Chaos – A DiceRPG

Virot hugged her sister tight, and after all the trouble she caused, the Iyrmen were glad she was so peaceful now.

Jirot inhaled sharply, for she had heard the mess her little sister caused because she needed to go to school, and though she wanted to tell her off, she couldn’t. ‘Just this once, because you are so cute.’

The older one armed Jarot let out a small sigh, glad his daughter was so good at dealing with children, for he was unable to stop the girl’s screaming and crying, causing even the sweet Damrot to cry too. He, too, had almost caused a mess, though had been held at bay, for he needed to smother Monarot and Xarot in his affection, unable to go around to beat Elder Zijin for daring to take Jirot away from him after she had healed.

Gangak’s heart was full from the dessert, for Virot had finally calmed down when Gangak picked her up, the pair embracing each other so affectionately, for how could Virot cry within her arms when Gangak was her favourite nano? Of course, Sonarot had managed to stop her screaming with ease, but it was Gangak who had stopped the tears.

Vonda, who had thought to stop the girl’s crying, allowed the Iyrmen their fun, for she understood that her daughter was so cute, even when she screamed and cried. Her eyes fell to her two daughters, who were so close, the younger girl influenced so deeply by her elder sister, one might have though they were twins.

Konarot rubbed her head, understanding how Virot had come to be raised so, though as she spotted the girl so peacefully sucking her thumb while cuddling against the green skinned girl, she decided to forgive her youngest sister within her heart.

“Aboo!” Xarot called out, tossing a tiny pea to one side in excitement, before turning to look up at his greatfather. He cackled, though not in the way of his elder sisters, but in the way of an innocent boy, who hadn’t realised he had tossed up the morsel.

“Xarot?”

The boy froze in shock as his greatfather called for him, the pair holding their gazes for a long moment, until the boy finally flushed red, sucking his hand shyly as his greatfather showered him in attention.

Jarot’s heart ached, for how could his greatchildren all be so cute?

“Jirot?” Jitool called, offering the girl a bit of bread, smiling so innocently.

“Thank you, kako,” Jirot said, reaching up to tear the bread in three, offering a bite to her brother, before feeding Virot, and then even Jitool, before feeding herself.

Jitool chewed on the bread for a moment, pausing, realising she was the one meant to feed her nieces and nephews, so she called for more bread, and of course, Lanarot stormed towards them with far too much bread, or as she would put it, not enough.

The Iyr was as chaotic and peaceful as it always was, meanwhile, so many hundreds of miles away, the Order of Five Moons fell into the same.

Adam stood awkwardly, meeting Hasna’s gaze, the woman’s glare slightly befuddled. “I apologise for my foolish behaviour.”

“…”

Adam glanced aside to Kitool, who stared at him expectantly, and the half elf’s eyes dropped to the floor, and he blinked, filling with shame, his cheeks red hot from embarrassment as he caught the woman’s gaze once more. “I should not have tried to fight you, especially when I said I wouldn’t. It was just that, I don’t like it when-,”

“Adam,” Kitool said, causing the half elf to look down at the floor once more, like a son who had been told off by his mother, something that his sons had yet to experience, since they were fortunate enough to gain the wisdom of their mother. “I apologise, for Adam is currently still affected by his grief.”

“His grief?”

“There was a matter in the previous year,” Kitool said, allowing the understanding to pass through the Order, and the threat.

“We shall take it into consideration.”

“If you wish to press the matter, you may detail the events and send a letter to the Iyr, and we shall do the same, to inform the Iyr of the,” Kitool held the Mother’s gaze, “request your warrior made, and we, of the United Kindom, will consider the matter too.”

The Mother recalled the half elf’s position within the business, and she bowed her head. “A simple misunderstanding, I am sure.”

“A misunderstanding?” the woman in full plate asked, stepping forward finally, for if their Mother would not step forward, she would have to. She was, like all the other women around, utterly stunning, though her skin was darker, almost black as obsidian, and eyes like the stars, for the silver held specks of gold, not like the Divine, but one could be easily convinced. “You still possess one of our blades, Iyrmen. The blade belongs to us, we who were her family.”

“It remains with her family,” Naqokan replied simply.

“We were her family.”

“You were,” Naqokan confirmed. “After the betrayal, she was welcomed within ours family.”

“Careful, Iyrman,” the Full Moon stated, her voice holding a light threat, just enough for a young woman.

“You must be careful, for you bow your head before the Shen,” Naqokan stated firmly. “We of the Iyr do not.”

“Your words can cause misunderstandings, young lady.”

“If the truth causes misunderstandings, there are greater issues,” Naqokan stated.

“I expected this from your counter parts, but from you? Who should be so wise?” the woman stated, still speaking down to her.

“We are but one of many who deal with magical weapons, and you are but one of many Orders,” Kitool stated, warning the Full Moon to not take things too far. The air within the Order grew heavier, the group surrounded, and yet the aura of the foreigners remained equally as dangerous.

Adam’s eyes darted between Kitool and Naqokan, and slowly, his lips began to form a gentle smirk. ‘Oh ho ho?’

“What gives you the courage, the audacity, the gall to speak to us in this manner, in our own home?” Full Moon asked.

“You have forgotten,” Kitool accused.

“…” The Full Moon narrowed her eyes, taking the accusation to heart. “The Iyr may have slain a few hundred soldiers, but such is a simple matter. We are not simple soldiers.”

“Adam,” Kitool called, and the half elf rolled his shoulders, his armour jangling lightly as he did, the half elf stretched his neck from side to side.

“Well, well, well…” Adam said, though he decided against speaking the next words, for he had already seen Kitool’s glare one too many times in his life, so he smirked wide. “Looks like elf is back on the-,”

Jurot glanced aside to see Adam visibly cringe, the half elf looking as though he had bitten into a lemon. ‘…’

Kitool was glad he had stopped himself, for though he was certainly referring to something, if he had continued, he may have truly gotten himself killed.

“Okay, look, I’m just here to beat one of you up. You’re the Full Moon, right? Judging by the amulet, which is, you know, the whole circle, while you must be the New Moon? The amulet is almost empty, so I assume so?”

“How astute,” the pair replied, glancing between one another for a moment, before returning their attention back upon the half elf.

“You may choose which you wish to face,” Kitool said.

“Really?” Adam replied.

“Yes.”

Adam narrowed his eyes, the heat prickling all along his skin, and he turned to look towards his brother for support. “I don’t know. It feels kinda scary now that you’ve given me permission.”

“If they have sent you as a sacrificial lamb to protect their pride, I will at least give the courtesy of defeating you politely,” Full Moon said, the woman drawing her blade, long and, slightly curved near its tip, glowing so bright.

“Well, hold on now, I just got here and haven’t had a chance to catch my brea-, ah! You want to fight me when I’m tired because you know you’ll lose, is that it?” Adam laughed haughtily, as though he were a noblewoman, which was far more haughty than a nobleman’s laughter. “I see, I see. I suppose, out of respect for your Order, I can allow you to face me while I’m so tired.”

Jurot leaned in to whisper. “Adam, stop.”

Adam cleared his throat. “That was obviously a joke. I’ll face you, though I’d like to use my niece’s sword, since I’ve already faced a couple of Grand Commanders with it already, and another would be such a lovely gift for her.”

“You have fought other Grand Commanders?”

“Well, yeah?” Adam replied, as though it were obvious.

“Dusk,” Jurot stated. “You should be at your most powerful.”

“It is your loss.”

“Hey, Jurot, how much should I hold back?” Adam asked, yawning lightly, glancing down to Kizwolima, who hid behind the half elf. He rubbed her head. “I’m about to spar with the Full Moon, who wanted to give you such a lovely show! Isn’t she so nice?”

“Oh!” Kizwolima looked towards the woman, who caught her eyes, and the Full Moon bowed her head towards the girl, who retreated behind the half elf’s leg.

“You should hold back a little,” Jurot said.

“You may fight as you please, Adam,” Kitool stated.

“Really?” Adam asked, his heart sinking lightly, since the most level headed of them gave him permission to cause havoc.

“Will you allow them to covet the blade which belongs to Inakan?” Kitool asked.

The Full Moon noted how quickly the half elf’s expression changed, flashing towards displeasure and annoyance for a moment, before their eyes met. It was upon his smirk that the woman thought she had to beat him properly, to teach them all a lesson.

When mommy says you can fight, you get a little scared.
