Beyond Chaos – A DiceRPG

As the first rays of dawn of the new month fell upon the Iyr, the small girl yawned, before sipping her milk from her cup, turning to look at her cousin. She babbled questioningly, and the boy replied affirmatively with his own babbling, and the girl nodded in understand, returning back to her milk.

“More milk?” Damrot asked.

“More milk,” Virot confirmed, and with that, the pair asked their mothers for more milk within their cups.

“Virot, look,” Vonda said, wiping the girl’s lips, before pointing. “Look, Virot.”

Virot glanced aside sleepily, spotting the green and amber, and for a moment she stared, before her face contorted, the girl’s mouth forming a tiny circle as she stared at her mother in shock, turning her head back to the green and amber, her mother once more, before she scrambled onto her feet. “Kaka!”

Jirot smiled slightly as her sister rushed up to her, the girl bouncing up and down in front of her, before the elder sister swallowed her into a tight hug. Jirot brushed the girl’s hair back tenderly, holding her so close. “My Virot, my Virot. Did I make you worry? Oh dear, oh dear! How can I be so silly?”

The older one armed Iyrman flexed, doing his best not to laugh, though he let slip a smirk towards the rest of the Iyrmen, showing off his greatdaughter without a word.

“Kaka!” Virot squealed, the pair hugging close, and after Jirot kissed her forehead, she reached up to grab her elder sister’s head and kissed her forehead in return, still bouncing lightly. “Kaza, is kaka! Papa! Is Kaka!”

Jirot also did the same for Damrot, brushing his hair, kissing his forehead, before she held out her arms for her twin brother, who hugged her tight, the pair swaying together.

“You are okay now?” Jarot asked, the boy’s voice trembling with emotion, relief setting deep within him as his sister held him.

“I am okay, I am okay,” she assured, since Shaman Lokat had promised her so.

“Jirot,” Konarot called, finally hugging the girl, and the triplets each embraced the girl so tenderly, their tails swaying with joy.

“You all missed me too much,” the girl said, tutting at them, but she hugged and kissed each one, until they had caught up upon their missed affections, allowing the girl to charge her mother and all of the rest of her family, who had often visited her, but left her in peace to recover alone.

“Jirot!” Lucy called, storming into the estate, the young woman glancing around awkwardly, but she quickly charged the girl.

“Silly, kako! How can you be so loud in the morning?” Jirot asked, though she embraced the woman close, cuddling up against her bosom.

“I heard you were sick!”

“I am better now, so you must be happy,” Jirot stated, reaching up to brush her hair, as though looking out for the older woman.

“I’m happy, I’m happy,” Lucy assured, feeling the guilt of training so hard that she hadn’t even heard the girl was sick until this morning, when she was told it had passed. She eventually released the girl to Mara, who fawned over the girl, who melted under all the affection she was receiving.

Konarot glanced aside, waiting for a moment, before a figure glided in, noting all the attention upon his greatniece. He reached up to stroke his beard, waiting patiently for his turn.

“Babo!” Jirot called, reaching out a hand, and Malfev’s beard shifted as he smiled.

“My Jirot! Yesterday you looked so sick, but today you look so healthy!” Malfev said, scooping the girl up within his arms, raining down a hundred kisses upon her cheek and neck, the girl squealing and squirming.

“I am tough, like mummy!” Jirot declared, flexing her biceps as her father would, the girl grunting like her greatfather.

“Yes, yes, your mother is so tough,” Malfev confirmed, brushing along her hair tenderly.

“I am tough, and I am smart, and I am beautiful like mummy,” the girl said, sitting up taller, running a hand through her hair, as though exhausted by how amazing she was.

“What about your father? What did you inherit from him?” Malfev asked, while Elder Zijin slowly shuffled his way to one side, to speak with Jogak and Lavgak about nothing in particular, peeking towards the girl who had finally recovered.

“Hmm,” the girl replied in thought, rubbing her chin lightly, trying to figure out what she inherited from her father. She glanced aside towards her brother, who Malfev had picked up and nuzzled with affection, noticing something. She reached up to her ears and smiled proudly. “My ears are so pretty, like daddy’s, not like Manager Jonn’s, because my daddy’s ears are prettiest.”

“Oh ho, yes, since your father’s ears are prettiest, yours must be the prettiest too!” Malfev chuckled, pulling them closer.

“Oh!” Jirot said, realising the truth of what she had inherited from her father. “I know! I know!”

“What is it?”

Jirot sighed, crossing her arms, shaking her head lightly. “I am troublesome, like daddy.”

Little Jarot cackled, all the while his greatfather turned red to stop himself from laughing, while Gangak elbowed his side, almost causing him to wail, but he did his best not to awaken his youngest greatchildren, though the rest gently chuckled and laughed at her words.

‘It’s funny because it’s true!’ Adam had often informed them, even if they didn’t understand his references.

Once the girl was thoroughly adored, the Iyrmen left her in peace to allow her to eat.

“Always washing my hands!” Jirot grumbled.

“If you wash your hands, you will not spend so much time sick,” Vonda informed, repeating her husband’s words.

Jirot frowned, but she washed her hands intensely, not wanting to be so sick again. ‘I am never getting sick again!’

Zijin waited, but after seeing little Jirot scooping a forkful of potato for her brother, and little Jarot eating it, he let out a soft sigh of relief, and stepped away, glad he didn’t need to come up with any contingencies for if the boy continued to refuse to eat, though he would now need to figure out a way to make sure little Jarot would eat without his twin sister. Zijin reached up to his braid, pulling it in front of his eyes, noting how white his hair had become.

It was all because of one particular half elf.

Adam yawned, the half elf wincing lightly, still feeling the beating he had received a few days ago. “Oh, Jurot! Do we have enough silver and gold coinage for the way there?”

“Yes,” Jurot replied, for while Adam had gone on his spa day after his spar day, as the half elf had put it, Jurot and Kitool had gone to procure more pouches and coinage, slipping them within their magical rings.

“Mister Adam, the carriage is big,” Kizwolima said.

“That’s right, haha, it is so big, isn’t it?”

“Is it your carriage?”

“It belongs to our business, you know the one don’t you?”

“United Kindom!”

“Kizwolima, aren’t you so smart?” Adam said, flashing a wide smile.

“Miss Jash did not own a carriage so she had to go on the ship?”

“Something like that,” Adam replied, having offered quite some coin to Jash, but she had refused, wishing them luck in their journey, and telling Adam not to worry as much, especially with the Iyrmen around. “Do you know where we’re going now?”

“Mhmm!”

The noonval sun illuminated the Order of the Five Moons, the fortress built upon the tallest hill, the five black watchtowers, long spires that seemed to reach the heavens, loomed so high one might have though they could see Arisa from the top.

“They are considered the weakest of the Orders,” Dunes said, though he shook his head lightly, and made a face as though he had eaten something bitter.

“Oh yeah?”

“They hold the least number of warriors, in the tens, but each are strong,” Dunes stated firmly. “You will see it is untrue when you meet their current New Moon and Full Moon.”

“So, people think they’re weak because they have the least amount of warriors?” Adam pondered, reaching down to gently shake Kizwolima’s arm, waking her.

“No, they think they are the weakest because…” Dunes wondered if he should say it. “You will see.”

“Why are you saying it like that?”

“You will see, but, you should pay attention to the New Moon and Full Moon.”

“You said that twice, so I’ll keep an eye on them.”

“Not too much of an eye, since they are beautiful, and you might lose yourself.”

“I think you’ll find I’m used to dealing with beautiful women, especially considering, you know,” Adam said, wiggling his brows towards the Aswadian.

“Many hold fae blood within them, thus their beauty is enhanced, and…” Dunes shrugged his shoulders.

“So what’s so special about their…” Adam blinked, having forgotten their titles even though Dunes had said it twice. “Full Moon and New Moon!”

Dunes shook his head lightly, wondering just how bad Adam was with names. “They are both Paragons.”

“Oh!”

Two Paragons in one Order?
