Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 650 Second Part of the Combat Assessment

After reaching the second part of the combat assessment, Chun Hua and the rest of the participants got some time to recover before each of them were matched against someone with a similar cultivation realm as themselves.

Remembering what the elder had said about being eliminated if one lost during the second part of the combat assessment, Chun Hua could not help frowning when staring at her opponent.

As the number of Foundation Establishment Realm participants were already low, Chun Hua ended up being matched against someone in the Second Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm!

Knowing that she would inevitably catch the attention of the elders by defeating someone in the Second Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm while only being in the First Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm herself, Chun Hua could not help cursing at the elder who had arranged for her match.

After all, although there were not a lot of Foundation Establishment Realm participants. Everyone other than her had somehow been matched with someone who had a similar cultivation realm to themselves, it was only her who was matched with someone stronger than herself!

”Chun Hua… Right? Itʼs time for your match!”

Lost in her own thoughts about how to deal with her opponent, Chun Hua was caught slightly off guard when the elder who had led her and the other participants over to the stage where the second part of the combat assessment would take place suddenly appeared behind her and said this.

”Ah!? Y-yes! I will get going now!”

Understanding that it would be best for her to not stay so close to a Nascent Soul Realm Expert and possible invoke some curiosity from the other party, Chun Hua dashed towards the stage located a short distance away from where she was staying.

…

”Are both of you ready?”

””Yes!””

Arriving at the small stage that had been set up for the combat assessment, Chun Hua kept her gaze focused on her opponent. Looking for any weakness she might be able to take advantage of during the fight to make her win with the strength of someone in the First Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm look like an accident, or something along that line…

”Then, the match will start in 3… 2… 1-”

Whoosh~

Bang!

The moment the elder finished the short countdown to the start of the match, both Chun Hua and her opponent dashed forward before clashing with each other at the centre of the small stage.

Whoosh!

Rapidly retreating after the first clash, Chun Hua could not help frowning, while her opponent remained at the centre of the stage, a confident look slowly making its way onto his face.

During the first clash, Chun Hua ended up on the losing side and was forced to retreat to prevent getting injured.

From an outside perspective, it was obvious that Chun Hua was at a disadvantage and her opponent was the stronger one.

Whoosh-!

Understanding this, Chun Huaʼs opponent dashed towards the retreating Chun Hua before launching using a powerful palm technique. Wanting to overwhelm her with his powerful strength and end things in a single move.

Swish~

However, Chun Hua seemed to just barely react in time to dodge the attack before returning an attack of her own towards her opponentʼs unguarded back-

Boom!

”Ahh!”

Directly sending the other party flying out of the stage and heavily injuring him in the process before he had the time to protect himself from Chun Huaʼs attack.

In the end, the fight did end in a single move… But the person winning was not the young man in the Second Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm but was instead Chun Hua who was at the First Stage of the Foundation Establishment Realm!

This outcome not only surprised the outer sect elders watching from the side, but also ended up catching some of the Nascent Soul Realm elders by surprise.

After all, none of them expected for Chun Hua to be the one winning the fight, her winning with only a single move was more than enough to cause these Nascent Soul Realm elders who had thought she would end up being defeated, start re-evaluating her.

”…”

Feeling the divine sense of several Nascent Soul Realm elders lock onto her, Chun Hua could not help shivering as she prayed that none of them would be able to see through her cover.

She had not come to the Star Shattering Sect with any ill intentions and just wanted to enter one of the Shattered Star Peaks without causing any trouble.

However, the entire Shattered Star Peaks being sealed off after the Star Shattering Sect was established and the only way, she could enter the Shattered Star Peaks was through becoming a disciple of the Star Shattering Sect.

Asking them if she, a stranger in the Nascent Soul Realm could enter their sect, was not really an option…

If that was not the case, there was no way she would risk her life trying to enter the Star Shattering Sect while hiding her true cultivation realm!

Deep down, she understood that even if she had not come with any ill intentions, there was no way that the Star Shattering Sect would see it this way. After all, she was someone hiding her cultivation in order to secretly get into the Shattered Star Peaks that had become the core part of the Star Shattering Sectʼs territory…

For this reason, Chun Hua felt a shiver run down her spine as the divine sense of the different Nascent Soul Realm Experts of the Star Shattering Sect examined her from head to toe.

Whoosh~

Although it felt like an eternity, the divine sense of the different elders sweeping over her lasted for no more than a few seconds and it was only when she felt that these elders were no longer paying any attention to her that Chun Hua could let out a sigh of relief before making it down the stage to meet with the elder who was in charge of her match.

”You did really great young one! I didnʼt expect you to be able to react in time and take advantage of your opponentʼs carelessness to end things in a single move! You can move over to the rest of the participants and wait for the rest of the battles to end.”

”Thank you, elder!”

Hearing the outer sect elder at the Peak of the Core Formation Realm praising her, Chun Hua could not help smiling wryly inside her head while she thanked him happily on the outside before walking towards the participants who had already finished their battles.

”Hm? Why is that guy also here…?”

Noticing that the person she had defeated just a moment ago was also present among the people moving on to the next stage of the assessments, Chun Hua could not help freezing for a short moment before she finally understood.

All the people here are either at the Peak of the Qi Condensation Realm or the Foundation Establishment Realm below the age of 18, there is no way that the Star Shattering Sect would just eliminate them like this!

Not knowing what to say after she realized that she didnʼt need to show off and win earlier, Chun Hua had no idea what to say as she could only blame the elder of the Star Shattering Sect for not informing her about this earlier so she could lose her battle in a convincing manner without garnering the attention of the Nascent Soul Realm Experts of the Star Shattering Sect!

However, no matter how much she complained, there was no way to undo what had already been done and she could only find a place to sit down while waiting for the rest of the battles to conclude and the final third assessment to start.

…

”Hoho, how interesting, looks like that young girl has quite a good combat awareness, Iʼm sure she will become someone great in the future! What do you think?” Observing the battle that had taken place between Chun Hua and her opponent, Elder Song showed a look of approval while saying this before turning towards Xuan Hao.

”Hm… She is indeed… Impressive, Iʼm curious how she will fare in the final assessment.” Already knowing that the other party was a Nascent Soul Realm Expert hiding her true cultivation realm, Xuan Hao just rolled his eyes while answering Elder Song.

With the strength that she showed, Xuan Hao was certain that this Chun Hua would be able to enter the Star Shattering Sect without any problem.

Given that she went through so much trouble to secretly enter the Star Shattering Sect, Xuan Hao felt curious what her reason for doing this was, as he planned to secretly observe her for some time to find out.

If he just ignored her and she tried entering the Star Shattering Sect while hiding her cultivation realm, the Chaotic Qi Formation would forcefully remove her cover when she tried entering the Shattered Star Peaks after the end of the assessment…
