Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 618  New Sect Hierarchy

At the same time that the Dark Shadow Demon Mantra was picked up by the young girl from the Spring Flower Sect, Xuan Hao arrived in front of a large courtyard located not too far away from the massive library.

Creak~

Entering the courtyard, Xuan Hao quickly caught sight of the three people sitting around a small table enjoying a light meal. The people in question were Shu Yao, Feng Chen and Zu Fei who were in charge of the construction on the Seventh Star Peak.

”Elder Xuan? What brings you here?” Among the three of them, the first person to catch sight of him was Shu Yao, who had picked up on his presence the moment he entered the courtyard.

”Iʼm just here to ask about the current progress of the sect… From what I could see outside, it seems like everything is already finished outside a few of the larger buildings.” Answering Shu Yao before the other two had any time to react to his sudden appearance, Xuan Hao could not help mentioning what he had seen of the sect so far.

From what he had seen when he had come to deliver the unique cultivation mantra to the massive library, most of the new main sect has already been completed.

Only a few buildings like the massive library and the profession related buildings had yet to be completed. The residential area for the disciples and elders had already been finished, and so had the different pavilions, halls and other buildings for lectures, artifacts, trading, food and so on.

”The current situation of the sect…?” Putting on a thoughtful expression as she thought about his question, Shu Yao glanced towards Feng Chen.

”Ahm! We have already started moving the disciples and elders from the Spring Flower Sect over and will soon be begin moving the disciples from the Flying Sword Sect over. Leaving a few elders and disciples at the location of the old main sects to manage them as branches in the future. After all, it would be a waste to just give up our past sects after building them up over so many years!” Understanding that she was looking at him for help with the question, Feng Chen who clearly understood the current situation better answered the question.

”I see, I will have to prepare to move then- ”

Nodding his head in understanding after hearing that he would soon be moving to the Seventh Star Peak, Xuan Hao felt that there was something odd about the expressions on the trios faces just as he was about to turn around to leave.

”Is there anything other than that?”

Surprisingly, the one to step forward and say this was neither Shu Yao nor Feng Chen, but was instead Zu Fei, who had remained silent so far. ”Yes… Actually, we already discussed with Elder Song and the other important elders from the Flying Sword Sect and the Spring Flower Sect and decided to rename the sect now that we are merging together.”

”So, what name did you come up with? Or perhaps you havenʼt decided on a name yet?” Not really caring much about the name of the sect in the first place when hearing what Zu Fei said, Xuan Hao just felt curious after hearing that they had decided to change the name of the sect into something new after the Flying Sword Sect and the Spring Flower Sect merged together.

”It has not been decided yet… Several elders came up with all sorts of names like the Celestial Sword Blossom Sect, Astral Spring Sword Sect, Celestial Sword Sect, Golden Star Sect, Shattered Blade Flower Sect. However, among all of these, the most popular one so far was Shattered Star Sect that was suggested by an elder called Elder Playing Ghost…

At this point in time, the elder already managed to gain a lot of support among both the elders from the Flying Sword Sect and the Spring Flower Sect and if nothing happens, its highly likely that the name from Elder Playing Ghost will be chosen…” Finishing her explanation of the current situation regarding the battle between the elders who wanted to help in naming the sect, Zu Fei secretly glanced towards Xuan Hao, curious about whether or not he would also suggest a name.

”Haha, the elders sure are creative, Iʼm curious about what name it will end up as in the end.” However, much to Zu Feiʼs disappointment, Xuan Hao did not suggest a name. Instead choosing to let the elders already dedicated to the cause find out a new sect name by themselves.

In the first place, if he joined in to such a conversation, he was almost sure that the elders would end up agreeing with whatever name he ended up suggesting… No matter how bad it was… Given his current status as the strongest person in the Flying Sword Sect.

”There should be something other than deciding a new name for the sect… Right?” Understanding that deciding a new sect name should not be all, Xuan Hao turned his attention towards Shu Yao who looked like she wanted to say something as he said this.

Not letting down his intuition, Shu Yao nodded her head before she began talking. ”Yes… Other than deciding on a new sect name, we also decided to restructure the sect and remake the current hierarchy of the sect. The main reason for this is that both our sectʼs current systems are mainly designed around the strongest elders being in the Nascent Soul Realm, while the strongest disciples would at most have reached the earlier stages of the Core Formation Realm…

In the future, we are sure to have far more Nascent Soul Realm Elders and wonʼt be able to assign all of them as core elders. Not to mention, we donʼt really have a status for anyone in the Domain Lord Realm like myself and Elder Xuan!”

”So, what is this new system that you made?” Hearing what Shu Yao said, Xuan Hao could not help feeling curious.

The current system of the Flying Sword Sect was based on a traditional sect system that was popular in the surrounding few kingdoms, where the Sect Master at the top, followed by the Vice Sect Master, core elders, normal elders, core disciples, inner disciples and finally outer disciples. The Spring Flower Sect had a slightly different system, but it ran on the same principal where the sect master is at the top.

Although this system was fine for new sects that had only existed for a few hundred years, it would not work for larger sects who had existed for thousands, if not tens of thousands of years.

Sects like that would normally have dozens of ancestors whose strength far surpassed the sect master in control of the sect and would have far too many Nascent Soul Realm Experts for them all to become core elders…

For this reason, Xuan Hao was rather curious about the new system Shu Yao had mentioned, as he was almost certain he would end up getting a new position above that of a core elder with his current strength!

”The new system we decided on starts with applicants, the young people who have yet to join the sect and are waiting to enter the sect. Outer sect disciple, new disciples who just joined the sect and is around the Qi Condensation Realm and the Foundation Establishment Realm. This should be where most of the disciples are. After this, we have the inner sect disciple who can be considered the senior disciples of the sect, they should be around the later stages of the Foundation Establishment Realm and the earlier stages of the Core Formation Realm.

Above them are the outer sect elders in charge of teaching the inner and outer sect disciples, who should at least have reached the Peak of the Core Formation Realm and- ”

”Wait… Core Formation Realm for an inner sect disciple? What are the requirements for becoming a core disciple…?” Stopping Shu Yao before she continued talking, Xuan Hao could not help asking her.

After all, in the current Flying Sword Sect, the strongest core disciples were only in the Core Formation Realm, yet now they would all be demoted to inner disciples…? Even without hearing it, Xuan Hao could understand that the requirements for a becoming a core disciple would be far harder than it currently was…

”Yes! In the future, we should make sure that the core disciples are at the very least comparable to core disciples of other sects with Domain Lords in them. From what I know, this means that the minimum requirement of a Core Disciple should be below one hundred years and have a cultivation at the Nascent Soul Realm!”

”Nascent Soul Realm below one hundred years to become a core disciple…?” Hearing what Shu Yao said, Xuan Hao could not help smiling wryly. Given the current state of both the Flying Sword Sect and the Spring Flower Sect, there was no disciples who had reached the Nascent Soul Realm below the age of one hundred. Maybe in the future, his three disciples could reach it, but that was for the future…

”No need to worry about it, core disciples will be different in the future, as all of them are considered to be future sect elders and maybe even core elders! You have to remember that the strength of everyone in the sect should rapidly improve over the next few years and it wonʼt be weird if we have a few dozen core disciples some twenty years in the future. Especially considering how great the Seventh Star Peak is for cultivation!” Not backing down after hearing Xuan Haoʼs doubtful question, Shu Yao proudly said this as if she could she a brilliant future spreading out before her where the strength of the sect had reached a far higher level.

”Okay… So, what about the remaining positions?” Knowing that he could not fight her on this, Xuan Hao decided to let it go and asked her about the remaining positions.

”Ah, following the core disciples are the assistant elders, they will be in charge of managing the sectʼs internal matters and while above the core disciples in terms of status, will not be required to have reached the Nascent Soul Realm, as their job will mostly revolve around managing the distribution of resources inside the sect and other matters.”

Listening to the description of the assistant elder, Xuan Hao could not help glancing towards Feng Chen. ”I Take it that this was position was suggested by Elder Song and Feng Chen?”

”Hehe, it was indeed suggested by me and Elder Song…” Awkwardly laughing after being called out, Feng Chen nodded his head as he acknowledged it.

”Ahm, letʼs continue! After the assisting elders are the normal sect elders who should at least have reached the Nascent Soul Realm, the Core Elders, who should have reached the Peak of the Nascent Soul Realm and the brand-new position of Grand Elder For the Domain Lord Realm, that will be given to you and me!” Smiling happily as she announced her own and his new position, Shu Yao looked towards Xuan Hao for a reaction.

”Grand Elder…? I see…” However, she did not get the reaction she had expected to see. Instead, she had just been met with a deadpan expression that didnʼt really seem to care about the change in status.

”Mou~ At least pretend to be happy…” Frowning as she said this, Xuan Hao could not help rolling his eyes as Shu Yao pouted angrily at him.

”Are there any more positions other than the Vice Sect Master and the Sect Master position?” Not wanting to deal with an angry Shu Yao, Xuan Hao quickly tried to change the topic as he asked this.

”Other positions than sect master and vice sect master? Hm… There are the guest elders who are strong people we could recruit from outside the sect and also the ancestor position for when our hair starts going grey~” Thinking for a short moment before answering, Shu Yao could not help showing a teasing smile when saying the last part.

”…” Not saying anything in response, Xuan Hao once again rolled his eyes. From the looks of it, Shu Yao was in a rather troublesome mood, and it would be best for him to escape as quickly as possible…
