Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 12: True Sword Intent

After Xuan Hao left together with Qing Yi, the examination of accepting disciples gradually came to an end.

Some of the higher-ups of the sect began to select disciples from the list of thousand people. Wen Lu was accepted as a personal disciple of an Inner Elder at the peak ninth stage Core Formation Realm.

As for the Sect Master and other Nascent Soul Realm experts of the Flying Sword Sect, none of them accepted any disciples in the examination. After all, it was quite rare for a Nascent Soul Realm expert to take in a disciple.

Returning back to Xuan Hao, he had just finished registering Qing Yi as his disciple at the management pavilion and now arrived at the entrance to his own pavilion together with her.

”Qing Yi. Iʼm sure your curious as to why I chose you as my disciple.” Turning around to look at the nervous girl following closely behind him, Xuan Hao saw her flinch the moment she heard his question.

”Y-yes, I donʼt think Iʼm particularly talented or anything like that…”

Hearing her reply, Xuan Hao chuckled a bit to himself as he came to a stop.

”hmm… To not call you talented would be a quite unfair. After all, you are way more talented than any of the other people who underwent the examination today!”

”H-how?” Rendered speechless by what Xuan Hao said, Qing Yi looked questioningly at him, waiting for an answer. After all, let alone being the most talented person at the examination today, just in her Qing family, there were more than 10 people more talented than her.

Now her new master said she was the most talented person. Even that Wen Lu, who had reached the eighth stage of Qi Condensation was inferior to her?

”Indeed, though still dormant, you have a divine physique!”

Hearing that, Qing Yiʼ small head short circuited as she just stared blankly into the air, while trying to process what her new master just told her.

A Divine Physique! This was considered being chosen by the heavens themselves! In the entire Heavenly Sky Kingdom, there were only 5 or so people who had a divine physique and all of them were either a genius of the younger generation or a Nascent Soul powerhouse from the older generation!

Didnʼt that mean that she would most likely reach the Nascent Soul Realm in the future?

”The Divine Physique that you have is called the Bright Sun Divine Physique. The way to awaken your divine physique is to consume a special spirit herb called Infernal Heart Grass. The Infernal Heart Grass is a unique and rare spirit herb that only grows in special environment, so it will take your master a bit of time to acquire it.”

Not minding that shocked Qing Yi, Xuan Hao continued to talk about her divine physique as both of them started walking again. Only coming to a stop when they had reached the living area of the pavilion

The living area of the pavilion was split into several levels, a room for the master of the pavilion, where Xuan Hao himself stayed. Rooms for the personal disciples of the master and rooms for servants who clean up the pavilion from time to time.𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

”This will be where you will stay from now on.”

Stopping in front of one of the rooms, Xuan Hao pointed at the room in front of him.

”You can return to your family for now and start moving in. Tomorrow we will officially start your training! Ah, one last thing, I recommend that you do not talk about your divine physique to anyone, even your family. The benefits a divine physique brings is indeed many, but there are always people who will be jealous!”

”Y-yes master!”

Warning his new disciple, Xuan Hao smiled to himself as he looked at her small silhouette slowing making her way out the pavilion and back to her family waiting for her in the examination grounds.

”But this place really is quiet… Maybe I should get some servants before getting any new disciples…”

Scanning his pavilion, Xuan Hao discovered that the only person in it was him. No servants, no disciples, just him.

This environment was fine for him as he just spent his time cultivating silently in his room, but his new disciple would definitely need a few friends to talk to from time to time.

”Ah, but before that!”

Returning to his room, Xuan Hao quickly sat down in a meditative position as he entered his sea of consciousness to interact with the system.

[Side Quest (Complete)]

Rewards: [Cultivation increase of 1 small realm], [Comprehending Sword Intent]

[Redeem]: [Y/N]

Selecting to redeem the rewards, Xuan Hao felt a sudden heat in his dantian as a large amount of qi suddenly appeared and started to course through his meridians. Flowing from the centre of his body and out to his fingertips.

This lasted for a few minutes before the qi slowly calmed down signifying his successful breakthrough to the next realm.

Nascent Soul stage 2!

Xuan Hao felt ecstatic about how easily he had broken through, but before he could celebrate a large amount of information suddenly appeared in his head.

Xuan Hao knew that it was the second part of the reward, comprehension of Sword Intent!

The enlightenment lasted for over 30 minutes this time, as Xuan Hao went from only having comprehended Nascent Sword Intent, to comprehending True Sword Intent!

True Sword Intent was widely different from the Nascent Sword Intent, as True Sword Intent allowed a sword cultivator to cut down enemies much stronger than themselves.

Only when a sword cultivator comprehended True Sword Intent, was he considered to have taken the first true step towards comprehending the Sword Dao.

”Hah…”

Xuan Hao let out a breath of air as he willed his sword intent to manifest before him.

Whoosh

A silver light flashed through the air as an almost transparent energy appeared in front of him floating quietly in the air.

Smiling at the silver light that floated in front of him, Xuan Hao willed it disappear as he felt the excitement of his increase in strength.

He had reached the True Sword Intent Realm! Next step would be to manifest a Sword Soul and combine man and sword into one, this was way more difficult and even in the empire ruling over the Heavenly Sky Kingdom, someone who reached the Sword Soul Realm was rare.

But Xuan Hao did not let this dissuade him. As long as he trained disciples, he would surely reach the Sword Soul Realm in the future and even beyond!
