Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 11: First Disciple

” Impossible! Why did she get chosen? How could she even enter in the first place?!”

Bai Cheng was rendered speechless when he heard the elder from the Flying Sword Sect call out Qing Yiʼs name, he knew how difficult it would be to enter the Flying Sword Sect. In reality, even though the Bai Clan and an elder of the Flying Sword Sect were old acquaintances, the only reason why he was able to enter the Flying Sword Sect was because that elder owed the clan a favor.

The Bai family had been reluctant to use this favor for so many years because they knew that once it was used, it would disappear forever.

To be honest, Bai Cheng was going overboard when he bragged about asking the elder from the Flying Sword Sect to stand up for the Qing family. Bai Cheng had managed to enter the Flying Sword Sect and the elders favor had already been returned. From then on, the elder of the Flying Sword Sect no longer had any relationship left with the Bai family.

The reason why he even dared to say he would take over the matter of the Qing family was because he felt that with the status as a disciple of the Flying Sword Sect, he alone would be more than enough to settle it.

”Is there a problem with whom I choose as a disciple?” A soft voice resounded in Bai Chengʼs ears.

”Who?!” Bai Cheng was shocked and immediately turned around to see who it was.

Upon turning around, Bai Cheng was shocked as he noticed who it was, it was Xuan Hao, the person who stood besides the Sect Master earlier on during the start of the examination.

The pressure that Bai Cheng felt was unimaginable as he finally knew who had chosen Qing Yi as a disciple.

A Nascent Soul expert!

Moreover, it was the one who had just barely reached the age of 21. Xuan Hao, 21 years old, Nascent Soul expert. Just this alone was enough to make all the geniuses present feel inferior.

Qing Yi, herself also felt a sudden rush of happiness when she realized who had taken her in as a disciple. A Nascent Soul expert! With such a strong backing, her Qing family would definitely be safe. After all, even the Black Rose sect behind the Bai family only had a single Nascent Soul expert at the first stage.

The surrounding youths also turned to look at Qing Yi with envy, if they could get a Nascent Soul expert as backing, they would reach the heaven in a single step. After all, even if they entered the Flying Sword Sect, there was still a difference between an outer court disciple and a personal disciple of a Nascent Soul expert.

One was at the top of the Flying Sword Sect while the other was at the bottom!

”Qing Yi, would you like to follow me back to the Flying Sword Sect to officially sign you in? Your family can just stay and wait here in the examination ground if they want to, it wonʼt take more than an hour or two.”

Xuan Hao completely ignored Bai Cheng an instead focused on Qing Yi as he patiently waited for her to answer.

Xuan Hao had told the Sect Master about him choosing Qing Yi as a disciple earlier, and although he had been quite surprised as to why Xuan Hao had chosen such an average person as his first disciple, he still chose to just agree with him.

After all, choosing someone average as his first disciple was also considered fine. He could learn how to teach disciples first before taking in some more talented disciples.

Thinking like this the sect master had informed the elder announcing the disciple chosen by the elders of the sect and the rest is history.

”O-of course!” Stuttering a bit due to nervousness, Qing Yi beamed in joy as she quickly made her way over and stood besides Xuan Hao. Not forgetting to cast a cheeky smile in the direction of Bai Cheng, who was still frozen in shock at the moment.

Qing Chenyi and the Qing family disciples were no better than Bai Cheng and were shocked speechless by how Qing Yi managed to enter the Flying Sword Sect, she even got a master at the Nascent Soul Realm!

”A-amazing! To think Qing Yi managed to get a core elder from the Flying Sword Sect as her master!”

”I wonder why she got taken in as a disciple in the first place. She is not more talented than us, let alone Chenyi!”

”Maybe the elder could see something we could not, he is after all a Nascent Soul expert…”

”Indeed…”

As the disciple from the Qing family slowly woke up from their shocked state, they started to discuss among themselves how Qing Yi managed to enter the Flying Sword Sect.

”How…?”

Qing Chenyi felt a mix of emotions as he looked in the direction Qing Yi had disappeared to.

He clearly felt he was superior to Qing Yi, who, even though she was the clan headʼs daughter, was still so weak. Be it cultivation or talent, he was superior to Qing Yi!

But now what? An elder from the Flying Sword Sect had chosen her over him! And it was even a Nascent Soul Realm core elder!

”Our Qing clan is finally safe!”

Compared to the Qing family disciples who were filled with mixed emotions. The First Elder was genuinely happy with the outcome, as the Qing family no longer had to worry about the Bai family and the Black Rose Sect behind them.

With a Nascent Soul expert backing Qing Yi, would the Black Rose Sect or Bai family dare to do anything to their Qing family?

”Everyone, letʼs wait here until Qing Yi comes back!”

Smiling widely, the First Elder of the Qing family told the young ones as he quickly found a nearby bench to sit down and relax on.

The disciples of the Qing family quickly found a place to sit down as they soon resumed chatting as well.

Qing Chenyi on the other hand just stared blindly into the air before turning towards Bai Cheng as a sneer appeared on his lips.

”Looks like your help is not needed any longer!”

Bai Cheng finally managed to recover from the shock that the appearance of Xuan Hao caused him. Turning, he saw the taunting look on Qing Chenyiʼs face.

”Well at least I managed to enter the Flying Sword Sect.” With those words, Bai Cheng quickly ran towards the entrance of the Flying Sword Sect to sign up.

Qing Chenyi just stared at him coldly for a few seconds before sighing quietly. All he could do now was to wait for Qing Yi to finish registering with her new master and officially enter the Flying Sword Sect…
