Chapter 1477: Chapter 530: Night of the Investors 2 (Tang Song’s Backstory) (2)

”Mr. Tang, Ms. Shen, please wait a moment, the elevator is arriving soon.” The staff member gave a slight bow, their tone respectful yet measured.

”Alright, thank you.” Shen Yuyan nodded slightly, raising the corners of her mouth into a proper smile.

She glanced sideways towards the distant, crowded throng, then compared it to the tranquility and comfort she was currently experiencing, and couldn’t help but feel ripples of satisfaction in her heart.

This starkly different treatment brought about an indescribable sense of fulfillment and achievement.

Earlier, Wang Yubo had already briefed her on the event details, specifically pointing out that Mingjian Capital was a VIP guest institution for this banquet.

Now, she was here as a VIP herself, in the capacity of a ”Special Advisor” for Rongliu Capital.

She touched the silver nameplate on her chest, suppressing the upward curve of her lips.

She harbored a fervent obsession and yearning for upward socialization.

She never thought it would happen overnight, and she knew it would take time for Tang Song to take her seriously.

In an occasion like today, she would follow Tang Song’s lead, striving to present herself and perform.

Once back in Yan City, along with the ties to her close friends, she couldn’t believe Tang Song wouldn’t be moved!

With a ”ding,” the mirrored elevator doors slowly opened, reflecting her exquisitely made-up face and the fleeting ambition in her eyes.

[Next, it’s my turn to perform!]

[One day, I’ll trample those who bullied me underfoot, leaving them to regret, struggle, and beg.]

The elevator stopped on the 7th floor and slowly opened.

As the top floor of the Shanghai International Conference Center, it was undoubtedly the most luxurious part of the building.

The ”Shanghai Hall,” covering an area of 4,400 square meters, boasted opulent decorations and dazzling lights, highlighting the grandeur and majesty of this gala event.

”President Tang, shall we head straight to the registration area now?” Shen Yuyan asked softly, her tone expectant.

”It’s still early, no rush. Follow me, let’s first join the other colleagues.” Tang Song shook his head and took a step forward, his pace steady and composed.

”Other colleagues?”

Shen Yuyan paused for a moment, then quickly followed.

She thought only the two of them were attending the banquet, not expecting there to be other employees from Rongliu Capital present.

Her gaze swept over the crowd in the hall, and the emotions in her heart gradually surged with excitement.

Even the air seemed filled with the scent of power and wealth.

After walking for a while, the two of them reached a quiet resting area on the east side.

Here, away from the bustling crowd, it appeared particularly serene and elegant.

At that moment, three figures approached from the window side.

Leading them was a woman in her thirties, dressed in a black suit, exuding a poised and calm demeanor.

Behind her were two impeccably dressed men, one of whom was Caucasian.

The three stood together, full of elite aura, exuding presence.

Shen Yuyan quickly composed herself, putting on a perfectly appropriate smile.

”Mr. Tang!”

”Good evening, Mr. Tang. I’m the Operations Director, Harlan, Chen Qihang.”

”Good evening, Mr. Tang. I’m Arthur Carter, Senior Investment Manager at Rongliu Capital. It’s truly an honor to meet you in person.”

Shen Yuyan keenly noticed that these three were extremely respectful towards Tang Song, almost to the point of adoration.

Tang Song nodded lightly towards the three and introduced, ”This is Shirley, Shen Yuyan, the company’s Special Advisor, joining us for the event.”

Upon hearing this, the three politely nodded in greeting and reintroduced themselves briefly.

Shen Yuyan responded with a smile, maintaining an elegant demeanor throughout, though her heart was already filled with excitement.

From the behavior of these three, they were undoubtedly financial elites, upper-class individuals, exuding mutual understanding and professionalism in their every move.

Possessing such a team indicated that Rongliu Capital’s strength was far greater than she had imagined.

However, she felt slightly regretful that, aside from these individuals, no other guests had approached to initiate conversation.

Evidently, Rongliu Capital’s domestic reputation was still limited, at least not garnering widespread attention at this venue.

Barrage:

[I just don’t know the specific information about Rongliu Capital, must find an opportunity to look it up properly.]

[That way, if there’s a conversation on-site, I won’t appear awkward.]

[And also to assess Tang Song’s true strength.]

With these thoughts, Shen Yuyan approached Tang Song and whispered, ”President Tang, I’ll head to the restroom.”

”Go ahead.”

Shen Yuyan nodded and quickly walked out.

While walking, she took out her phone and sent a message to her friend: ”Mingchen, are you still at the office? Please help me investigate a foreign company, Confluent Capital Limited (Rongliu Capital), as detailed as possible, thank you.”

Song Mingchen was her university peer; when she first joined the student council, he was the president of the School of Business and Management’s student council.

After graduating, he pursued a master’s in economics at Yan City University of Technology, and now works at a financial consulting firm. They have a good relationship, and he’s helped her a lot.

”Buzz buzz buzz—”

[Song Mingchen: ”Wait a moment, I’ll go check now and send it to you later.”]

Shen Yuyan put away her phone, entered the restroom, tidied her hairstyle, and sprayed some breath freshener.

There were still a series of procedures to follow, including registration, entry, and networking, all of which would take considerable time.

This was her best opportunity to organize her appearance and adjust her state.

She had to ensure her image was impeccable, presenting the best posture for each upcoming stage.

Exiting the restroom, her lips wore a confident smile as she headed back towards the resting area.
