Chapter 1451: Chapter 524: [Taming Anne]

Outside the floor-to-ceiling windows of Green Lake World, the lights of Shanghai shimmered like molten gold on the Huangpu River.

The heavy armored door was pulled open.

”Click, click, click——” The sound of high heels echoed crisply.

”President Mo.” ”President Mo.”

”Aunt Chen, Xiaoxi, good evening.” Mo Xiangwan walked into the room, wearing a faint smile, holding a bottle of chilled Dom Perignon in her hand.

Aunt Chen, the nanny, and Cheng Xiaoxi, the assistant, bent over with surprise and delight.

One must know, this CEO of Tangzong Entertainment has always been stern and unsmiling.

She always walked briskly and decisively, rarely seen in such a relaxed state.

”Where’s Yu?” Mo Xiangwan asked.

”On the terrace,” Cheng Xiaoxi responded quickly.

”Mm, I’ll go keep her company, you two carry on.” Mo Xiangwan affectionately patted Cheng Xiaoxi’s shoulder, then headed lightly towards Su Yu’s bedroom.

”Knock knock knock——” She first knocked on the door, and finding no answer, she pushed it open and entered.

Soon, a gentle melody enveloped the room.

Su Yu stood barefoot on the soft wool carpet, her slender figure outlined in a hazy silver edge by the moonlight.

A violin was tucked under her graceful neck, and the bow gently lay on the strings, as her fingers lightly pressed, letting the melody flow like a stream.

Mo Xiangwan recognized the piece just by the opening notes—”La Vie En Rose.” (The Rose Life)

Romantic, warm, elegant, soothing...

She quietly watched Su Yu’s back, her eyes half-closed, as if she was on a street in France at dusk.

Chilled drops of water from the champagne bottle in her hand slid down her fingers, dropping to the floor with a faint sound.

The scenes of Tang Song’s embrace this evening, along with his words, replayed in her mind continuously.

The violin music gradually ended.

Su Yu lowered the violin, turned around, and with a flick of the bow, her hair fluttered like a celestial being, beautiful and spirited.

”Sister Xiang Wan, you’re back.”

Mo Xiangwan replied with a light smile and a ”mm,” placing the champagne on the kitchen island, then walked to the cabinet to take out two crystal glasses.

The metallic foil burst open with a ”pop,” and she deftly twisted off the cork, as bubbles joyously filled the glasses.

”Feeling happy?” Mo Xiangwan raised an eyebrow and asked.

”Happy, very happy.” Su Yu nodded, showing off the platinum ring on her ring finger, emanating a faint rose fragrance.

Mo Xiangwan glanced at the ring and handed over a glass, ”It’s worth celebrating, congratulations.”

”Thank you, Sister Xiang Wan.” Su Yu took the glass, her fingertips intentionally brushing over Mo Xiangwan’s hand, in an affectionate gesture akin to a feline marking its territory.

This was one of her habits, reserved only for her closest friends.

Over the years, the person who understood her the most was this manager.

Because she cared so much, deep down Su Yu was very afraid—afraid of Anne Kate’s interference, afraid that Tang Song might suddenly change his mind.

Mo Xiangwan personally went to Huaqiao City and accompanied Tang Song to visit the set, providing her with immense reassurance.

”Clink~~” The sound of the crystal glasses clinking together echoed.

The cold champagne flowed down her throat, and Su Yu hummed a tune, her steps like dancing, her dress swaying with the wind, revealing glimpses of her fair thighs marked with fresh red kisses against the night.

”Why haven’t you removed your makeup?” Mo Xiangwan suddenly asked.

Su Yu tilted her head slightly, revealing a mischievous smile: ”My face, my body, all covered with his traces and kisses—I can’t bear to shower, let alone remove my makeup.”

”(⊙o⊙)...” Mo Xiangwan blinked, surprised: ”You... did it?”

”Not exactly,” Su Yu shrugged, crossing her long legs, ”Mainly because it was not appropriate for the setting, as it was still the set, but he was really gentle.”

She took a small sip of wine, the corners of her lips slightly upturned.

Tang Song’s actions today finally plucked out the deepest thorn in her heart.

On her birthday in 2018, she immediately rushed to the hotel after the party, knocking on his door with hopeful anticipation.

But what greeted her was calmness and indifference.

From that day on, he drifted further away from her.

Su Yu questioned herself repeatedly, wondering if mentioning she wanted to ”sleep with him” resulted in such treatment.

For a woman, this was undoubtedly the greatest insult and blow.

Since then, she cried each year on her birthday; waking up scared from dreams about that day.

Therefore, when she found out that Tang Song got together with Zhao Yaqian and Wen Ruan, she felt immense pain.

Yet, today, the beautifully arranged venue, his proposal, the passionate kiss, his possessiveness, his grasp, his caress...

Everything finally allowed her to let go.

”Ting ting ting~~”

The clear sound of clashing glasses resounded intermittently as the two women drank and chatted.

Mo Xiangwan relaxed into the sofa, leaning closely against Su Yu, her blazer mysteriously discarded, sleeves rolled up to her elbows.

The amber-colored wine reflected their images—one elegant as an orchid, the other cool like frost night and Xianyue.

The atmosphere grew more cheerful.

By the end, both were slightly tipsy.

The sound system played ”Por una Cabeza” (A Step Away), and Su Yu pulled Mo Xiangwan to dance around the room.

As the night deepened, they lay back on the sofa.

Mo Xiangwan looked at her captivated face, unable to resist reminding her, ”You’ve been a bit too whimsical and unruly these past three days. It doesn’t match the image you used to present to him.”

”Hehe,” Su Yu shook her head lightly, smiling, ”Sister Xiang Wan, do you remember what he said a year ago?”

Mo Xiangwan’s eyes filled with reflection, softly repeating, ”He said—’When I come back, I hope you’ll see... the real me.’”
