Chapter 684: Chapter 325: Cinderella, First Love_3

“6 bucks.” Qian Lele explained a bit awkwardly, “This sour plum soup uses a rather good sour plum paste, and there’s dried osmanthus added, it’s quite tasty. The lemon tea uses red tea bags that I got from the market, and the lemons are very fresh.”

From their clothes, it was clear they were all kids from wealthy families.

And the drinks on the table, the beer looked expensive, she worried they might dislike her offerings.

“I must try it then.” Zhang Haoyu smiled, picked up a can of lemon tea, inserted a straw, took a big sip, and gave a thumbs up, “Nice! Really tasty! Come on, let’s add each other on WeChat. Send me your stall’s location, I’ll come directly next time I want to drink it.”

Saying this, he directly took out his phone, opened the WeChat QR code and handed it to Qian Lele.

Qian Lele was stunned, hurriedly took out her phone from her pocket, opened WeChat, and scanned to add him as a friend.

Several people around immediately burst into laughter, starting to tease.

“You really want to drink lemon tea? I’m not even going to expose you.”

“You have a crush on her, don’t you!”

“Lele, you’d better be careful.”

…

Hearing the teasing around her, Qian Lele’s face instantly turned red and she instinctively looked towards Ding Yao beside her.

Ding Yao leaned over to her ear and said with a smile, “What are you afraid of, getting to know someone doesn’t hurt, haha.”

She brought Qian Lele over today partly with this intention.

Zhang Haoyu’s family condition was very good, he was also quite reliable, in her opinion quite fitting for Qian Lele.

“I…” Qian Lele opened her mouth but then fell silent again.

Everyone present was somewhat unfamiliar to her, so she felt very uneasy and couldn’t say much.

Because of her family’s situation, she had never considered matters like romance.

Du Yujiao looked at the two who were being booed, her face gradually turning ugly.

Her eyes flashed, she clapped her hands hard and said with a smile, “Hey hey hey, can’t you see Lele is unhappy.”

Cinderella’s target is the prince with the crystal shoe, I’m afraid Haoyu doesn’t catch her eye.

Right, Lele?

Qian Lele awkwardly said, “No, I’m not unhappy.”

“Oh?” Du Yujiao leaned forward, looking into her eyes, teasingly said, “So, what you mean is… you have a crush on Haoyu?”

“No, that’s not what I meant.” Qian Lele bit her lips lightly, her face showing urgency.

Ding Yao immediately waved her hand to interrupt, “Stop stop stop, all of you give it a rest!

“Alright alright, just joking, seeing you two like this.” Du Yujiao spread her hands helplessly.

She was also a member of the Innovative Entrepreneurship Club, very familiar with Qian Lele’s character, knowing well how to stimulate her.

After her interruption, the previous ambiguous teasing atmosphere instantly faded away.

Today happened to be overcast, temperature neither high nor low, indeed perfect for an outdoor barbecue.

Everyone was grilling various marinated skewers, drinking beer and beverages, chatting.

All were college students, talking about school and summer vacation life.

Qian Lele sat beside Ding Yao, occasionally eating some barbecue passed over to her, appearing very quiet.

Although Ding Yao would chat with her from time to time, she still felt awkward and uneasy inside.

They were discussing daily topics like fashion clothing, bars, concerts, private restaurants, traveling abroad, private clubs…

Occasionally talking about their families, all were executives of various companies, or simply bosses.

The lemon tea and sour plum soup she brought, barely anyone was interested.

They were more passionate about craft beer, freshly squeezed juices, and cocktails.

Qian Lele sighed helplessly inside.

…

The wind on the terrace grew stronger, the sky filled with dark clouds, the air with the moist scent of soil.

Qian Lele awkwardly said, “Yaoyao, it’s getting late, and it might rain soon with thunderstorm, I have to work tomorrow, I must go back.”

Ding Yao raised her wrist to check the time, it was already 9:40.

She knew this friend had a very regular routine, nodded, “Alright, I’ll take you back.”

“Or let me take her.” Zhang Haoyu suddenly stood up, “Yaoyao, you just drank Meiqi’s cocktail, better not drive.”

“Uh…” Ding Yao was stunned, then suddenly realized, “Oh right, then it’s troubling you, Haoyu, it’ll only take a few minutes to the normal university’s South Gate by car.”

Saying this, she opened her bag, took out the car keys and threw them to him, “The car is at your east gate’s left hand side, easy to find.”

“OK, leave it to me!” Zhang Haoyu smiled and turned to her, “Let’s go, classmate Lele, I currently have a cold, haven’t touched a drop of alcohol.”

Qian Lele stood there hesitating for a moment, then nodded, “It’s troubling you.”

Though she knew what Zhang Haoyu meant, her thermal box and trolley were still in Ding Yao’s car, she couldn’t refuse.

After saying goodbye, the two got up and walked out.

Teasing and laughter rose again behind them.

Out the door, down the stairs, out of the community.

On the way, Zhang Haoyu chatted with Qian Lele about her part-time job at the café.

Qian Lele was very polite, intentionally keeping a distance.

“Plop—plop—” raindrops fell from the sky, hitting exposed skin.

The wind blew, feeling a bit cold.

“Wow, it’s raining! Finally cools down.” Zhang Haoyu pressed the car key, opened the passenger door of the Mercedes-Benz GLC, smiling gentlemanly, “Princess, please get in.”

Qian Lele’s expression paused, awkwardly getting in.

“Bang!” The car door closed.

Zhang Haoyu got into the driver’s seat, skillfully started the car, and without navigation, drove directly towards normal university.
