Things have started to quiet down at Isa Beauty Salon (Huaiyun Road Branch).

The employees have begun methodically tidying up the beauty rooms and cleaning the public areas.

In one of the beauty rooms on the west side of the second floor.

Sister Li was diligently organizing the skincare products and equipment, arranging them neatly according to category and usage order.

“Sis, have you heard? Our beauty salon is going to start a light medical beauty project. It seems there’s an investor visiting today. But the space is so limited, do you think they might repurpose some of the beauty rooms into treatment rooms?”

Her colleague Yang Liu lowered her voice, asking with some concern.

Sister Li nodded, “I just heard about it yesterday. Apparently, the previous batch of beauticians who quit, did so because of this. Our big boss wanted to pilot the light medical beauty department at the Huaiyun Road branch and even proposed reducing the performance of the beauty care supervisors. In a fit of anger, they left with a few loyal followers.”

Her skills and work experience were very rich, and she used to be a top hand at Yiz Beauty Salon.

If she really needed to find a job, it wouldn’t be difficult, so she wasn’t worried about losing her livelihood.

“Oh, I know about that. Qianqian joined around that time, right?”

“Yeah, that was over two months ago. I wonder how Qianqian is doing now.” Sister Li’s eyes showed a hint of reminiscing.

Last year at Yiz Beauty Salon, it was she who brought Zhao Yaqian on board.

The main reason was that they were from the same hometown, and she found this girl to be sincere and diligent in her work.

When she later jumped ship to Isa Beauty Industry, she kept her in mind and brought her in at the first opportunity.

Back then, she tried to persuade her multiple times, but Zhao Yaqian was determined to leave.

Said her boyfriend had arranged everything for her.

Yang Liu wiped the table clean, stood up, and said, “Sis, I’ve heard from Weiwei and the others that Qianqian’s boyfriend is rich and handsome. Is that true? How come she never posted about him on WeChat?”

“Of course it’s true. He once booked a lavish meal at the Private Banquet Mansion and bought durian mille crepe for Qianqian, and he drove a BMW to pick her up after work.”

“No wonder she left then! Honestly, in our line of work, it’s basically serving others; it’s really not that glamorous,” Yang Liu sighed. “Being pretty sure has its advantages. Back at Yiz, many people liked Qianqian, and quite a few of them were wealthy.”

She was also an old hand at Yiz Beauty Salon, and used to work with Sister Li and Zhao Yaqian.

After Zhao Yaqian left, she was recommended by Sister Li to take over her position.

“Before she quit, we had a meal together, and she said her boyfriend had arranged a place for her to stay and provided her with living expenses so she could live a happy life.”

Yang Liu opened her mouth and lowered her voice, “I heard from Wang Yan and the others that Qianqian got herself a sugar daddy, but who knows if it’s true.”

She said it very tactfully, but the real rumors were much more exaggerated.

Zhao Yaqian didn’t stay long at Isa Beauty Salon, but she made quite a splash.

Especially her boyfriend who came to pick her up in a BMW at night, and gifted her an LV bag and the top-spec iPhone 14 Pro.

That really made everyone envious.

After that, when Zhao Yaqian promptly quit, a few lemon spirits started gossiping, making it a hot topic for some time.

“Creak—” The door of the beauty room was pushed open.

Senior beauty consultant Wei Ziyuan hurriedly walked in, “Are you guys done here? Hurry downstairs to help set up; the boss is coming over, and then there’s the investor!”

Her tone was a bit harsh, but Sister Li and Yang Liu said nothing.

Wei Ziyuan was a mid-tier leader and indeed had the authority to direct them to work.

…

In the reception hall on the first floor, there were more exquisite and beautiful ornaments and decorations.

The marble tiles were polished to a mirror shine, and the crystal chandelier was bright and transparent.

On the tables, coffee tables, and front desk, vibrant flowers were arranged.

The whole hall looked clean and elegant, trendy and fashionable.

Store manager Zhao Qiuli stood personally at the front desk with a smile on her face.

Whenever a customer came in, they immediately felt a much warmer service attitude than usual.

Sister Li and Yang Liu went downstairs, and were taken aback by the sight.

They quickly bowed their heads and started busying themselves in the side hall.

After a few minutes, a few more beauticians came in, done with their own tasks.

Talking among themselves.

“Sister Yan, is the investor coming for the light medical beauty renovation?”

“Are we going to hire doctors and nurses? Then we’d just be the assistants.”

“Will they cut down the size and benefits of our beautician team?”

…

“Can’t you just be a bit more positive?” Wang Yan raised her eyebrows and said, “The beauty industry is continually evolving, and light medical beauty is the future trend.

It can help us grow and retain more clients.

Plus, the project is profitable, with high frequency of use, and can bring more income to our beauty salon.

This is an opportunity for everyone; once the boss secures the investment, things will get better.”

Upon hearing that, the others quickly agreed, breathing a sigh of relief.

In fact, they were all seasoned beauticians, having worked in the industry for many years.

They could vaguely sense the changing tides.

Light medical beauty treatments have minimal trauma, quick recovery, and significant results, attracting more and more people.

Especially the younger generation of clients, who favor efficient and convenient beauty methods.

This was also the competitive edge of high-end chain beauty salons.

Many of their premium VIP clients had switched to other beauty salons for this reason.
