Chapter 683: Chapter 325: Cinderella, First Love_2

Inside the box, besides a delicate and beautiful storage box, there were also some fruits, shopping bags, and gift boxes thrown in casually.

She was worried that her drinks might get crushed.

“Oh, right!” Noticing her reaction, Yao smiled and walked over, pulling out a shopping bag from inside, “This is a gift I brought back from South Korea for you, a pair of Adidas sneakers. They were on clearance, much cheaper than here at home. There’s also chocolate and face masks, all bought on special offer. I can’t use them all, so they are for you.”

And, you can’t say no, the shoes were bought according to your size and you can’t refuse them.”

With that, Yao stuffed the shopping bag into her hand.

Then she put the whole foam box and small cart into the trunk.

“It’s quite hot today, everyone likes drinking iced beverages. How about you come with me, we can have some grilled skewers, chat, rest a bit, and I’ll drive you back to school in the evening.”

She knew Qian Lele well, her friend worked day and night to earn money and had to squeeze in time to study. She must be very tired.

Moreover, her sensitive and self-conscious nature never let her be hurt.

So she specially found an excuse to bring her over, just to let her relax a bit.

Looking at the white shopping bag in her hand and listening to Yao’s words, Qian Lele pursed her lips tightly.

She was silent for a while before nodding, “Thank you, Yaoyao.”

“Come on, get in the car.”

“Okay.”

The engine roared to life, and the car’s headlights turned on.

Seated in the comfortable, soft leather seat, Qian Lele shifted nervously.

She appreciated the kindness, but her heart was filled with anxiety.

Next weekend was Yao’s birthday, and she had been thinking about what kind of gift to buy.

Last year on her birthday, besides a cake, Yao also gifted her an expensive down jacket.

She wanted to reciprocate with a beautiful and expensive gift to show her gratitude.

But she just couldn’t afford it right now.

…

The car stopped outside Huajing Oasis in Yuhua District.

Yao took out a plastic shopping bag from the storage box, packed it with lemon tea and sour plum juice, and locked the car, leading Qian Lele through the gates of the community.

The beautiful greenery and high-end facilities looked like a park.

The community buildings weren’t too tall, and the light-colored structures were very attractive.

Carrying the plastic bag, Qian Lele followed closely behind Yao.

They made a call downstairs, and then took the elevator smoothly to their destination.

“Ding dong~ Ding dong~” Yao pressed the doorbell, and the brown security door quickly swung open.

A sunny, handsome guy stepped out, wearing casual shorts, an oversized T-shirt, and a stylish hedgehog haircut.

“Hello, Haoyu.” Yao smiled teasingly, patting his shoulder, “Has Meiqi arrived?”

“Everyone’s here, just waiting for you. Yaoyao, honestly, why did you have to run to the school again?” The guy complained in a slightly nasal tone, possibly from a cold.

Immediately, his expression froze in surprise, “Is this the Qian Lele you mentioned? Wow, she’s so beautiful!”

Walking inside, Yao introduced with a grin, “He’s Zhang Haoyu, my high school classmate, and this is his house.”

“Hello.” Qian Lele smiled awkwardly.

Staring at her pretty face, Zhang Haoyu beamed, “Nice to meet you, Lele. I’ve been asking Yaoyao to introduce a beautiful girl to me, and she finally did a good deed today.”

“Alright, alright, Lele is shy. You’re going to scare her off.”

With a “bang,” the door was shut casually.

Yao pushed Zhang Haoyu’s back, guiding him further inside.

Qian Lele gripped the plastic bag a bit tighter, looking around nervously.

It was a duplex apartment, looking quite spacious.

The interior decoration was exquisite and upscale, much better than Teacher Jiang’s apartment.

The three of them walked up the stairs to the second floor and pushed open a small door in the southeast corner.

A rooftop terrace of about 40 square meters appeared in front of them, brightly lit.

The floor was lined with wooden tiles, surrounded by flowers and plants.

On the edge of the terrace, there was a barbecue grill, emitting a tantalizing fragrance.

Several young men and women were sitting in the recliners under the umbrella, holding beer and drinks. The table was packed with various grilled skewers, snacks, and cakes.

“Yaoyao’s here?” “Yaoyao!”…

“Isn’t this our normal university’s Cinderella? Finally, Yaoyao brought her out? Haha.”

Yao retorted, “What Cinderella, her name is Qian Lele. Duyujiao, speak properly.”

“Good evening.” Qian Lele nodded shyly.

The one who called her “Cinderella” was Du Yujiao, also a member of the Innovative Entrepreneurship Club at the normal university, but a year older.

As for the others, she didn’t know them.

She was already used to the nickname “Cinderella.”

Her photo posted on the school forum previously had drawn a lot of attention.

Because of her frugal lifestyle and daily part-time job, someone started calling her this, and somehow the nickname stuck.

After brief greetings, they sat around the center of the terrace.

Yao nudged her hand holding the bag and joked, “I’ve brought you some chilled drinks. No need to thank me.”

Qian Lele hastily opened the bag and carefully lined up the cans on the table, “These are homemade tea drinks, the pale yellow one is lemon tea, the black one is sour plum juice.”

Upon hearing this, Du Yujiao picked up a can of sour plum juice and looked up, “Lele, is this what you sell in your stall? How much per bottle?”
