Chapter 521: Chapter 281: Old Classmate, Boss_5 Chapter 521: Chapter 281: Old Classmate, Boss_5 At least for now, Tang Song seemed a good match for Wen Ruan.

Wen Ruan’s lips held a smile, her face always wore a warm and happy expression.

Introducing a wonderful boyfriend to family, colleagues, and friends had always been something she longed to do.

Now, watching him getting along splendidly with her university classmates, her heart felt sweet.

But in Imperial City, at this moment, he belonged entirely to me.

“Ding-ling-ling—” The urgent ringtone of the cellphone erupted.

“Sorry, I have to take this call,” Zhou Bo apologized with a smile, picked up his phone, stood up, “Hello, Zhiyong.”

“Mm-hmm, I’m in private room 210, just come straight in,” he said.

After hanging up the call, Zhou Bo returned to his seat and cheerfully said, “My classmate and colleague have just arrived. He took the train to Imperial City and hasn’t had the chance to eat yet. He lives in the nearby neighborhood, so he’s coming over to join us for a meal.”

“Welcome, welcome, we’ve hardly started eating yet,” they exclaimed.

Everyone quickly stopped using their chopsticks.

A moment passed.

“Knock, knock, knock—” Someone knocked on the private room’s door.

Then, a lean young man walked in.

He looked to be around 30, with regular features and an average build.

Dressed in business attire, he carried a laptop bag, sweat streaming down his forehead.

He looked travel-weary.

“Zhiyong, sit here!” Zhou Bo got up, pulled out a chair beside him.

Zhang Zhiyong uttered an “Eh” and quickly took off his backpack, hanging it over the back of the chair.

Sun Simin handed him some tissues, “Hard work, Zhiyong, making you run all the way back,” she said.

“Thanks, sister-in-law,” Zhang Zhiyong replied with a smile, “I didn’t help much with your wedding to Brother Bo, which I’ve felt bad about, so I must attend this wedding!”

Sitting down, he took a sip of his cold drink and exhaled a long breath, finally feeling at ease.

In this hot summer, wearing these clothes was truly uncomfortable.

Next, he looked up, nodding with a smile to the others at the table, “Hello everyone, I am…”

He hadn’t finished his sentence when the smile on his face suddenly froze.

He shot up so quickly that the chair behind him “bang” crashed down.

Everyone was startled by this spectacle.

“What’s wrong, Zhiyong?” “Is the chair broken?” “What happened?” people asked.

A flush of excitement rose to Zhang Zhiyong’s face.

His lips quivered as he looked across at Tang Song and said hesitantly, “Tang… President Tang! What… what are you doing here?”

His voice was choppy but distinctly loud.

It silenced everyone else.

“You are…” Tang Song frowned slightly, truly unable to recall ever meeting him.

Zhang Zhiyong took a deep breath, his excitement palpable, “I’m Zhang Zhiyong from Knowledgeable’s research department. I’ve been on a business trip at the Yan City branch recently. Last time you and President Li had a meeting at our office, we had a brief encounter.”

Although he said “brief encounter,” in reality, he merely stood up from his workstation with other colleagues to see them pass by.

“Oh?” Tang Song raised his eyebrows, “You work at Knowledgeable?”

“Yes! I’ve also done background checks for your Songmei Clothing,” Zhang Zhiyong gushed, his heart nearly leaping out.

He couldn’t believe he would meet him in such a setting, what a life-changing opportunity!

Zhou Bo looked from Tang Song to Zhang Zhiyong, and said surprised, “Zhiyong, Tang Song…he’s our company’s client?”

He knew that his good friend went on a business trip to Yan City.

And Tang Song with Wen Ruan were there in Yan City, what a coincidence.

Zhang Zhiyong grimaced, feeling an ache in his teeth.

The company had discussed this topic when the corporate equity changed hands.

However, the leaders did not announce the shareholder information and with the business registration not yet updated, so they did not know the specific names.

Later, as the Yan City operations expanded, this young major individual shareholder came into their radar.

The company even discussed him and mentioned his name.

But probably because his friend was too busy with the wedding, he failed to notice.

Zhang Zhiyong nudged Zhou Bo under the table, anxious and excited, “That’s true, but President Tang is also a major shareholder of Knowledgeable, he’s our boss!”

Upon hearing this, Zhou Bo’s mind buzzed, the scene in front of him blurring.

Sun Simin abruptly stood up, her face wearing an expression filled with surprise.

The others also turned their heads incredulously toward Tang Song.

Thanks to Sun Simin, they all knew about Knowledgeable.

A renowned consultancy and management firm backed by DJRH and Meditation Capital.

Tang Song was a major shareholder of Knowledgeable?
