Charm point maxed out, inheriting game assets

Chapter 513: Chapter 278 Listening to the Wind_3 Chapter 513: Chapter 278 Listening to the Wind_3 [Zhao Wenyu: “Yuyan, I asked around for you. Songmei Clothing has been recruiting like crazy recently, and they’ve even hired a specialized HR consulting firm, Knowledgeable. They now have nearly 80 employees.”]

[Zhao Wenyu: “The scariest part is, they occupy the entire 30th floor of the Cloud Stream Building, a whole floor for their offices. I just found out from other classmates! Damn, Mengting’s company is really kicking ass! I’ll ask around and see if her company could use a copy editor like me!”]

Below were some photographs.

Luxurious office environments, numerous employees, extravagant live broadcast rooms…

Shen Yuyan pursed her lips, her gaze complex as she looked out the window.

Her own entrepreneurial endeavor was far from as glamorous as it seemed.

Youjie Housekeeping started as a small team of just six people, mainly handling intermediary work.

It was about connecting clients from Uncle Zhang Tianqi’s side with housekeeping staff.

The office was located in Yan City University’s incubator for student entrepreneurship.

Little by little, the scale expanded until last year when they finally secured their own office space.

It was in a seven-story old commercial building facing the street in the West Bridge district.

Inside were hundreds of small companies clustered together.

The environment, property management, facilities, location—in comparison to Songmei Clothing, it was like night and day.

Reflecting on her own hardships along the way and looking at the current state of Gao Mengting and Guo Liuyuan.

In that moment, the intense feelings of regret and dissatisfaction resurfaced.

The best opportunity had just slipped through her fingers.

“Yuyan, what’s wrong?” Zhang Tianqi raised his eyebrows across from her, “You don’t seem happy. Why not?”

As the founder of Youjie Housekeeping, even though he wasn’t particularly attached to this business, a successful financing round and a valuation of 20 million were undoubtedly very satisfactory results.

Even the old man at home had given him a great deal of affirmation, very pleased with him.

Li Meixia, Wang Ning, and the others need not be mentioned; they were still excitedly discussing the next development plans in the group chat.

On the other hand, Shen Yuyan, who had always been the most eager for financing, had been behaving very unusually these past few days.

“It’s nothing,” Shen Yuyan bowed her head, speaking softly, “I really should be happy.”

At the end of the day, it was just dissatisfaction.

Actually, to look at it optimistically, the partnership with Win-win Technology wasn’t a bad choice either.

The projects and business could complement each other.

This collaboration was a win-win situation in every sense.

Zhang Tianqi regarded the fresh and pretty School Beauty Shen across from him, fell silent for a moment, then suddenly said, “After this round of financing, my elders at home are very satisfied with me, and they have also expressed their admiration for having an outstanding partner like you.

Our family’s food factory is about to expand, and I’ll probably shift my focus to family business in the future. I will be stepping down as the general manager of Youjie Housekeeping, and from then on, it’s all up to you.

Don’t worry, I will definitely keep supporting you. Together, our shares add up to 53%, and the addition of Win-win Technology won’t have an impact on you.”

He was already 26 this year, and now that his personal capabilities had been proven, it was time to return to the regular track.

After all, the family business in the manufacturing sector could bring connections, social status, that this small housekeeping company couldn’t compare with.

Keeping Youjie Housekeeping as it was would be fine, and if it really took off, he would be delighted to see it succeed.

Upon hearing his words, a new fighting spirit rekindled in Shen Yuyan’s heart.

Zhang Tianqi was the type of partner who was quite laissez-faire; though he didn’t hold her back, he couldn’t offer much active support to her current situation either.

Now that the financing was successful, once she returned, she would become the official head, completely managing the company.

Maybe she could use this opportunity to rapidly develop Youjie Housekeeping.

Striving to grow the business fast, so she could cash out and pivot to a new arena.

Looking at Zhang Tianqi across her, she said sincerely, “Thank you, Tianqi, and I wish you all the best in your upcoming work.”

“There’s another thing,” Zhang Tianqi touched the wristwatch on his hand, “In a while I might be getting engaged, to someone you’ve met before.”

Shen Yuyan asked in surprise, “Is it that Lin Lu?”

“Yes! It’s her.”

“Congratulations, congratulations; I always thought you two were a good match! A perfect pair, both in backgrounds and personality. When you get married, I’ll give you a big red envelope.”

“Heh, I’ll be waiting for it then,” Zhang Tianqi leaned back, his brows smiling, exuding a relaxed demeanor.

To say that he never had any thoughts about Shen Yuyan would be impossible; she was too dazzling during their university days.

In the dormitory, on forums, everywhere there was talk about her.

Every guy had thought about her at some point.

But he was a person of very Zen-like nature, and after understanding the true thoughts of Shen Yuyan, seeing clearly her ambitions, he decisively gave up.

He felt that he couldn’t possibly hold on to such a woman.

Her role models were Jin Meixiao and Ouyang Xianyue, the former being the executive director and president of Smile Holding, the latter the chairwoman of TY Precision.

She had always been working toward this goal.

The execution and ambition she displayed were too intense, dazzlingly intense.

Definitely not the kind of woman who lives a down-to-earth life. If you can’t satisfy her, conquer her, then you’d better not provoke her.

However, such a girl was quite suitable to be a friend, a business partner.

This was also the reason he invited her to start a business together two years ago.

As it turned out, he was right.

Youjie Housekeeping developed much faster than he had imagined and indirectly allowed him to earn a lot of face with his father and grandfather.

On this point, he looked down upon Hou Shaoyuan.

Investing purely for the sake of chasing girls, tying work and personal feelings together.

Zhang Tianqi looked at the school beauty whose fighting spirit was rekindled, whose eyes were bright and clear.

He was curious to know what kind of man could wrap up her great ambitions, satisfy her desires, even conquer her.

At any rate, up to now, he had not seen such a man.

The train slowly came to a stop at Yan City Station.

Zhang Tianqi inserted a bookmark, closing the book “Hear the Wind Sing” in his hand and looked out towards the platform through the window.

Everyone is moving along their predetermined path, with only the destination unknown and many storms along the way.

So, listen to nature and your heart, go with the flow of time, enjoy the present.

Just listen to the wind sing.

Wishing this business partner good luck!

And wishing myself an early inheritance of the family business!

…

June 30, 2023, Friday.

In a high-end apartment in Shen City.

“Tap, tap, tap—” Zhen Yu, the work assistant, quickly walked over and spoke in a low voice, “Chairman Su, Ji Qiuyu from Star Cloud International has sent a message. Wen Ruan has actively sought someone to deliver her resume, hoping to take a position at the Star Cloud International’s Yan City branch.”

Upon hearing this, Su Yu immediately stopped his paintbrush.

After wiping his hands with a wet towel, he stood up and walked around the room for a while.

Looking at the drawing on the paper, it seemed he had made up his mind about something.

He turned around, his eyes bright and spirited as he asked, “How are things on Light and Shadow Media’s side?”

Zhen Yu spoke quietly, “It’s quite chaotic. Twelve media outlets, twenty-one clients, have sent notices to stop cooperation one after another. If this continues, in at most six months Light and Shadow Media’s business will shrink to nothing, and Meditation Capital should be making their move soon…”

Then, she relayed the information she had received in detail.

As a well-known cultural media company based in Yan Province, Light and Shadow Media’s main branches are in various cities of Yan Province.

Beyond that, they also have small-scale subsidiaries in both Imperial City and Shanghai.

Such a company actually had influence.

If it hadn’t been for Tangzong Entertainment, Smile Holding, and Meditation Capital making consecutive moves, it never would have become so embarrassed.

Su Yu’s eyebrows lifted slightly as she spoke softly, “Notify Li Mohai of Star Cloud International to directly acquire Light and Shadow Media. Offer a fair price and reach cooperation as soon as possible. The Yan City headquarters of Light and Shadow Media can act as a subsidiary of Star Cloud International. Also, have Ji Qiuyu contact Wen Ruan as soon as possible!”

“All right, Chairman Su.”

“Also, help me make an appointment with Ms. Ouyang. She just returned to Shen City last night, let’s set the time for this evening.”

“Got it, I’ll go and arrange it right away.”

Watching the assistant leave, Su Yu walked over to the window and opened it slightly.

She squinted lightly, allowing the morning breeze to blow in.
