Charm point maxed out, inheriting game assets

Chapter 504: Chapter 276 Wen Ruan and Shen Yuyan_2 Chapter 504: Chapter 276 Wen Ruan and Shen Yuyan_2 After the incident at Meigou Technology yesterday, Liu Chuanzheng found himself in an extremely awkward and embarrassing situation.

He lost all face within the company.

Not to mention being promoted to vice president, whether he could continue to be the general manager of the branch office was still up in the air.

Li Xuechao, who was in charge of the company’s brand business, often went to Imperial City on business trips and was on good terms with Liu Chuanzheng privately.

That’s why he would bring it up at this moment, trying to help clear Liu Chuanzheng’s name a bit.

Zhang Shun tapped the table, his gaze shifting.

He was pondering over what arrangements to make for Liu Chuanzheng.

“Knock, knock, knock—” the conference room door was knocked.

The president’s assistant walked in quickly, “President Zhang, President Bai from Meditation Capital is here! He has been arranged in the reception room!”

In an instant, there was a continuous sound of chairs moving and people standing up.

Everyone stood up.

Following that, led by Zhang Shun, the five directors quickly walked towards the reception room.

“President Bai! Good afternoon!” “Lawyer Zhao.” “Manager Wang.”

After exchanging pleasantries, everyone sat down on the sofas.

Zhang Shun crossed his hands and said nervously, “President Bai, regarding the changes with our clients and media, your company must already be aware. Given that we are currently in a critical period of negotiation, could we ask Meditation Capital to help us contact the media and mediate the situation.”

Meditation Capital was very optimistic about Light and Shadow Media and had decided to invest in the company by both equity acquisition and capital increase.

The negotiations had entered a critical stage, and Zhang Shun could feel that Meditation Capital was truly sincere.

That’s why he took this opportunity to make the suggestion.

With the opponent’s network and power, they could easily solve the troubles they faced.

This was also the reason he had managed to remain composed until now.

Upon hearing his words, Bai Sheng spoke calmly and seriously, “President Zhang, we have come here mainly for two matters. The first matter is that we have decided to suspend the equity acquisition and investment in Light and Shadow Media.”

“This!” Zhang Shun’s face changed drastically, his eyebrows twitched violently, “President Bai, our company has been established for 15 years and has been through many difficulties, but we have persevered without exception. The current problem is not significant, please give me one week, don’t let these matters affect our cooperation.”

Isn’t the purpose of running a company to make money?

For him, being recognized by a top-tier investment firm like Meditation Capital was an opportunity that comes once in a lifetime.

He could not only cash out at a high position but also enjoy the boost from Meditation Capital’s ecosystem.

Bai Sheng shook his head, “This matter has been decided, of course, we are only suspending, as the investment committee needs to reconsider. The second matter is that we hope Light and Shadow Media will conduct a serious review of Liu Chuanzheng, the general manager of the Imperial City branch, for his negligence and illegal activities in his work.”

Immediately after, the lawyer beside him spread out a document.

“Our QJ Law Firm, commissioned by Meditation Capital, conducted a legal risk review of your company and found many problems during the process.

Liu Chuanzheng, in the past three years, received large transfers from HG Media numerous times under the guise of consulting services.

The legal person of HG Media is his cousin, who is also engaged in advertising sales, and has an agency contract with Light and Shadow Media.”

“According to a whistleblower who previously resigned from the company, we got in touch with Liu Chuanzheng’s ex-wife and confirmed that there was interest conveyance involving Light and Shadow Media’s client resources.

In addition to this, Liu Chuanzheng also sold branch office assets at low prices several times, including photography equipment, office equipment, etc.”

Bai Sheng said with a serious expression, “This has involved the crime of embezzlement, and according to your internal plan, Liu Chuanzheng is going to take up the position of vice president in the head office next month, which is a very significant risk and hidden danger. Meditation Capital cannot invest in such an enterprise.”

Zhang Shun looked at the documents one by one, his face terribly gloomy.

As the boss who had been in control of the company for many years, he naturally knew about some issues within Light and Shadow Media.

Especially the issues concerning the head of the branch office.

Situations such as: reporting fictitious business expenses, rebates.

In normal times, these would not be considered serious matters.

As long as Liu Chuanzheng could still bring in clients and profits for the company, he could look the other way.

But now, as the company was in turmoil, they were counting on Meditation Capital for help, and then such a big issue was dug up.

Moreover, due to the conflict with Wen Ruan, this resulted in the cancellation of Meigou Technology’s business.

Zhang Shun, already in a foul mood, erupted like a volcano in an instant.

Liu Chuanzheng! You can go sew your mouth shut!

“President Bai, rest assured, I have zero tolerance for such parasites in the company. I will make him pay the legal price, and will conduct a thorough review from top to bottom to ensure that similar issues do not arise again. I hope Meditation Capital can see our efforts and sincerity!”

Bai Sheng glanced over them meaningfully and calmly nodded his head.

The acquisition would definitely continue, but the valuation and terms would naturally be different from before.

Now, Light and Shadow Media was just facing the first half of the storm; more turbulent waves were approaching, and they couldn’t resist at all, just waiting to be harvested.

June 27, 2023.

Today was a very short day.

We woke up early in the morning, as if afraid that sleeping would waste the time we had to see each other.

We jogged together on the streets of Imperial City in the morning, then worked out for 40 minutes in the hotel gym.

Afterward, we randomly slipped into an alley and found a clean little shop where we enjoyed our favorite tofu pudding, sugar-blazed buns, and steamed dumplings.
