Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3034 Whoʼs At Fault?

”It canʼt be…”

The Immortal Emperors were full of doubt over the Emperor of Deathʼs words. However, they also were of the thought that this could be possible, considering they were nearing the Candidacy.

In the history of the First Haven World, they have had contact with outsiders, but they were so weak that they would be quickly taken care of. But now, even one of them was able to wreck a major power into submission, leaving them anxious and confused.

”So you are truly saying the Heaven Gazing Hall that could be against you because of the Heavenʼs Warriors is corrupted by this man called Accursed Warlock?”

The Earth Dragon Clanʼs Patriarch, Klavius Rocksunder, couldnʼt help but ask, causing Davis to nod.

”It would not be strange if he is here and watching us with careful eyes. I presume that the other two are still here in disguise, although I may be wrong.”

”…”

His words left everyone reeling with a sense of discomfort. They looked around while panning their gazes, certainly imagining that it was possible.

”What… just what are their goals?” Patriarch Asta Rubyshroud of the Crimson Sangreal Alliance looked inquisitive, ”Why are they releasing these so-called Vacuous Beasts into this world?”

Davis pursed his lips. The three evil outsiders had different purposes, but they were all targeting his family members, causing his lips to curl.

”Probably because of me.”

”…!?”

What Davis said caused the others to be stunned. Even Tina and Bylai were stunned. Shouldnʼt he hide this matter?

”Then, isnʼt that your fault?” Raged an Early Stage Immortal Emperor Beast.

Davis turned to look toward the source of the voice and saw that it was Cyan Soul Rat Clanʼs Patriarch.

”Cyan Soul Rat Clan, youʼre the same as the Fire Phoenix Clan. Just wash your neck and wait for me.”

”Hmph! You think you can do anything against us when you admitted it was because of you theyʼre here?”

”Canʼt your small brain understand what this means?”

Davis closed his lips and laughed, looking at the Cyan Soul Rat Clanʼs Patriarch with a mocking gaze.

His expression caused everyoneʼs gaze to flicker.

ʼHeʼs not afraid to make an enemy out of us anymore…ʼ

Simultaneously, they couldnʼt help but remember him boldly threatening Wicked Tamer Jaxon Harrow to a one-hit duel that would end in both their lives being reaped. Was he kidding? A bluff?

However, their instincts told them that it wasnʼt any empty threat.

Looking at their wary expressions, Davis kept his calm smile.

”I have never met their true bodies in my life, nor have I offended them. Iʼm being targeted for my specialty, offending me. After all, how many people in this world can control life and death other than me?”

”…”

”Perhaps, you can also do the same, try to hunt me for my specialty. I heard that the heavens will even reward you with a mindboggling amount of karmic virtue if you managed to pull it off, so why are you people still hesitating?”

”…”

Davis grinned as he left them speechless. His smile then receded, replaced with a confused expression.

”What? Are you all waiting for the first sacrifice?”

Nodding his head as though understanding their problems, he shook his head.

”Donʼt worry. Iʼll make sure that everyone here dies along with me the moment an Immortal Emperor makes a move against me.”

”…!”I think you should take a look at

Many clenched their teeth and fists as they looked at him with animosity and vigilance.

Threats. Nothing but bluffs.

Thatʼs what everyone thought.

Everyone came to know of his limit when he fought Venerable Warrior Zermatt. Even though they admitted that he was ridiculously powerful, they knew he couldnʼt reach Late Stage Immortal Emperor in prowess.

But for some reason, they couldnʼt let go of this unease that swelled in their souls. It was as though they were afraid, afraid that his words might be true.

The being standing in front of them was an Anarchic Divergent who attracted all twelve Paragon Magical Beasts. If he was making empty threats, would the heavens have deemed that he was such a danger? Or was he making use of that infamous achievement to bluff his way out? He already bluffed his way out using disguises such as Mo Tian.

However, they could never know what was true until they attacked him, but if his words were true, it would be too late to feel regret.

But… A mere Late Stage Immortal King was threatening them, Late Stage Immortal Emperors.

Leaving the shame of it, the fury they felt was nothing short of what they would feel for their parentʼs murderer because he challenged their honor and dignity as a power, yet they couldnʼt make a single move to put him in his place.

”Alright, thatʼs enough.”

An Old Ancestor from the Light Dragon Clan spoke as he turned to look at the Zyrus Family people on the stage, ”Get on with the secret realm. We old fools donʼt have the strength to be standing all day long.”

”Yes,”

Patriarch Yinakin Zyrus replied politely, but just before he began, a blaring voice echoed out.

”I donʼt think anyone who doesnʼt belong in the participation of this expedition to the unnamed secret realm should know any details about it. Since we voted that the Emperor of Death doesnʼt need to be here because of the danger he posed, why is he still here?”

The Cyan Soul Rat Clanʼs Patriarch spoke with raised brows as though he was truly confused.

”Besides, the person himself admitted that he is the reason for this mess, the reason for the deaths of our Ancestors. Are we going to leave him just like that?”

”Ridiculous.” Patriarch Klavius Rocksunder laughed, ”Any outsiders who descend to our world should be taken care of by the major powers as stated in the covenant. Whether they target the Emperor of Death or anyone else, it doesnʼt matter. What matters is we deal with these outsiders before they could disrupt the peace and become a true calamity.”

”…”

The Cyan Soul Rat Clanʼs Patriarch clenched his teeth, not able to understand why the Earth Dragon Clan would keep siding with an Anarchic Divergent. This was even more ridiculous than his own drivel.

On the other hand, Davis couldnʼt help but inwardly smile as he saw the anxious expressions of the Fire Phoenix Clanʼs Patriarch and the Cyan Soul Rat Clanʼs Patriarch. Both were starting to be afraid of him that they were trying to use every manipulation tactics they had to have him killed.

He felt like he was playing with spoiled teenagers who had killing intent toward him at this point.

That was how strong he grew to be, able to take both of them on and kill them in an instant.

However, he turned to look at a woman who remained silent and appeared like she had nothing to do with the situation that occurred before.

Her gaze was serene, not even looking in his direction. However, he followed her gaze and saw a few people, youngsters at the Peak Immortal King Stage, having gathered to talk way before he arrived. They exuded powerful auras, causing his gaze to flicker.

”Everyone, please be patient.”

Patriarch Yinakin Zyrus spoke with a light smile.

”In regards to allowing the Emperor of Death to participate, we didnʼt have a full vote. And a full vote doesnʼt matter because it is we, the Zyrus Family, that owns the secret realm at this moment. We can overturn any vote at any point unless the major powers want to ruthlessly massacre us and put the blame on the Emperor of Death like true villains.”

”…”

Hearing his speech, everyone couldnʼt believe his words for the moment.

Was this… the Zyrus Family Patriarch? This nobody from the wicked path... was also taunting them?

ʼThis guy… he has thought it out by including me in the fray...ʼ

Davis couldnʼt help but inwardly laugh, feeling Patriarch Yinakin Zyrus might be a challenge after all if he were to be an enemy.
