Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 1226: Chapter 1226: Ye Fei’s Anxiety

In reality, the world experiences far more natural disasters than people are aware of. It’s only because of the guardians of the Earth, Sky, and Ocean that ninety percent of them are mitigated. However, they are still human, and there are times when they fail to notice or simply don’t feel like intervening.

For instance, the major earthquakes in the Dragon Nation— the one in Tangshan happened because the previous Earth Mother was at the end of her life, preoccupied with finding a successor, and couldn’t attend to it.

The one in Sichuan occurred because Wang Yueryao had just received the inheritance and could not stop it.

As for the recent tornadoes in the United States, the Sky Guardian simply chose to let them happen as a lesson to certain individuals.

The power wasn’t significant enough to warrant her intervention.

”You’re so mean, Sister Sky. You vented your anger and left me to take the blame. Hehe!” the Ocean girl said, clearly not upset and even chuckling at the end.

”Alright, let’s not talk about that. Now that we’ve taught our lesson, let’s put an end to this storm. I can control the air, but not the water.

While I stop the storm, you should return the seawater it has churned up. Otherwise, it will cause a lot of destruction when it falls,” the Sky Guardian instructed.

”Okay,” the Ocean Guardian agreed, and with that, both women took action.

In an instant, the massive storm that could have destroyed everything and claimed countless lives vanished without a trace, as if it had never existed.

Only the wreckage of the aircraft carriers and warships that had sunk to the ocean floor remained as proof that they had ever come to this world.

The immediate resolution of the crisis made the onlookers even more devout towards the white-robed angel and the later-appearing blue-haired angel.

Meanwhile, the White House was in complete chaos. Although the two powerful beings had stopped the storm before it could cause the most terrifying losses, the damage already done was more than enough to give them a headache.

They had to account to the public, and many had already decided to oust a certain fool from power.

After dispelling the storm, the two beautiful women went to a place where no one could see them. The Sky Guardian said earnestly, ”Sister, let’s drop it this time. That lunatic did go too far, but you must be careful not to cause such disasters in the future. Otherwise, the laws of the universe won’t spare you.”

”I know,” the Ocean Guardian replied, sounding a bit wronged, and then explained, ”But I didn’t create this storm. I just added fuel to the fire after it formed.”

”You didn’t create it?” The Sky Guardian was puzzled. ”Given the current climate, such a massive storm shouldn’t form naturally.”

The Ocean Guardian thought for a moment and said, ”Of course not. It must have been triggered by a fierce battle between two powerful individuals. Unfortunately, I was sleeping and didn’t pay attention to who they were.”

The Sky Guardian was taken aback again.

”Now that Sister Earth has returned, who else on this planet could have such power besides you and me? Did you notice anything when you arrived?”

”Right,” the Ocean Guardian thought for a moment, and suddenly remembered something. ”I sensed a trace of Sister Earth’s power. Do you think it might have been her successor battling someone here?”

”She hasn’t truly mastered the power of the Earth yet; she shouldn’t be that strong,” the Sky Guardian said.

”But since you’re so familiar with her, your feeling is probably right. It’s a pity her successor hasn’t fully grasped the Earth’s power yet; otherwise, we could communicate with her directly.”

The Ocean Guardian laughed. ”That’s easy. If we can’t communicate telepathically, we can just go find her. We’ll know for sure once we meet her face to face.”

”That’s a good idea. We might as well get to know her in advance,” the Sky Guardian agreed after a moment of thought. And with that, the two women embarked on a journey that was doomed to be fruitless.

Meanwhile, Ye Fei and Wang Yueryao had fainted after being sucked into the spatial rift...

It was unclear how much time had passed when Ye Fei slowly regained consciousness. He moved his body and found that his chest hurt terribly, and he was too weak to even sit up. However, this was no problem for Ye Fei.

He took out some recovery pills from his spatial storage and swallowed three of them in one go. Immediately, all his injuries were completely healed.

He leaped to his feet and looked around. He saw that his grandmother was lying not far from him, still unconscious. Her usually dignified and beautiful face was now pale, with a trace of blood at the corner of her mouth. She looked pitiful and vulnerable, a stark contrast to her usual commanding presence.

To be honest, although Wang Yueryao had chased Ye Fei relentlessly and left him severely injured, Ye Fei didn’t hold it against her. From her perspective, his incestuous relationship with his mother was truly unacceptable.

However, even though he didn’t blame her, Ye Fei didn’t plan to wake her up just yet. Who knows if she would go berserk again once she woke up?

After checking on his grandmother and making sure she was not in any immediate danger, Ye Fei put her aside for the moment and began to observe their surroundings.

They were in a small valley, surrounded by towering cliffs that seemed to reach the sky.

The valley was a few miles in diameter, similar in size to the one they had lived in for seven years. However, the environment here was completely different from that valley.

Their old valley had been like a paradise, but this one was barren and desolate. The terrain was flat, with a clear view to the horizon.

The ground was littered with large and small rocks, and there was nothing else around, not even a drop of water. It was unclear where the seawater that had been sucked in with them had gone.

The priority now was to let his mother and the others know that he was safe. They must be extremely worried after he had been chased out by his grandmother like that.

With this thought, Ye Fei immediately took out his phone from his spatial storage, only to find an unread message.

He had received this message during his escape but hadn’t had the chance to read it, as he was preoccupied with checking his location. Now that he looked at it, he saw that it was from his younger sister.

”Bro, the news about you and Mom getting married has been posted online. There are pictures and everything. Get back here and deal with it once you’ve shaken off Grandma.”

Ye Yunqi’s tone was casual, as if she didn’t think it was a big deal for Ye Fei. However, since she had taken the trouble to send this message, especially while he was being pursued, it must be serious.

Seeing this, Ye Fei became very anxious. He couldn’t let his mother face this alone. He quickly tried to call her back.

However, all he got was a busy signal.

This phone was specially made by Ye Fei, with an unparalleled signal strength. It should have worked everywhere except in his spatial storage or places like the valley with a natural barrier.
