Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 1224: Chapter 1224: The Terrifying Storm 4

As Trump spoke, the people in the room began to buzz with discussion. Some condemned him for his recklessness, while others offered support and sympathy.

”Everyone, calm down,” Trump said dejectedly. ”Right now, we need to figure out how to explain this to the citizens. We can’t hide this. Three carrier battle groups, worth tens of billions... just gone like that...”

The cost of the three carrier battle groups was one thing, but the real tragedy was the loss of the officers and soldiers, the carefully cultivated talents, and the countless state-of-the-art weapons that hadn’t even been mass-produced yet. They had all vanished without a trace.

”There’s nothing we can do,” the old man said, closing his eyes in agony. ”This isn’t something we can solve by finding a scapegoat. The only thing I can think of is to resign. I guess my career is over.”

”Maybe that’s the only way...” Trump, having lost his usual arrogance, sighed deeply. ”I don’t have the face to face our American citizens anymore...”

Just as they were discussing their next moves, a meteorologist from the weather service burst in, panic-stricken. ”Mr. President, this is bad!”

”What else could be bad?” Trump asked listlessly. ”What more bad news do we have? Just spit it out, we’re already in this mess...”

”Mr. President, that massive storm is... is heading straight for our mainland,” the meteorologist gulped. ”At a speed of five hundred kilometers per hour, and according to calculations, it’s heading for... our country’s... XXX Aircraft Carrier Base...”

”What?!” The president was stunned for a moment, then completely dumbfounded. ”You just said that the supermassive storm is heading for our mainland?!”

”Yes... Yes, sir!” The meteorologist was on the verge of tears.

”At five hundred kilometers per hour, it’s heading straight for the XXX Aircraft Carrier Base! It’s about... less than five hours until it makes landfall.”

At this moment, everyone in the White House was speechless.

A storm with a diameter of over two hundred kilometers, traveling at five hundred kilometers per hour, was about to sweep across the United States. And worse, it was heading straight for New York City, the world’s economic center!

”What do we do? What can we do?” Despite his arrogance, Trump was no ordinary man, but this situation was unprecedented, and he was completely at a loss.

The consequences of such a massive storm hitting the United States...

”Get moving!” After a moment, Trump finally snapped out of it and shouted. ”Stop standing there like fools. The priority now is to evacuate the people! Now! Immediately!”

...

Moments later, the entire United States was in chaos. People were fleeing their homes, looking for places to take shelter. New York, the extremely prosperous world economic center, was hit the hardest. In just over an hour, it had become a ghost town.

...

Around eight in the evening, the storm was closing in on the U.S. mainland, only about three hundred kilometers from the coastline. At the storm’s speed, it would make landfall in less than half an hour.

When that happened, it would destroy everything in its path!

The ocean was roaring, with seawater being lifted five to six kilometers into the air by the storm and then flung outward, creating a sky full of rain and fog. This was true disaster!

In the face of such a force, human power was utterly insignificant, too small to have any impact at all. At this point, even the most powerful nuclear weapons humanity had would pose no real threat.

Whether they could explode or not was one thing, but no one knew what the consequences would be.

What was certain was that radioactive material would enter the sea, and the changes in the ocean would be something humanity could not withstand.

And the most critical point was that no one could guarantee whether the storm would dissipate or grow larger after a nuclear strike.

So in the face of such a super disaster, even a superpower like the United States felt like a little girl facing a giant.

Whether it would live or die, whether it would be raped and then killed or killed and then raped, whether it would be raped and then killed or killed and then raped, it was all up to the other party’s mood...

In short, tremble, mortals! In my eyes, you are nothing but scum!

...

The storm was getting closer and closer to the U.S. mainland.

People along the coast began to flee frantically, heading north or south. All the streets and alleys of the coastal cities in the United States were packed with cars, and the sound of horns filled the sky. Those who got out first stepped on the gas, driving at least two hundred miles per hour.

It was a real fight for life.

If you didn’t fight, you would die. At least by driving faster, there was a chance of survival.

Twenty minutes later, waves over thirty meters high crashed into the coastline.

The United States had several military bases here, mainly consisting of the U.S. Navy, the U.S. Marine Corps, and the U.S. Coast Guard. There were two aircraft carriers, several nuclear submarines, and other warships, making it a large military base.

But in the face of the boundless power of nature, all of these were as fragile as floating weeds. In just a moment, they were lifted into the sky, spiraling up to several kilometers in height, then rotating into the eye of the storm, where the wind force suddenly dropped, and they were smashed down.

The XXX Aircraft Carrier Base was destroyed.

And the storm kept moving forward, without the slightest pause!

The exact power of this storm was beyond human imagination. It was known that if the direction remained unchanged, it would start from New York and carve a path over two hundred kilometers wide across the United States, leaving a barren strip of land.

Then it would head into Canada, continue northwest, and finally plunge into the Pacific Ocean.

In this way, the two superpowers with the fourth and second-largest land areas in the world would suffer incalculable losses.

Not only would the areas the storm passed through become wastelands, but thousands, if not tens of thousands, of people who couldn’t escape in time would die in this disaster.

An ancient saying from the Dragon Nation goes, ”Heaven and Earth are not benevolent; they treat all things as straw dogs.” The power of nature doesn’t care about the losses of mortals; it will act according to its own will.

People who had fled the storm’s path could only watch helplessly as this towering, barbaric giant brutally invaded their homeland. They were on the verge of tears and, at this moment, utterly desperate.
