Chapter 1030: Chapter 1030: My Senior Sister’s Grudge

Zhu Yuyan bit back a laugh, sighed, and said, ”Nope, that’s a real shame. Otherwise, I could just step down as the leader and let someone else take over.”

”Yeah? That really is a shame,” Ye Fei nodded sympathetically.

Listening to this exchange, Chuchen couldn’t help but blush with embarrassment. He couldn’t bear to stay any longer, so he bowed to Ye Fei and the others and said, ”Master Ye, and everyone else, I’ll take my leave now. See you all later!”

Without waiting for the old Taoist, who had just finished kowtowing and was still getting up, Chuchen quickly turned and walked away.

Most of the martial artists who had come along today had followed Chuchen and Chongdong, so naturally, they all hurried after him once he left. The old Taoist, who had narrowly escaped with his life, was among them.

Jingxu, who had no more business here, also nodded at Ye Fei and the others and left with her group.

In a matter of moments, only the members of the Demon Sect remained.

”Ye Fei greets our senior wives,” Ye Fei turned around, bowed to the three mature and stunning senior wives, and then smiled at Jiang Manjun, ”Senior Sister, long time no see. How have you been?”

”Not good!” To his surprise, Jiang Manjun’s pretty face turned cold, and she huffed, ”I just got injured, remember?”

Ye Fei was puzzled. He didn’t understand what he had done to offend his senior sister. She used to have a good impression of him. He quickly smiled and said, ”Didn’t I get back at that old Taoist for you? Look at how much blood he spat out—it was like a fountain!”

”What about that old nun? She was part of the attack on us, too,” Jiang Manjun pressed on.

”They were just misled,” Ye Fei replied with a wry smile. ”Besides, my aunt is currently at Cihang Jingzhai. I can’t afford to offend them too much.”

Far from calming down, Jiang Manjun’s mood darkened even more. ”So that’s it, huh? No wonder. We’re just outsiders, after all. How could we compare to your family?”

”My dear senior sister, you know that’s not what I meant,” Ye Fei couldn’t help but laugh bitterly. In his memory, she wasn’t the type to be so petty. Maybe she was just having a bad day?

The truth was, even Jiang Manjun herself didn’t understand what was going on. When she first saw Ye Fei appear, she had been genuinely happy, even a bit excited. But he hadn’t even glanced at her.

If it had just been during the confrontation with the enemy, that would have been fine. But even after he had intimidated the opponents, he still ignored her, and he didn’t even acknowledge her when he made the others kowtow. Did that mean she wasn’t even as important to him as his female disciples?

The more she thought about it, the more upset she became, and naturally, she wasn’t willing to give Ye Fei a good face.

Seeing Ye Fei, who had just been toying with the enemies moments ago, now being given the cold shoulder by Jiang Manjun, the four mature beauties couldn’t help but find it amusing. However, they all tactfully kept their laughter in check.

After learning that Ye Fei had mastered the Xuan Yang Art, the four women had subconsciously started to see him as their one and only man. Although, besides Zhu Yuyan, the other three senior wives hadn’t truly fallen in love with Ye Fei yet, this subconscious bias would make it much easier for him to win them over than he could ever imagine.

Unaware that he already had the upper hand, Ye Fei temporarily gave up on cheering up his senior sister. He casually tossed the jade bottle given by Jingxu into his spatial storage, then took out a few recovery pills, dissolved them in a bottle of mineral water, and handed it to Zhu Yuyan, saying, ”Mother-in-law, give this to the injured sisters. Just a sip per person will do.”

Zhu Yuyan, who had personally experienced the potency of the recovery pills, had no doubts. She took them and began distributing them to everyone.

Ye Fei joined his mother-in-law and walked over to the female disciples. He quickly counted and found there were thirty-two young women.

The oldest looked to be in her thirties, while the youngest appeared to be just in her teens.

Each one was as beautiful as a flower. Although they were slightly less stunning than the four senior wives and his senior sister, they were still rare beauties.

The recovery pills were incredibly potent, and since the injuries of the female disciples were relatively minor, they recovered almost instantly after taking them.

Once everyone was feeling better, Ye Fei bowed to the group of women and said, ”Senior sisters and junior sisters, I’m sorry that you all got hurt because of me today.”

A mature beauty in her thirties, who had an air of authority, laughed and said, ”Master Ye, you’re being too formal. We’re all family here. Besides, as martial artists, getting a few injuries is just part of the job, right? And you did get back at them for us, didn’t you?”

”Yeah, that’s right!” The other female disciples chimed in. Honestly, although they had sustained some injuries, having the leader of Wudang kowtow to them was such a huge boost to their pride that they not only didn’t blame Ye Fei but liked him even more.

Coupled with his charming looks that could captivate any woman, their hearts were truly stirred. Some of the boldest ones even began to surround Ye Fei.

Seeing how popular Ye Fei was with everyone, Zhu Yuyan and the others were all very pleased. Only Jiang Manjun, watching Ye Fei surrounded by the group of women, felt even more upset.

Although it was the New Year, there were still guards at the construction site, and surveillance cameras were installed.

After the members of the Demon Sect and the old Taoists’ group had chosen this place as their battleground, they had immediately knocked out the guards and turned off the cameras. Now that they were leaving, they naturally had to restore everything to its original state.

He let everyone else leave first and stayed behind. Once the group had almost reached the highway, Ye Fei quickly took care of everything and then caught up with them.

With the issue resolved, the next step was to settle the members of the Demon Sect. Ye Fei, who had known that the Demon Sect would be moving over, had already made preparations. The place he had chosen for them was his estate, and he had even prepared the houses in advance.

The four senior wives and their senior sister would naturally live inside the estate, while the others would stay in a sizable courtyard he had set up along the southern wall. This courtyard would become the new headquarters of the Demon Sect.

On the highway, the members of the Demon Sect boarded the bus, while Ye Fei had the four senior wives get into his car. He had originally wanted Jiang Manjun to join him, but she was still upset and flatly refused his invitation, choosing to go with the other disciples and elders.
