Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 950: The Origin of the Name

Both mothers naturally understood what Ye Yunqi meant, and for a moment, they couldnʼt help but feel a bit shy, as well as a touch of regret.

Their love for Ye Fei was no less than Ye Yunqiʼs, especially Liu Yiru, the biological mother, who regarded her son as her everything. So, anything that could make her son happy, no matter how wicked, she was willing to do.

Unfortunately, her son couldnʼt experience that feeling with her in this life.

When they talked about Qiao Ya yesterday, the three elder sisters were upstairs preparing, so they had no idea about this little episode.

Therefore, upon hearing their younger sisterʼs words, Ye Siqi and Ye Siyao, who were already sensible and missed their father when Ye Lingyun passed away, couldnʼt help but nod in agreement: ”Yeah, it would be great if Dad could come back to life.”

Ye Yunying, however, thought one layer deeper and said with a somewhat strange expression: ”It would be nice, but have you ever thought about what would happen to the two mothers if Dad came back to life?”

At Ye Yunyingʼs words, all four sisters couldnʼt help but look at their two mature and beautiful mothers.

Feeling the gaze of their daughters, both mothers blushed, but at the same time, a thought welled up in their hearts: Even if that day came, I would unhesitatingly continue to follow my son, no matter how much everyone else might blame me!

The topic stopped here, as everything was just a fantasy. Coming back to life was simply impossible, unless Dad was like Shui Ying, who had only faked her death, but that was even more unlikely.

Two hours later, the car finally arrived at the top of the hill, which was originally nameless but later named Song Wang Mountain.

The name, of course, had nothing to do with any King Song, but was derived from the surnames of Ye Feiʼs grandmother and maternal grandmother.

The two women had been closer than real sisters, and it was because of them that the Liu and Ye families became inseparable friends for generations.

This place, called the cemetery of the Liu and Ye families, actually only had six tombstones so far. There were originally seven, but after Shui Ying returned, Ye Siqi had her tombstone removed. Now, there were only the tombstones of Ye Feiʼs grandparents, maternal grandparents, and Ye Lingyun and Ye Lingtian left.

Since they came to visit their father, they might as well pay respects to all their ancestors, right?

So, the group walked up the hill and first arrived at the tomb of Ye Feiʼs grandfather. It was just his grandfatherʼs tomb. Although it was called a small hill, it was several kilometers in circumference, so it was impossible to bury everyone together.

Originally, the grandfather and grandmother, as well as the maternal grandfather and grandmother, should have been buried together, especially since their era still practiced earth burial.

However, Ye Feiʼs grandmother, Song Xueqi, and maternal grandmother, Wang Yuanyao, had both said before they passed away that they wanted to be buried together, so that the two sisters could be together forever.

As a result, after a hundred years, Ye Feiʼs grandfather and maternal grandfather had to be alone.

Since this trip was a spur-of-the-moment decision and not a proper tomb-sweeping day, the ceremony wasnʼt that grand. The family just bowed a few times in front of the eldersʼ tombs, and each said a few words before it was over.

Next, they paid their respects at the tomb of Ye Feiʼs maternal grandfather. Finally, the group arrived at the tombs of the two key figures who had brought the Liu and Ye families together.

Upon arriving, everyone was taken aback because they found that the area around the two closely placed tombstones was extremely clean, which was quite different from the tombs of the grandfather and maternal grandfather.

It was evident that someone had cleaned the area just a few days ago, especially the tombstone of Grandmother Song Xueqi, which was spotless.

”Maybe someone still has deep feelings for Grandma and canʼt forget her, so they came to see her secretly,” Ye Fei said after a while. Although it seemed a bit far-fetched, there was no other plausible explanation.

Moreover, it wasnʼt surprising at all. Song Xueqi had been a super beauty in her youth. Although Ye Fei had never met her, just looking at the somewhat faded photo on the tombstone, she was no less attractive than her three daughters, who were also Ye Feiʼs gorgeous aunts.

Naturally, she must have been even more outstanding in person, so it was quite possible that someone with deep affection still remembered her fondly.

Liu Yiru and the others nodded in agreement, clearly accepting Ye Feiʼs explanation and not planning to delve deeper.

After all, there was nothing wrong with loving someone, and the unknown personʼs enduring affection was truly touching.

So, the family let go of the matter and bowed deeply in front of the tomb to express their grief, especially Liu Yiru, whose biological mother was buried here. Her mother had passed away shortly after giving birth to her younger sister, Liu Junyi, when Liu Yiru was already over five years old, so she still had memories and feelings for her mother.

Seeing that her mother seemed a bit sad, Ye Fei quickly said with a smile, ”Eldest sister, second sister, I think you two should kowtow to grandma and grandma. After all, your names were given because of them.”

The Liu and Ye families became close friends because of Lu Xueqi and Wang Yuanyao, and since they passed away early, the first and second children of the third generation of the two families were given the names Siqi and Siyao.

Everyone in the family knew about this, so Ye Fei brought it up at this moment to distract his mother and ease her sorrow.

The two sisters didnʼt object and knelt in front of the tombs of the two ancestors, kowtowing three times solemnly.

”Alright, weʼve kowtowed. Ye Fei, now you should also wipe your grandmaʼs tombstone. That person is something. Doesnʼt he know that the two elders were the best of friends? How could he favor one over the other? If grandma knew about this in the afterlife, she would definitely not be grateful but rather displeased,” Shui Ying muttered.

Ye Fei took out a towel and carefully wiped his grandmaʼs tombstone. However, when he saw his grandmaʼs photo, he was suddenly struck by a thought.

He used to visit only once a year, so he had seen his grandmaʼs appearance many times, but he didnʼt have a deep impression.

But this time, it was different because he realized that his grandma looked very much like the peerless strong person he had met on the plane.
