Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 921: Let Her Hate Me

Silence. Long, heavy silence!

It wasnʼt until more than half an hour later that Old Master Gu finally broke it, sighing, ”Letʼs hope this matter ends here.”

Though Old Master Gu didnʼt elaborate, everyone present understood and agreed with him. They hoped that Ye Fei had merely crippled Gu Zheng and would leave the Gu family alone from then on.

The thought of retaliation was too far-fetched to even consider.

After Old Master Gu spoke, another long silence followed. Then Gu Yanping said, ”Grandpa, Dad, you both should go home first. Iʼll stay here with Gu Zheng.”

Old Master Gu and Gu Yanpingʼs father were both her elders, but over the past decade or so, they had grown accustomed to heeding her every word. They left the ward together, each of them deeply worried that Ye Fei wouldnʼt let the matter drop.

Little did they know that Ye Fei had already forgotten about the whole incident involving Gu Zheng and had no intention of seeking further trouble with the Gu family. Unless, of course, the Gu family provoked him again.

Once everyone had left, only Gu Yanping and her brother remained in the ward. Gu Zheng had somewhat regained his composure and looked at his sister with a face full of despair, saying, ”Sis, I canʼt accept this!”

Even though he knew that provoking Ye Fei had dragged the entire Gu family into a dire situation, Gu Zheng, who had always been used to bullying others rather than being bullied himself, still couldnʼt swallow his pride.

Yes, he felt that he had been bullied by Ye Fei, without even considering that the entire mess was his own doing.

Seeing her beloved brother in such agony, Gu Yanping felt as if her heart was being torn apart.

In her mind, her brother was just a well-behaved baby with no great talents.

If he had been attacked, then the attacker must be in the wrong. So there was no way Gu Yanping would let this go.

Of course, Gu Yanping was well aware that challenging Ye Fei was like an egg hitting a rock. But for her brother, she would charge ahead without hesitation, even if it meant being shattered into pieces.

”Brother, donʼt worry. No matter how powerful Ye Fei is, I wonʼt let him off easily for hurting you like this!” Gu Yanping clenched her teeth, her beautiful eyes flashing with determination.

Gu Yanpingʼs rivals all thought of her as a cold-blooded queen, but they didnʼt know that she was a person who valued emotions deeply.

If she hadnʼt cared so much about feelings, she wouldnʼt have been hurt so badly in the past, and she certainly wouldnʼt be making this potentially life-ruining decision now.

Gu Zheng wasnʼt particularly smart, but he wasnʼt stupid either.

Seeing his sisterʼs expression, he knew that she might be planning to go head-to-head with Ye Fei.

For a moment, he considered telling her the real reason. He knew his sister well; she wasnʼt the type to mix up right and wrong. If she knew the truth, she would never oppose Ye Fei, and thus wouldnʼt risk her own life or the entire Gu family.

However, the young master, who had been pampered all his life, was ultimately selfish. In the end, he kept quiet.

To him, as long as he could get back at Ye Fei, he was willing to sacrifice his beloved sister, and even the entire Gu family.

Ye Fei, who was far away in the United States, had no idea that he had been targeted by an extremely astute queen-like beauty.

After managing to calm Leona down, he was in a pretty good mood. But when he returned to Zhonghua Building, his spirits sank again. Firstly, he was worried about Qiao Yaʼs condition. Secondly, he couldnʼt let go of his feelings. It had to be said that his possessive nature as a man had a significant impact on him.

Although he had only shared a moment of pleasure with the beautiful and sexy soon-to-be mother-in-law, he had already considered her his woman in his heart.

Yet, he knew she wasnʼt someone he could continue to possess in the future.

With his mood dampened, Ye Fei had no interest in anything. So when Ye Zhilin and Liliya invited him to tour San Francisco, he declined without a second thought, leaving the two women somewhat disappointed.

But they still went out together.

Ye Fei wasnʼt worried about them, considering their strength. Unless they ran into one of the Four Gods of the Holy War, they could easily handle any opponent.

And even if the Four Gods did show up, with Ye Zhilin around, they could still make a clean getaway.

Two days passed.

According to the lunar calendar back home, it was already the 28th of the twelfth month.

The day after tomorrow would be New Yearʼs Eve. Outside Zhonghua Building, Chinatown was already decked out in lights and decorations, even more festive than the streets in China.

It was quite ironic that in China, the most important festival, the Spring Festival, wasnʼt as lively as Christmas, and most of the people celebrating Christmas in China werenʼt even Christians. Meanwhile, the Spring Festival was getting more attention abroad.

Ye Fei was eager to go home, where his mother and the others were waiting.

But he couldnʼt leave just yet because Qiao Ya had been acting very strangely these past two days. Although she hadnʼt attempted suicide again and had been eating the food that Liu Yunʼer brought her, she remained expressionless.

She would only panic and dodge when Liu Tianlin tried to get close to her. Most importantly, she hadnʼt slept at all in the past two days, acting like a walking corpse.

Although Qiao Yaʼs body wouldnʼt be harmed from not eating or drinking for a short period after being ”nourished” by Ye Fei, it wouldnʼt hold up in the long run. And if things continued like this, her spirit might collapse before her body did.

Ye Fei knew that Qiao Ya was in this state because she was lost and didnʼt even know who to hate. Perhaps the only person she hated now was herself.

So to change her current condition, there was only one way: to divert her focus. Since she had already gotten herself into a rut, he had to find a way to make her hate someone, giving her the motivation to keep living.

And the best candidate for that target was, of course, Ye Fei himself.

So, after Liu Tianlin and Liu Yunʼer failed once again to reach Qiao Ya, Ye Fei whispered something to Ye Zhilin.

Then, with some reluctance, Ye Zhilin went upstairs and entered Qiao Yaʼs room.

Liu Yunʼer was puzzled. If she couldnʼt even joke with her mother, how could Ye Zhilin, an outsider, make a difference? She couldnʼt help but ask Ye Fei, ”What did you tell Zhilin to do?”

This was the first time Liu Yunʼer had initiated a conversation with Ye Fei in the past two days.

After all, he had made her mother climax repeatedly right in front of her, which was something she couldnʼt accept in the short term.
