Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 920: The Queenʼs Hatred

Gu Yanping had arrived a bit earlier and had already spoken to Gu Zhengʼs bodyguard. But the bodyguard only remembered being attacked and then falling into a coma. When he woke up, he was already in the hospital.

As for who had attacked them, the bodyguard had no clue. With no other choice, Gu Yanping had sent him to investigate.

Now, seeing her stepmother ask, she quickly said, ”Stepmom, Iʼve already sent someone to look into it. Letʼs go see my brother first.”

Just as Gu Yanping finished speaking, a few nurses wheeled a hospital bed out of the emergency room. On it lay a young and handsome teenager.

”Sis, Iʼm ruined. You have to get revenge for me!” Seeing the four people outside, Gu Zheng, lying on the hospital bed, didnʼt call out to his mother or father, or grandfather.

Instead, he first complained to his sister, showing just how much Gu Yanping doted on him.

If Ye Fei had been there, he might have recognized the young man.

Gu Zheng was none other than the ”Young Master Gu” who had been taken down by Liliya on the plane.

The reason it was only a ”maybe” wasnʼt because Gu Zheng looked different—it was because Ye Fei simply didnʼt care about this so-called Young Master Gu. He had disciplined him and then forgotten all about it.

What Ye Fei hadnʼt expected was how severely Gu Zheng would be injured. It turned out that Liliya, annoyed by his disrespect to her master, had used a hidden force in her attack.

On the surface, she had only broken a few of his ribs, but in reality, she had destroyed most of his bodyʼs meridians and even shattered his spine.

Coupled with the delay from the round trip on the plane, even Dr. Zhang, Gu Yanpingʼs highly skilled husband, was out of options.

”Little brother, donʼt worry. No matter who it is, I wonʼt let them get away with this,” Gu Yanping comforted him, then asked, ”Do you know the personʼs name? Why did you get into a conflict?”

”I donʼt know his name. I was going to the US with some friends for fun, and this guy had his bodyguards attack us just because we were talking a bit loudly,” Gu Zheng lied with a straight face.

Gu Yanping didnʼt doubt him for a second. In her eyes, her brother was always well-behaved and obedient. She couldnʼt help but say indignantly, ”How outrageous! This is just too much!”

The others also wore expressions of outrage, especially Gu Zhengʼs mother, the beautiful woman, who held Gu Yanpingʼs hand and said, ”Yanping, you have to get revenge for your brother. Heʼs the only male heir of our generation in the Gu family. Now that heʼs been crippled, our family line is at risk of dying out.”

”Stepmom, donʼt worry. I will make whoever hurt Gu Zheng pay with blood,” Gu Yanpingʼs beautiful eyes turned a bit red, not from sadness, but from hatred.

As Gu Zhengʼs mother had said, in her generation, the Gu family had only Gu Zheng as the direct male heir.

Although he wasnʼt very talented, Gu Yanping was holding things together, waiting for her brother to have children and then grooming them to be good successors.

Now, with Gu Zheng paralyzed and possibly even losing his male capabilities, the Gu family was destined to fall into the hands of a collateral branch after she was gone.

As they spoke, Gu Zheng was moved into a private room. Gu Yanping and the others stayed by his side, anxiously waiting.

Although they were filled with hatred, they had no choice but to bide their time since they didnʼt know who the culprit was yet.

But Gu Yanping wasnʼt worried about not finding out.

With the Gu familyʼs resources, it would be easy to find out who was on the first-class flight.

Sure enough, not long after, the bodyguard she had sent out found his way to the ward, accompanied by a middle-aged man. This man was also from the Gu family and was a paternal uncle to Gu Yanping and Gu Zheng, though not from the direct line. He was strong-willed and had earned Gu Yanpingʼs trust.

”Third Uncle, have you found out what happened?” Gu Yanping asked eagerly as soon as she saw the middle-aged man come in.

Gu Zhengʼs condition made her heart ache, and she was itching to get revenge and tear apart whoever had done this to him.

”Weʼve figured it out,” the middle-aged man took a deep breath and said, ”Gu Zheng was attacked on the plane. It might not have been this severe, but the captain ordered that he not be treated until the plane returned from the US. He was brought here more than twenty hours later.”

”What audacity! That captain must be tired of living!” Gu Yanping was furious and slammed her hand down on the chair.

Her figure was so curvaceous that even with just that one slap, and despite her thick professional attire, her large and firm breasts still jiggled noticeably.

Her sexy demeanor would have been enough to make any man instantly aroused.

However, at this moment, none of the men present, including the non-family bodyguard, had the slightest interest in appreciating this tempting scene.

Instead, they all held their breath as Gu Yanpingʼs imposing aura was simply too intimidating.

When the queen is angry, everyone in the room is shocked!

After a pause, Gu Yanpingʼs third uncle said, ”Itʼs not entirely the captainʼs fault. Itʼs because of what the person who attacked Gu Zheng said.”

Though Gu Yanping was extremely angry inside, years of experience in the business world had taught her not to be impulsive. She asked in a deep voice, ”Who on earth is this person that they wouldnʼt even give our Gu family the time of day?”

”Itʼs... Itʼs Ye Fei, the leader of the Lingyun Society... Ye Fei,” Guʼs third uncle stammered. He had been so scared by Gu Yanpingʼs earlier outburst that he could barely breathe, and now just mentioning this name made him break out in a cold sweat.

Before the uncle finished speaking, the ward was filled with gasps. Everyone, including the queen of the Gu family, Gu Yanping, felt their hearts sink.

Especially Gu Zheng, lying in the hospital bed with a grim expression, thinking about how his sister would capture the culprit and torture him. His heart turned to ashes. He never expected that the person he had provoked would be Ye Fei.

No matter how spoiled Gu Zheng was, he knew Ye Feiʼs name. Although the Gu family had a lot of influence in Jin Hai City, how could they compare to Ye Fei?

Jin Hai City and Lin Hai City were known as the Southeast Three Seas along with Wang Hai, but to be honest, both Jin Hai City and Lin Hai City were nothing more than satellite cities of Wang Hai.

The Gu family only had some power in Jin Hai City, while Ye Feiʼs Lingyun Society dominated the entire Wang Hai region. Ye Fei himself was known as the ”King of the Southeast.”

Compared to him, the Gu family was like a small fishing boat next to an aircraft carrier.
