Urban Seduction: Housewives Club

Chapter 822: The Police Flower’s Heart Flutters

Officer Leng Yanʼs demeanor was as sharp and commanding as ever, her face as cold as ice, and her figure as stunningly sexy. But her tone was strikingly different from usual.

Is she running a fever today? Ye Fei wondered, striding up to Leng Yan and reaching out to touch her forehead.

Ye Fei wasnʼt the only one surprised. Leng Yan herself was startled by her tone and froze for a moment. It wasnʼt until Ye Feiʼs hand was already on her forehead that she snapped out of it, instinctively stepping back and scolding, ”Youʼre going to kill me!”

After saying this, she paused again, her usually icy expression faltering as a faint blush crept onto her cheeks.

With great effort, Leng Yan managed to regain her usual cold composure. She addressed Ye Fei sternly, ”Weʼve received a report that youʼve committed intentional homicide. Iʼm here to arrest you. Come with me! You two, take everyone here back to the station for statements!”

The last part was directed at her subordinates, and whether intentionally or not, she didnʼt mention Ye Feiʼs name.

Catching the look in Ye Feiʼs eyes, Gu Xuehan held back her words and obediently followed Leng Yan out to a police car.

Before Leng Yan could say anything, Ye Fei opened the car door, let Gu Xuehan in, and sat beside her, comforting her softly, ”Donʼt worry, everythingʼs fine.” Then, turning to Leng Yan, who had taken the driverʼs seat, he said, ”Letʼs go.”

Seeing the difference in how Ye Fei treated her compared to Gu Xuehan, Leng Yan felt an inexplicable pang of jealousy.

Why is it that after heʼs even spanked me, this jerk canʼt treat me a little better?

”So, whatʼs going on?” Leng Yan asked, her tone even colder due to her irritation.

Ye Fei leaned back lazily in his seat, replying in a tired voice, ”Officer Leng, weʼre pretty familiar with each other by now. Thereʼs no one else here. Canʼt you relax a little?”

”Iʼm always like this!” Leng Yan snapped.

Ye Fei didnʼt answer her immediately. Instead, he introduced her to Gu Xuehan, ”This is Officer Leng Yan from the anti-gang unit. You can call her Sister Leng.” He added, ”Sheʼs a real good cop, the kind who truly cares about the people.”

”Hello, Sister Leng,” Gu Xuehan greeted politely.

Having grown up at the bottom of society, Gu Xuehan had never had a favorable impression of the police. But after hearing Ye Feiʼs last comment, her opinion of Leng Yan changed.

Hearing Ye Fei praise her, Leng Yan felt an unexpected sweetness in her heart, and her earlier resentment vanished. She even managed to smile at Gu Xuehan, though her expression turned icy again when she faced Ye Fei.

”Now, can you tell me what happened?”

Ye Fei didnʼt hold back and explained the situation in detail. After listening, Leng Yan sighed, ”You killed someone over something so trivial?”

”What would you have done?” Ye Fei countered.

”If an ant glared at you and shouted, you could ignore it. But what if it bit you? Would you swat it dead or let it keep biting you?”

Leng Yan was at a loss for words. She knew Ye Feiʼs logic was twisted, but she couldnʼt refute it. Moreover, when Ye Fei mentioned ”swatting,” her heart trembled, and she felt that familiar tingling sensation on her bottom again.

Seeing Leng Yan silent, Ye Fei turned the question back on her, ”By the way, how did you get here so fast? And shouldnʼt this kind of case be handled by the homicide division?”

”I was patrolling nearby and came as soon as I got the call,” Leng Yan blurted out, then blushed, feeling a bit guilty.

Ever since Ye Fei had spanked her last time, Leng Yan couldnʼt stop thinking about him. Sheʼd even zoned out in meetings a few times because of him. She was both angry and resentful, yet there was an inexplicable longing. She kept wanting to see him again.

At night, sheʼd unconsciously touch her bottom, reliving that moment, which only deepened Ye Feiʼs image in her mind.

With the New Year approaching, the police force was short-staffed, so Leng Yan took on extra duties. She chose to patrol the relatively chaotic northern suburbs, hoping to cross paths with the notorious gang leader again.

As for why she wanted to see him, she told herself it was to find an opportunity to teach him a lesson.

For days, she found no such opportunity.

But today, she received a call that led her to him. And there he was, holding a girl in his arms.

An inexplicable pang of jealousy hit her, which was why her tone had been so sarcastic.

Ye Fei nodded, indicating he understood, then said to Leng Yan, ”Alright, itʼs fine. Turn the car around. I need to take Gu Xuehan home.”

Leng Yan was exasperated. ”Youʼre not even going to show your face? How am I supposed to explain this to the victimʼs family?”

”Show my face? Are you going to give me an award for ridding society of a pest?” Ye Fei laughed. ”As for his family, just tell them Ye Fei killed him.”

Leng Yan had no choice but to turn the car around. She was well aware of Ye Feiʼs influence.

Even after killing someone from a prominent family in the capital, heʼd walked away unscathed.

This was his home turf, after all.

Besides, Wu Erqi was indeed a scoundrel whoʼd escaped the lawʼs reach. His death was no great loss. Let the higher-ups deal with the fallout.

Listening to their conversation, Gu Xuehanʼs eyes grew wider and wider. When she saw Leng Yan turn the car around, she couldnʼt help but ask, ”Sister Leng, are we fine?”

”For now, yes,” Leng Yan nodded. ”But you need to keep an eye on him. If he kills someone who doesnʼt deserve it, I wonʼt let him off!”

As they reached the entrance of the alley, Ye Fei and Gu Xuehan got out of the car. Leng Yan followed, feeling an unexpected reluctance to part with Ye Fei. She blurted out, ”Remember, donʼt let me catch you again!”

”Got it!” Ye Fei said with a laugh, then suddenly reached out and gave Leng Yanʼs full, round buttocks a firm slap.

”Oh…” Leng Yan couldnʼt help but let out a soft moan, her body trembling. She even felt a sudden dampness between her legs.

Her face flushed red, and Leng Yan shot Ye Fei a fierce glare before quickly getting back into the car and driving off. She knew tonight would be another sleepless one.
