Chapter 1386 New follower

”Looks like Westin woke up.”

With a thought, Ajax left his mind sea to check on Westin.

…

”Where am I?”

As Ajax expected, Westin woke up his eyes and saw unconscious Ajax beside him.

”Isnʼt he the young man who was showing off his battle prowess against the demons from the beginning of the war?”

Westin recognized Ajax with a single glance because of Ajaxʼs show off against the demons.

ʼWait a second.ʼ

At the same time, Westin felt a splitting headache as broken parts of his memories appeared in his head.

In those memories, Westin saw he was constantly surrounded by black energy and at some point of him, his body wearing the full battle set that was made up of that special demon energy.

ʼDid I just lose my mind and go berserk?ʼ

After checking those broken memories, Westin was shocked as he muttered, ʼIs this what that bastard meant by? That I will go berserk if I kill the demons?ʼ

Westin thought back to the time when he entered the nameless inheritance ground and was forced to receive the special demon energy and a passive cultivation technique.

ʼDamn it…then how can I save the Purple stone world from this demon invasion?ʼ

Westin could hear the battle cries and knew that the battle between the humans and the demons was still ongoing.

However, after learning what would happen if he killed any demons, Westin didnʼt have the courage to participate in the war because if he went crazy once again, he might end up killing the humans instead.

ʼBut, if I donʼt participate, the demons will win and take control over this world.ʼ

ʼIf only I can make use of this special demon energy without going crazy, not only can I participate in the battle, but I can change the tide of the battle.ʼ

Westin thought about another alternative where he could use the special demon energy without going crazy.

”You woke up, already?”

As Westin was thinking of a plan to participate in the fight, Westin saw Ajax woke up from his sleep.

”Yes. Thank you for saving me.”

After checking through his broken memories, Westin knew that he was saved by Ajax.

ʼWait a second….he could be my way to join the battle.ʼ

Just as Westin thanked Ajax, he suddenly thought of something and became excited.

”Itʼs nothing. How are you feeling right now?”

Ajax asked Westin about his condition out of concern because only if Westin was in his perfect condition, he could join the fight.

”I am fine but can you tell me how you are able to extract the special demonic energy from my body?”

Westin wanted to find out exactly how Ajax was able to extract that energy. So that he could join the battle against the demons without worrying about going insane.

”I know what you are thinking; however, I canʼt say anything about it.”

Ajax could see-through Westinʼs thoughts and shook his head as he didnʼt want to say that he had a system that could help him extract the energy from his body.

”...”

Westin wanted to say something; however, he hesitated and didnʼt say anything in the end.

”However, I can help you join the battlefield and extract the special demonic energy from your body when you reach the limit.”

While saving Westin, Ajax thought a lot about how to make Westin his follower and he found a few ways where he could accomplish that task.

Right now, he was using one of those plans.

”In return, what do you want? I should become your subordinate?”

Before Ajax could tell his condition for helping Westin, Westin already found out about his plan.

”Yes.”

Even though Ajax knew that his plan was seen through by Westin, he didnʼt disagree with Westin and nodded his head.

ʼSince he already knew my intentions, there is no use hiding it anymore as I really want a follower like him.ʼ

It was Ajaxʼs first time seeing someone else other than him use a demonic form. So, he wanted to help that human while learning more about the demonic form together.

”Okay then. I think it is a fair deal.”

Westin didnʼt think much before agreeing to become Ajaxʼs follower.

Whatʼs more, he even added the words ʼFair dealʼ, making Ajax surprised.

”Becoming my follower is completely different from becoming othersʼ follower.”

Even though Ajax was surprised that Westin agreed to become his follower without much persuasion, he could guess what Westin wanted right now.

Other than him, no one could help him in fighting against the demons. So, of course, Westin wanted to become his follower.

”I am not a person to go back on words. If I say I will follow someone, I will follow him/her orders without any hesitation.”

Westin revealed a serious look on his face as he continued, ”If you canʼt believe me, I can swear on the heaves to not betray you.”

”Haha…I am not worried about you betraying me because the moment you get that thought I will kill you without any hesitation.”

Ajax laughed a little as he asked one last time, ”So, you are sure about your decision, right?”

”Yes.”

Westin nodded his head with a face full of determination.

ʼDing,

Do you want to accept Westin as your follower?

As soon as Westin nodded his head, Ajax received a system notification in his head asking whether he wanted to accept Westin as his follower.

ʼOf course.ʼ

Ajax was dreaming about taking Westin as his follower for the last couple of hours. So, of course, he was more than happy at the system notification.

As for why he was excited about the system notification was because only when a cultivator was very serious about becoming his follower, the system would prompt a system notification.

ʼDing,

Detected that the new follower has a special body that could hold a limited special demonic energy.

ʼDing,

Giving the new follower a special status knowns as ʼSpecial followerʼ.

After accepting Westin as his follower, Ajax received two system notifications, making him pleasantly surprised.
